Excellent restaurant....service, food , and setting!
Return customer. Love the food here. This time for lunch. Soup was fantastic, as was the salmon. Service was exceptional. However, $80 for lunch for 2 is a bit crazy. Entree's were $16+, and when you add soup and a drink...gets a bit nuts price wise. While I love this place, could not afford to dine here more than a couple times a year.
Excellent food, drinks and service. I was really impressed by the pecorino budini appetizer and also enjoyed the polipo appetizer and the fettuccine carbonara.
I had ordered the pork chop. it was too rare in the middle so I sent it back. They did cook it more and did not charge me for it. They apologized and also gave us free desert. With that said I was disappointed I was not eating with my wife as I had to wait for the pork chop to be cooked again but they took care of the situation. I would like to return and hopefully not have any issues.
Our family met at Vallozzi's for a family dinner night and our experience could not have been more pleasant. Awesome staff, fabulous food and wonderful atmosphere. We would definitely visit again.
I enjoyed my wine but was disappointed that the bar was closed for a private party and I was not able to get HH pricing.

I really want to like this place as it is well located and i love Italian, but it just fails to deliver. We had the Tuna Carpaccio as an appetizer and it came upon a salt block. Three small pieces of tuna covered in shredded vegetables. Horrible value and not good. Honestly it shouldnt even be on the menu. Next we had the Insalata Mista salad and it was just very bland. Lastly we shared the PAPPARDELLE BOSCAIOLA and it was good but not great. All in all a very average dinner.

We enjoyed the unique buffalo mozzarella tasting and shared a superb risotto di mare with an abundance of shrimp, perfectly seared scallops and lobster.
Vallozzi's has excellent service. The food is divine and the decor is soothing, Can't wait to go again.
We were visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend and I found Vallozzi’s on Open Table, it had good reviews so decided to give it a shot. It did NOT disappoint!!! Best meal I’ve had in a couple years, I’d say, from start to finish. I had the Risotto di Mare which was incredible, and my husband had the (apparently award-winning) pork raviolis, which were also phenomenal. My son who is 9 loved the risotto ball and prosciutto sampler appetizers, as well as his pizza. His high praise was :”I think I like this even better than Wendy’s!”!!! Our server was top-notch as well, even though it was a busy Saturday night. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town!
Wonderful experience! Valet parked across the street ($10.) Seated promptly for a 6 p.m. reservation on a Saturday evening. Service was very good (perfect blend of meeting our needs; but, not overbearing or intrusive in any way. Thank you, Stephanie.) Starters were arancini, shrimp cocktail, and prosciutto sampler, (enjoyed in that order.) Entrees were 10 oz. filet, crab cakes, and Risotto Di Mare (seafood Risotto,) (enjoyed in that order.) Please note, the filet was excellent... one of the best our table had tasted in years! Cooked to perfection and glazed beautifully. (An absolute steal at $37.) Dessert was tiramisu and spice cake. Both were good; but, I was unable to locate something chocolate..., or more appropriate, something "death by chocolate-esque!" (Especially on Valentine's Day Weekend!) Seems like a definite missed opportunity. Aside from the glaring oversight, the meal was wonderful. Great atmosphere, attentive staff, delicious food and wine! Will definitely visit again in the very near future.
We live in Edinboro (1.5 hours away) and have season tickets to the Pittsburgh Symphony so we come down about 12 times a year. Valozzi’s is our favorite restaurant - the food is sensational!

We went here for Valentine’s Day. I got the pappardelle and my boyfriend got the lamb chops. Both were very good! We will be back
Valentines dinner - I figured this place would be nice but it really exceeded expectations. Our waitress was awesome (gave great recommendations too), the food was outstanding and the drinks were great too. Ambiance was really nice with some good music playing lightly too. Overall an awesome place - we’ll be back soon!
The venue and location were perfect for our night out for a show at the Benedum. We had a 5:30 reservation ( to give us plenty of time for an 8:00 show). That was good planning as it was a busy Saturday night. The wine selection for bottles was very good, but by the glass was very small. Our server was very nice and the speed of taking our orders and bringing drinks and then meals was pretty good for a busy Saturday night. I thought the menu was a 3.5 on a 5 point scale. My wife had a filet that was outstanding. I had the Bronzino and it wasn't that great. I'd definitely recommend not getting that dish. We had a sorbet for dessert that was simply awful. The server kindly didn't charge us for that tasteless crap. So overall, I'd give the place a 3.5 on a 5 point scale.
I ordered a ribeye steak done medium. The steak was barely rare, in fact raw. Sent it back and they re-cooked it and it came out well done and the texture of a boot. My wife had chicken parm. The chicken was good, but the spaghetti was awful. The service was really good, but the food is way overpriced and not good.
We really enjoyed our dinner. We will book again soon.
We had a lovely time before the Benedum show. Our food ranged from excellent to good bc the Chicken Parm was delicious but nothing special about it. Our other two meals were excellent ( Lobster Ravioli and Carbonera). The bread was divine and the olive oil was a good one. The fresh ricotta was delish and the only problem that we saw was that there just wasn't enough of the olive oil and cheese. It was so good! Our server was fine, I only gave the rating that I did because she did not explain the Daily Cheese Board when we ordered it or when it was dropped off, so we had no idea what we were eating and didn't care for most of it. We asked after the board was gone and after our dinner was over (the is when we had the chance) what the cheeses were and she had to go ask. It didn't matter bc it was gone anyway but had we known that they were all sheep' milk, we would have ordered the mozzerella as only two of the four of us like sheep cheese. Thank You
My compliments to the chef! He personally suggested the black cod and terrine; both were PHENOMENAL! My date had some dietary restrictions that they accommodated very well. Service was also excellent! We will be returning. ;)
Arancini was the best I’ve ever had.
Veal parm was among the worst I’ve ever had. No way that’s a $32 cut of Veal.
Service was fine but a little strange. It seemed like they were ignoring me and only speaking to my wife. Could be off here but it was a little uncomfortable.
We all thought our meals were just ok. For the price, we expected amazing. There were 5 of us in our party and none of us were excited about our meals.
Although we had a reservation, and received a call to confirm the day before, I was surprised to see how light the dinner crowd was. Excellent food, service and reasonable prices at an upscale restaurant. I enjoyed seeing the signed dinner plates in the lobby area outside a nice bar; one of the plates was signed by John Tortorella, coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets!

The restaurant is very cozy. Would certainly go back. The homemade pasta was fantastic. Waitress never told us about the specials… I only overheard there were specials based on somebody else at a table on the other side of the room.
Have been here numerous times, the service and food are excellent.
We were a party of six and most of us felt that the good was good, but not great. The exception was the salmon, which someone in our party rated as excellent. One of their signature dishes (according to the server), the black linguine was not very good. The sauce was non descript and the linguini had a somewhat sour flavor. The waitress came over too often when we initially arrived and didn't give us much of a chance to even review the menu. And the person who filled the water glasses kept filling them each time they were half full, even though most of us said no thank you. We shared a dessert and it was fabulous, so kudos to the pastry chef.
Excellent food and environment. Very enjoyable dining experience. Service was on the slower side but we were not in a hurry, so we didn’t mind.

First time here. Great atmosphere at Vallozi’s. Liked this location much better than greensberg. Food was good however the amount of food you get was disappointing for the amount of money you pay for. (Depending on what you order)

My husband and I dined at Vallozzi's during Restaurant Week. We both had the fixed price menu with wine pairings. We both had the Caesar salad. For the entree, I had the ravioli and my husband had the chicken. The ravioli and wine pairing were impeccable! The portion size was just enough, and the ravioli was simultaneously light and hearty. The chicken was a larger portion and my husband had a hard time finishing it, but the flavors were great. For dessert, I had the tiramisu and my husband had the petit fours. The tiramisu had a nice coffee flavor, but the cream was a bit thick. The petit fours was delicious and had a nice consistency. We preferred the wine pairing for the petit fours over the tiramisu, but they were still good. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. We would definitely come back!
