We were greeted warmly and our table was ready right away. The waitress was attentive and offered her opinions regarding the menu. The pasta meals were very good and the Chicken Parmesean was a large protion and tender.
Great evening! Congrats on Best Bite!
Vallozzi’s is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and wine are always exceptional. The service is outstanding and the ambience is very nice. We will definitely return for another fine dining experience.
This is my third time dining here and I’ve loved the food each time! Delicious, well seasoned, and sizable portions every time. The staff is great and very knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely a staple restaurant for me.
Everything was fabulous aside from not recognizing it was my birthday (which was in reservation notes). Server seemed a bit weeded with a big top in the other room. Will definitely be back next time we're in town from Virginia Beach.
Great food; waiter picked up another table; our service diminished. He did apologize, however, getting dessert and our check made us leave the dessert untouched and almost late for the play.
All very good, and we had an enjoyable meal.
Celebrated our anniversary !
They have great homemade pasta. The wine list is a bit pricey but you can find a decent bottle for under $100.
This place was amazing! Food for delicious and service was outstanding!
We were dining with our friends, party of 4. The service was top notch, the cocktails and wine were very good. The food (we all different pasta dishes) was very average. Three of us noted that the pasta was very chewy. This included the gnocchi, the duck ravioli and spaghetti dishes. I've eaten at Vallozzi's once before and had an excellent meal, so I'm hoping this was an off night.
Visited Vallozzi's for the first time on a first date. The service was amazing, and the food was delicious. Definitely would recommend.
First time at downtown location. Service a little slow. Food was excellent.
The food, atmosphere, and service were amazing! Our new favorite place downtown!
This is the first time that I've been to the Pittsburgh location. I made a reservation and met a friend for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant has nice décor, is clean and very inviting. The service and food were excellent, and it was great place to relax and chat. We both had the radicchio salad with salmon and agreed that it was delicious -- very fresh and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing, and had no issues when we asked for separate checks. I will definitely be back!
Food and service by our waiter, David, were excellent. We will be back.
Disappointing. Service was very good. Food bland. There are better choices.
Overall, very good. Service was a little slow, but looked a little short staffed. Waiter did the best he could.
Food was very good,as usual, but noise level made speaking and listening to others in party difficult.
Food was fabulous. Wait staff was okay, I had to ask a lot of questions about the menu and she was very quick to answer, quick as in short and she wasn’t busy. Took long to get the check.
The team was very accommodating to my food allergies and preferences. They were flexible and that was great.
Very nice staff.
Excellent food selection along with a great Italian wine list.
Went for lunch. Food was excellent and the service very good.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and time. There were 7 of us visiting Pittsburgh for the body building competition at the Sheraton. The food was quite tasty, the service was a delight and the experience overall was very pleasant. We would return if in the area.
Excellent all around!
Celebrating an engagement
The restaurant is beautiful and our service was great. We ordered the calamari appetizer and received the bread with Ricotta and oil, as well, which was delicious. My husbands filet was cooked to medium rare perfection, however, his broccolini was slightly overdone and charred. My biggest disappointment was the Pappardelle Bolognese. The meat was dry and quite crumbly, and the sauce/overall dish was very bland. I have eaten at Vallozzi’s before and it has always been great. Not sure if it was an off night, but it wasn’t the best for celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary. Bread pudding was excellent as always though.
Wonderful meal from drinks to main course (no room for dessert) excellent customer service.
Great service, smiling faces on team.
We loved the burrata appetizer. My salmon, requested medium, was over cooked and tasted odd.
Because I had a business guest at dinner, I did not complain, but I will not order salmon there again.
We went to restaurant week for the special menu. It was our 4th visit and we have had good experiences in the past. I think they were overwhelmed with the restaurant week crowd.
My wife ordered the salad with prosciutto and there was no prosciutto. That was bad. Also, we ordered the wine pairings with our 3 courses. The manager didn’t bring our 2nd wine pairing until after we finished the main course. We had the feeling that the special menu was a pain for the staff.
On a positive point, the gnocchis were fantastic. The mussels and clams were excellent too. I would go to Valozzi again but not during restaurant week.
We tried Vallozzi's during restaurant week and ordered from the special limited menu. There was very limited Italian dishes available so we ordered something we would like instead which was the steak. It was full of fat and gristle and came with lettuce and chopped green tomatoes on top! What is this? The meal did not give a good introduction to dining at what I thought would be one of Pittsburgh's finest Italian restaurants.
Service was very poor. My friends food was inedible and nothing was done when he complained. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one.
Went for restaurant week but ended up ordering off the regular menu! Appetizers are big enough to share (mozarella and fritto misto). Pasta was amazing and the bread pudding is a must try! They have an excellent wine list too.
Anthony was an excellent server! Offered wonderful recommendations, fun conversation, wasn't too busy to check on us yet wasn't pushy or around too much. Wonderful dinner and experience
Being there on Restaurant Week, I ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. It was delicious (Chicken Picatta and Parma Salad.) My friend ordered off the regular menu (a four course plate of which I cannot remember the name.) She said it was delicious and perfect for her smaller appetite. There is something for everyone here.
Went for restaurant week. The food was fine, but nothing special. We did like the wine pairings and that was a good addition.
Excellent restaurant week menu
This experience was pleasant from start to finish!
During Restaurant Week er were very impressed with the options and the quality of food. Plates were very colorful with lots of variety and thoughtful presentation. We have gad numerous great experiences and would highly recommend!
The food and service was excellent. Would definitely return.
We held our coworkers going away lunch at Vallozzi’s Pittsburgh, and it was great! The food was delicious, the service was great, and the experience was tremendous!!
