Outstanding meal and service.
Laura was outstanding and provided the greatest service! We’ll be back.
Two of us had the special rabbit pasta. Was ok but indistinguishable from pork.
One person had the seafood pasta and it was very spicy for her taste.
The bread which we had remembered as being very good pre-pandemic was very disappointing. Small square chunks of italian bread, not warm. A mixture of butter mixed with a bit of spice that seemed rather flavorless and like it had been frozen and just popped into the Microwave.
The food was excellent and the service was even better. The server made the experience memorable and timed our meal perfectly. I would definitely recommend.
The restaurant is beautiful and the waitstaff very efficient. We were there for my sister’s birthday and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Two of us had the gnocchi main course which could have used a bit more salt in it. Two others had the veal parmigiana and liked it. I had the bread pudding for dessert and it was to die for. Just be careful taking the first bite; the caramel was really hot!
David was our server and he did a great job explaining the specials and helping us with menu selections. We started out with pizza as an appetizer and the crust was old school and cooked just right. For our entrees we had veal parmigiana. The veal was more rolled and breaded then pounded thin. It could have used a little more sauce because it was a little dry. Presentation was good as it was served over polenta. We also ordered a side of the Parmesan polenta because we were told the veal was served over spaghetti. Needless to say we should have told our server, but we still enjoyed the evening and experience.
Lovely sit down dinner. Smaller menu but was happy with the selections. The Delmonico steak was prepared well but the burrata lacked the creaminess I expected. Overall good experience.
What an amazing evening at Vallozzis. The restaurant is so beautifically decorated and our server (I think her name was Eileen) was wonderful. She took such great care of us. The pappardelle and Del Monico steak were delicious. The drinks were great and the sorbet tasting was the perfect way to end the meal. We will definitely be back!
Service was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Crab cake appetizer a very generous portion and loaded with crab meat. Ravioli dish is new on the menu, very flavorful.
I don’t normally write reviews but truly the staff at Vallozzi’s provided us with a *perfect* evening. The food, the suggested wine pairing, the atmosphere and vibe in the lounge area, and the service were absolutely outstanding. Thank you again.
Great food and original menu. We will go back again.
We had a delightful evening as our first post-pandemic outing. The service was great, food delicious.
Love this place. Great pasta, good food!
Server made us feel like it was a bother that she had to wait on our table.
The chicken Parm was dry and tough with zero flavor and the red sauce was like water.
The lobster truffle pasta tasted like bad fish broth with zucchini over powering the entire dish.
Bad veal. No backs to the seats in the bar for a fine dining meal
It was our first time back since before the pandemic started. The food and drinks were delicious as always and they are doing a good job managing safety protocols.
Setup and service were excellent, prompt, courteous. Very, very nice. The food was very good but there's such a high bar for Italian food. Also, I only had one thing - everyone at the table was very happy with their meal. Very well prepared and tasty. Drinks and wine selections were very good.
SERVICE WAS PROFESSIONAL. SERVER WAS ATTENTIVE WITHOUT BEING ANNOYING. I WOULD RECOMMEND THE ARANCINI AND CROSTINI. BOTH APPETIZERS WERE VERY GOOD. I ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE FLAVOR OF THE CROSTINI. THE ENTREES WERE QUITE FILLING. BROUGHT HALF OF MINE HOME AND SAVORED THE LAYERS OF FLAVORS BUILT IN THE VEAL MILANESE. GLASSES OF THE HOUSE WINES WERE GOOD AND PRICED WELL. WE LOOK FORWARD TO DINING THERE WITH OUR GROUP 12. I THINK THEY WILL VERY MUCH ENJOY VALLOZZI'S AS MUCH AS WE DID
The restaurant was clean and inviting, the hostess was pleasant and helpful, the server was extremely efficient friendly and knowledgeable and the food was wonderful . The server’s suggestions lived up to his descriptive recommendations . We were having such a nice evening we lost track of time and were at our table for three hours . We were the last people in the restaurant but the staff never once tried to rush us out and they were just as friendly on our way out the door as they were when we walked in. We were a table of 4 with 4 different entrees and each was cooked to perfection and delicious . I would never hesitate to recommend this restaurant .
Phenomenal service. Amazing food. A great gem in the city I never knew about. Definitely coming back.
Amazing food and atmosphere! Took my family for my daughter’s graduation dinner. I couldn’t have asked for anything better!
It's a very intimate place to share a date with. The wait staff are very considerate and professional. The menu has appropriate range and theme. The results from the kitchen are exceptional.
Our waiter was charming, the entire staff was very friendly, beautiful and romantic atmosphere, and exceptional food. We already cannot wait to go back!
Came here from drinks and appetizers. Great service and overall experience. Food was delicious and the drinks were so good too.
Dinner was wonderful, and our server, Eva, was even better than the food. She let us have a great time and when she came to the table to take orders or deliver food, she added to our conversation and truly added to our fun. She's a gem.
We came for dinner with my aunt and uncle, who came to visit and pick up my cousin from college. My partner and I eat at Vallozzi’s regularly (more so pre-covid 19), so we figured it was a no brainer. We sat at the bar like always, but the service was not great. Our waitress seemed more like we were an inconvenience to her, and wasn’t exactly friendly. The appetizers were great, but the dinner was super disappointing. The seafood was over cooked, and the veil wasn’t like it used to be. Hopefully when the world is back to normal, the overall quality will be back to normal as well.
Excellent service. Very nice wine list.
We had a great time at Vallozzi’s! It was our first time there and we were celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. Our waitress brought us a complimentary Prosecco toast to celebrate and even wrapped up the night with a complimentary dessert liquor. The food was also delicious! We’ll be coming back for sure!
I typically dine alone. This was my first experience after many recommendations for the restaurant. I had started with a spring mule and the Burrata with Fried Green Tomatoes. After I had ordered the Crab Cakes which were phenomenal and very filling. It was amazingly paired with some sweet Riesling! Overall had an amazing time and service was great. The worst part would be the people and audience that attend there, but that’s typical Pittsburgh - the people and their loud conversations make for a great laugh!
Extensive wine list !
We would go back!
Veal shank was amazing. Make sure to get a little spoon for the marrow!
Food, Wine and Service were impeccable. Love sitting on the bar side with the floor to ceiling windows. One of my favorite restaurants!
I loved it. Highly recommended. Perfect place for a romantic dinner.
Service was amazing - definitely above and beyond.
Everything was awesome
The food ambience served was over the top
A fantastic dinner evening
Definitely will be back
Very pretty decor, the tables were set apart, the food was very good and the wait staff were fun and friendly. We were celebrating our 18 year old choosing his college after a long process.
The food was as good as it has ever been, unfortunately, it look like staffing was the issue. As the evening wore on the sever was less and less available, causing the last half hour to be painful in terms of attention from service
The lamb shank was amazing. And the pork belly and octopus appetizer was great. I must try.
Not good. I usually don’t take the time write reviews, but this was necessary. Saw the autographed plates on the wall as soon as we walked in gave me high hopes that this was going to be a great dining experience. Nice ambience for a Wednesday night. The server was unfriendly in the beginning, as though they are ready for their shift to end. Then the server became friendlier once they realize we barely ate any of our food as it wasn’t tasty. Free bread in the beginning was old, not good. This was the first tell. Then Ordered: meatballs (it was cold inside, as though it was sitting out all day and they microwaved it warm it up); parmesan risotto (very good! The best thing I had all night!); spinach pizza (it was ok); delmonico (terrible as though the meat was in inventory for a while and waiting to be ordered); stuffed chicken parm (not traditional, not good); ricotta cannelloni (not good, actually the best part is the melted mozzarella on top, pasta itself was not worth the carbs. I ate two bc I felt bad); burrata (I’ve had better, tasted like it’s been sitting in the fridge). I guess server overheard us complain at how unappetizing it was and saw that we weren’t eating most of it, so she gave us a discount which I appreciate. However we will not be going back. Time for Tagamet :(
