Loved the vibe in this "red booth" restaurant. Our server was absolutely delightful. A place for adults who appreciate mid-century eateries.
Fabulous as always! Service, food, portions. All was perfect. We are never disappointed!
Fabulous as always. This is our go to place for a good meal. Always good service and great food!
This is a great neighbor restaurant with great food and service. The dining chairs are a little odd and older and would prefer a booth next time but overall a great experience!
My husband and I eat here often. Last night he had the fried chicken special which came with mashed potatoes and vegetables with a glass of champagne included. The whole dinner was under $20.00 as I recall. I had the walnut crusted chicken breast, baked potato, vegetables and a salad. I loved wrapping my hands around a cold martini, especially in the summer heat.
Host and hostess are lovely, warm and inviting people. We sat in deep black leather booths, and could easily hear one another. The restaurant has an old-fashioned feel to it. The food is consistently excellent and the service is friendly and excellent.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
My friends and I had a lovely evening. We did want potato pancakes as an appetizer and you didn't have it
Valley Inn is always an enjoyable experience of old school quality and value. Meals are cooked to perfection, wait staff attentive, and the overall experience makes it a place to go repeatedly.
I received an email advertising a special for July 3rd only. Great value and nice choices. Excellent promotion.
One of our favorites in the Valley. Warm, old world feel to the restaurant. Food is excellent. Best liver and onions I've ever had and I've had a lot. Great prime rib and fish as well. Friendly, fast service.
A reliable restaurant, been there for years, always can be counted on to be a good experience.
Great food, amazing service, and a wonderful experience! This place is consistently one if the best restaurants in Los Angeles!
Just a great neighborhood restaurant that has been there for sooo many decades. Always a good, reasonable food, good service. The place where you go when you want comfort food and a step back into just the olden days------but a great and active martini bar too.
Lived in the valley my whole life and always said I need to go there. Finally did! I will be going back. We loved it.
Came early and later got very busy and extremely noisy. Could hardly hear from across the table. The food and service was good.
Ordered the fried chicken and were told about the 30 - 40 minute wait time. Actually took over 60 minutes to receive our entrees. Chicken was at best average. Would not order again.
Our party of five thoroughly enjoyed our varied selection of entree. The portions were ample and delicious. In addition to the regular rolls, the garlic toast was a very nice touch, enhancing the meal.
Special compliments to the bartender who really knows his business!! The drinks were wonderful, with no skimping on the liquor.
Always love to go to this neighbor gem! Comfotable and always delicious!
Another Great dinner at the valley in. This was a birthday celebration for my 87-year-old mom. The service was wonderful and mom was so happy! Rib Eye was delicious!
Old school and loving it. Lucky enough to enjoy the amazing baked fried chicken with country gravy which was on their 1947 menu. Love original throw back places like this.
Parking was difficult! All the meters were taken.
The good and service was great. An oldie but a goodie!
Always fine service and reliably good traditional food.
Food was fine, not great. Loved the service and the comfortable ambiance. Would definitely go again.
Fabulous as always! The food, the service and the portions are alwAys consistent. It is our “go to” place
The Valley Inn is beginning to be our go to restaurant. The food is delicious. My wife ordered the special short ribs and she (who is an expert) said it was outstanding. I had the duck with the cherry sauce. The duck was prepared perfectly, crisp on the outside, but not dry on the inside. Also, the dish was not drenching in sauce. More of a hint which complements the duck. Great!
The staff from owner to bus boy are top rate and very accommodating. Love this restaurant.
Food service was uneven, not everything came at once, waitress did not seem very happy.
Old, classic vibe. Menu had something for everyone but be warned that if going for the fried chicken to pre-order it. Chelsea, our waitress, was wonderful.
This is like my 10 th visit
Best restaurant in the valley!
Sophia and Borris are the sweetest people
The corned beef and cabbage was superb. Crowded but pleasant and quick service. Love the Valley Inn.
Our Server was Lilly, Just Perfect in every way. The Food was Fabulous, Love this Restaurant just like the old days, which aren't many left, Thank You for making this Day Special. Warm Wishes Daniel and Kathy Poloski
For the above list I I would say all.
Most important: we had a great time in this reliable neighborhood haunt.
Overpriced but delicious.
Celebrating a family member's achievement with a special dinner. Very good food, excellent service by Vicki Joe, a dining room that was comfortably quiet on this particular Monday night for conversation. Looking forward to the next time too at this old-Hollywood style restaurant.
Very tasty food with good, friendly service.
This is a perfect restaurant location for those of us who live on the west side but have good friends in the valley. We've been there in the past and glad we thought of it again. It is always good food, nice people, and cozy. The parking is easy and so is freeway access. We celebrated a birthday and all enjoyed their food and drinks.
The restaurant felt really good. It was warm and inviting, the service was excellent and the food good.
Sorry to say that this venerable old establishment missed the mark so widely. Had a nice lunch a few months back and that prompted me to try dinner. The place was packed on a Sunday night. There was no one at the front desk and we had to ultimately figure out what to do. This was met with waiter/waitress understaffing. We were "accidentally" found at our table by one well-meaning waitress and eventually served. The drinks were fine. The rack of lamb was good. The salmon was tasteless and WAY overcooked, and the mashed potatoes had spice which does not belong and for which I was not warned. We were told that the chef was absent, perhaps attending a movie with the front desk person. I'd say that this location, which has been around for 70 years, could stand a little energy, a little care, and a little more into the wait staff so they dont seem so hassled and sour, as well as inattentive.
