Valle Cucina Italiana Ratings and Reviews
The food was delicious. The service was slow which I could understand if they were busy, but there were very little other diners there at the same time that we were. When we got there, there were only 4 other people dining there and by the time we left there was no more than 10 people there. Also felt the shrimp cocktail was over priced. We ordered two of the shrimp cocktails and a flat bread to share for appetizers. The order was placed all at once but the second shrimp cocktail didn't come out until way after we finished the other appetizers.
We have dined at this restaurant many times over the past 20 years and find the food to be typically good. Food was good on this night as well however the table was awful. We had a reservation for a group of eight to celebrate a milestone birthday and they seated us at the back where two tables for four are crammed into a niche next to the kitchen and takeout counter. There is loud kitchen noise, constant traffic and cold breezes when the outside door opens. This set up is totally inappropriate for a restaurant of this price point. Unfortunately there were no other options for seating our size group at that time. We made the best of it, but it’s unlikely that we will return. I’m sure that our $300 could’ve bought a better experience elsewhere.
Food is always excellent. Risottos are always a favorite. Appetizers are large enough to share. The calamari was perfect; the shrimp and scallop appetizer is great. My husband and I both had a steak and their filet is outstanding. And the staff is great..Jen is always the best.
Overall a good experience, especially for NYE.
Stephanie was our server and she was very good.
I ordered a meal which was served in one plate and it wA fine (the salmon was perfectly done-the large cashews on it was weird but I didn’t mind-served in a bed of cauliflower, which was done well too). Hubble ordered a barrel cut ribeye-but I’m pretty sure he was served a sirloin-or it was a pretty poor piece of ribeye. He ordered a side crab cake (this was very good with large pieces of crab) and a side of smashed potatoes. All came on large plates, but we were seated at a small table. Silly.
We live in the neighborhood close to Valle, so it has become our go-to on a weekly basis for takeout. Recently we dined in the restaurant, to celebrate our son's 18th birthday with family....everything was on point. Our server was great, the food delicious, and our family, who had never experienced Valle, raved about their meals. We ordered two crab risottos for the table as an appetizer, and, as per usual, it was outstanding! I went for the special entree, which was PB&J crusted salmon.....It was as fantastic tasting, as it was creative! The bread.....the bread....the bread.....love, love, love it.....dipped in freshly crushed garlic and olive oil with just a sprinkle of grated cheese.....so simple, yet so perfect!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. My parents, who live in Middletown, Delaware, cannot wait to come back for another fine meal.
Valles never disappoints! It's my "neighborhood" favorite for a really good meal and great value. Tried something different. Was OK but not my favorite. Love their chicken parm, veal parm, eggplant parm, lasagna, scampi, steaks. It was another great evening. You can NOT go wrong dining here.
We enjoy Balles quite a lot. My only major complaint is I cannot bring my best freind with garlic allergy here. Literally there is nothing she can eat here without garlic in it. We went to Italy and she was always accommodated easily for her garlic allergy.
Valle's is an excellent restaurant. Good service and ambiance. However it is the food that makes the experience. The crab cakes are the best I have ever had anywhere. Simply outstanding. The pizza is also excellent. The prices are not bad, specifically when compared to the quality of the food. I highly recommend it.
Was on a date with my husband. Food was excellent and wine list was great. I had the filet au poivre and my husband had the veal parm. With the size of the parm, we took half home. The waitress was very nice but seemed to want to rush us a little.
I wish the restaurant was bigger. The noise level of the screaming toddler next to us who wanted her meal NOW made it tough to talk. Parents were not interested in stopping the tantrum.
You wouldn't expect to get an excellent quality steak at this strip mall restaurant, but the steaks are definitely top notch and always cooked to perfection. I like to pair with their amazing risotto and Brussels sprouts. Manager Dean is always around and knows what's going on, and wait staff is always on point.
We have been eating at Valle's since 1987 and have never had a bad experience or ordinary meal. Great local resturant a real find, and good value for your meal.
Friends from out of town, comment that it must be great having such a great resturant located so close to home. Valle's has a second to none wine list and great mixed drinks.
Valle's is our go to resturant for business , family dinning , and special events.
Nice Italian restaurant. We came for a post college graduation dinner with a party of 10. Atmosphere was nice and quiet with dim lighting. Food was delicious with generous portons. A little pricy but not out of the ordinary when comparing to similiar restaurants. Only complaint would be that it really doesn't accomodate bigger parties. We were all together but at a table of 4 next to a table of 6. Not good for conversing with each other and it felt very tight all around us. We made due and had a really nice dinner. They allowed us to make reservations....a plus in my book. I would highly recommend.
Inexperienced bartender, Husband ordered salmon bites in vodka cream sauce, but they just doused it in oil and forgot the sauce! Skip the chicken Ava- it was awful and so overpowered with rosemary. We used to enjoy this restaurant but the food was poor. Also, we had reservations but had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Bread plate was dirty and no one wiped the crumb- covered seats when they cleared the table.
