Our wait staff was wonderful in helping us with a very unusual an special diet that my mom has. The chef accommodated all her needs and even surprised her by making a special dessert that she could eat - it was a lovely special night out.

Delicious! The food was really unique and beautifully plated. My husband and I went for our anniversary and it was a great ambiance and experience for a special occasion. The waitstaff was incredible and the owner walked around chatting with tables which was really cute

Great food, great service. We had the chefs choice 5 course tasting menu. They set it up so that we each got different dishes and we basically got to taste everything on the menu . Can’t wait to go back . Next time we will dine at the bar which looks really fun

Everything was delicious, really top notch! My husband and I shared the salad and my only regret was that we didn’t get each get our own - fantastic! They kindly split the salad for us and gave us each a goat cheese croquette. I had the scallops in croute which I’d had before and loved it. My husband had halibut and raved about it. Dinner is kinda spendy (wines by the glass were $18) but it was a special + wonderful dinner with friends. Everyone loved their meal.

Best New Restaurant in Sonoma Wine Country.

This restaurant was recommended by a tasting room employee at a local Winery. Was lucky to get in for an early reservation on a Thursday. Split a Tuna Poki appetizer with a friend. It was amazing. Perfect cubes of tuna with crunchy nori chips, aioli, sesame seeds, warm avocado and wakame salad. Amazing! I had to pause with each bite to appreciate the complexity of the textures and flavors. My friend and I both ordered the halibut encrusted in pancetta. It was presented in medallions on top of sweet corn with small crunchy bits of pancetta and diced poblano peppers. An oven roasted tomato vinaigrette accompanied it. Fish was perfectly cooked, slightly rare in the center. Desserts (The S’more and Roasted Strawberries and Cream) were inventive, fun and delicious. The bill for 2 glasses of sparkling wine, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, a bottle of Chablis, 2 desserts and a cappuccino came to $209. A genuine bargain compared to most over priced, pretentious restaurants in the Bay Area.

This restaurant is a gem.

Overall great experience. Seated quickly for our reservation. Servers were well versed in the menu, we had Will-he was great! Cocktails were on the strong side, but that just meant I would finish my wife’s. We had the poke and scallops to start, both very good-poke was our favorite. Then the wagyu steak and swordfish—steak was cooked to medium rare, a bit tougher than expected, but flavorful. Swordfish was a little dry, enjoyable, but wouldn’t order it again. Desserts were delicious, we had the s’mores and “not a snickers”—-both delicious. Will brought us the strawberry tart since we were debating it and it was also very good. Desserts and the poke were our favorite, we will return and likely do the chefs tasting.

What an amazing experience! Highly recommend the Chef’s tasting menu. Chef Dustin is the best and he has surrounded himself with a 5-star team. Valette is a must-dine in Healdsburg!

Food and service was great. Our waitress was very pleasant as well as the rest of the server. I strongly recommend this place for a special occasion. Would go back anytime we're in the area.

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. We had a somewhat distracted waiter, but the rest of the staff jumped in and made it a great service experience as well. Mr. Valette even stopped by the table to chat and make sure we were enjoying ourselves! Will definitely be back soon

We have been to Valette many times and I think this was one if the best! We did the tasting menu - which is a must. Everything was amazing and great way to try most things on the menu. Can’t wait for our next dinner there.

We were astonished by the quality of our meal! The scallops en croute and wagyu steak entree were mind blowing! And our waiter was knowledgeable with a delightful demeanor. A perfect meal!

Honestly this far exceeded our expectations. We opted to do a 6-course tasting menu with wine pairing. Our server was spot on as was everything else. Bravo!

Our 5th time here and always consistently excellent.
Swordfish, sirloin, soup were fabulous. The tuna tartare was OUTSTANDING.
The service this time felt rushed and perfunctory by the server. Felt like we were at a diner.
We will be back!

As others have said the scallop en croute appie was absolutely magnificent! The wait staff was so knowledgeable and helpful. Only criticism, if you’d call it that, was the portions were a little small for their prices.

We did the "trust the chef" 5 course tasting menu. The food was superb, but the service really put it over the top. One person in our party had allergies to certain foods, and our server went above and beyond to accommodate him and make sure everyone had a great experience. We also called half an hour before our reservation to try to add two more people to the reservation, and they made it happen even though it was a full night. In addition to the service, one dish that had us talking about it the day after was the ahi poke appetizer with the best nori chips we've ever had. A must order at this restaurant. Pretty good value for the food too.

Valette NEVER disappoints....the highest quality Ingredients mixed with incredible recipes make for an awesome experience!
We love coming to Valette and I have never had anything but an outstanding experience there!!

Ordered ala carte - wasn't up to the 5+ course tasting menu but heard it is amazing. Started with the house-made charcuterie which was almost a meal in itself - for $23, it is a bargain! Other highlights included the scallops en croute (scallops in a black squid ink puff pastry with a decadent cream sauce) and the wagyu beef. And don't forget the Flying Goat french press coffee! Corkage is a very reasonable $20.

The interior design of this place could be called "industrial chic" as it is open forum and airy. It does work however and you will see all manner of dress here from upscale to shorts and tee shirt (but thankfully, not any baseball capped diners). The service and food is top notch as it should because they price the menu to accommodate the wine country location. Staff and servers were all very attentive and friendly and even got a visit from Bob Valette who inquired about how we enjoyed our evening. Very enjoyable experience while visiting Sonoma and surrounding area.

We looked forward to our dinner at Valette and on the whole it was quite good. The service- by John- was excellent! He was the ultimate professional. Friendly and helpful.
Our appetizer’s were wonderful! We had three of them - the scallops, the tuna pokie, and a peach burrata salad- all were terrific!
My entree- the swordfish, was great! It was well complimented by some grilled octopus and fennel.
My partner’s dish was half wonderful and half disappointing. Hence four instead of five stars. The steak was perfectly done, but the merguez smoked lamb just did not work-Very dry and over seasoned. The only misstep in an otherwise wonderful meal.
We enjoyed the evening a lot though and look forward to eating at Valette again.

First time at this restaurant. It was wonderful. We couldn't eat all the food we ordered. We shared all the dishes we ordered. We started with a 1/2 board charcuterie, then a salad, then the wonderful scallop appetizer, then the steak. Doesn't sound like a lot but we left full. Every item was great and the service was superb. We will go again when we are back in Healdsburg.

Valette's never disappoints. The kitchen and service staff are at the top of their game. Every aspect of our dining experience was outstanding. The food is creative and the staff id attentive, but the feel of the restaurant is casual and friendly and the price is reasonable. This is a our favorite place in Healdsburg and we live here. If you want to experience the wonderful place male reservations early.

One of the best dining experiences we have had in years. We got the chef’s tasting menu and ordered 6 different items each to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Basically, each one was great and we could not believe they equaled or surpassed the previous one. Portions were considerable for a tasting menu, notably a pasta and two different presentations of filet mignon that we had. Duck was fantastic, as was the tuna poke and a steak tartare-type dish. Scallops in a giant puffed pastry are a house specialty. Desert was over the top, and they even waived a corkage fee for our anniversary. Frank, our waiter, was superb as were other staff who helped out along the evening. Valette is clearly well-managed and runs like a finely tuned machine. And, one of the other staff was our hostess at the Jorden Winery tour the next day and knew about the couple who ordered 6 courses! Be hungry if you do.
