The relationships we have formed with our purveyors have given us the opportunity to work with what is available while providing the flexibility of changing our menu weekly.

Phenomenal experience! We had the chef’s 5 course “trust me” menu. It was awesome. Highly recommend to anyone contemplating the tasting menu. We will be back!

Food was overrated. Two of us had the sole stuffed with Dungeness crab. It had very little flavor. Two of us had the steak and both said it was the toughest steak they had ever had. The side dish of mushrooms and the appetizer of ahi poke was delicious. Service was spotty.

Second meal at Valette.
Good dining experience overall.
We had the sunchoke soup and Sonoma salad, well seasoned and presented followed by the duck breast and petrale sole.
Both dishes were delicious. Nice little warm bread roll service as well
Desserts could have use a little more love , very sweet (smore's and "bread and butter") the "smore's " concept is overdone in every gimmicky way possible, the brown butter ice cream was icy , sadly too many very good restaurants are not giving much attention to desserts : ( ..........as long as it is sweet
For me ..as the last course...sit hould be like the cherry on top of the cake !
Great wine list by the glass or bottle, attentive service.
Will return

Outstanding service, food and ambiance. The menu features the best Sonoma County has to offer, including a solid wine list. The food was top notch from preparation to presentation. It has become one of our favorite Healdsburg restaurants and it never disappoints.

Went for Restaurant Week and the portion sizes were huge! So worth the $39. Our server was amazing! Brought in a bottle of bubbles and he never let our glasses get empty. Would for sure go back and recommend to others.

Exceptional food & service as expected. This was the second time my daughter and I celebrated our birthdays here. All three of us ordered Liberty duck, so delicious. My scallop dish was so tasty, the salad was delicious per my daughter, the poke was a bit bland, needed a bit more spice or heat.

We were there during restaurant week, so that may have been part of the problem. Our main course was a tough, rubbery piece of pork. Very disappointing since we had heard such great things about this place. The salad was average - I’ve made better at home, but the dessert redeemed the meal. The “Not a Snicker Bar” dessert was delicious, that’s why I gave 3 stars instead of 2 for food.

Food was absolutely amazing. Flavor combinations and textures were fabulous. The service seemed more forced/practiced (maybe tired?) than employees that are proud of where they work, but other than that - the experience was worth price tag.

We had been looking forward to dining at Valette following a recommendation from our hotel and having seen very good reviews online. Alas, the food was average at best. The first course pasta dish was perfectly edible but the pasta was too thick and slightly tough and the dish needed more seasoning. The main course pork was a big piece of meat but had little flavour and to our taste was over cooked and quite tough. It had a very sweet honey glaze and was served on a bed of mushy and tasteless vegetables. Not a success. The “snickers” bar dessert was pleasant enough but the chocolate fondant was dry and chewy and served with an unpleasant sauce. The dish was basically inedible. On the positive side the cost was only USD39 for three courses as it was restaurant week. But even at that price the food wasn’t worth the money. The mark ups on the wine seemed reasonable and we drank a good bottle of Littorai Pinot Noir for USD105. Service was friendly and attentive but the waiters seemed to assume that the food was great and asked us and other tables “wouldn’t it be great to start over?”. No it wouldn’t.

The Trust Me chef's choice menu is so fun! And Heather our server was great. A perfect place to celebrate our anniversary with friends. It seemed busier than usual since it was also restaurant week.

Unbelievable flavors, beautiful presentation & a true family owned restaurant. My husband & I celebrated our wedding anniversary here & were greeted by our server & presented with a handwritten card from the two owners (brothers) thanking us for celebrating such a special occasion with them. Such a nice gesture. And the FOOD is insane. We opted for the "Trust the Chef" menu choice & decided on 6-courses total. Every single dish that came out smelled divine, was gorgeously plated & tasted like heaven. The best part is they each course came with two separate, unique plates allowing our 6 course meal to quickly turn into a 12 course meal! We left full, happy & content after our meal - would definitely come back the next time we're in Healdsburg.

This is my favorite restaurant in Healdsburg. I can not understand why this restaurant does not have a Michelan Star. My wife and I ate there this past Thursday. I had a pasta appetizer that I shared with my wife that was just plain delicious. I then had the pork chop that was brined with honey and served with pulled pork mixed with greens and a slaw that was like no other slaw I have ever had. This pork chop dish was the best I have e ever had in my life. My wife had the sole dish which she loved.
Dustin Valette is magical at blending different taste sensations that make him an artist. I would rather eat here then at Singlethread, the French Laudry or a lot of other touted restaurants. I have eaten at these restaurants and other Michelan Starred restaurants all over the world. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Valette.

Absolutely Fabulous! The best meal I've ever had. The scallop soufflé appetizer was better than I could have imagined...the presentation was beautiful and creative and the flavors so incredibly delicious. The duck breast was the best duck I have ever had and I have eaten a lot of duck. Our server Joe was on point and affable. We enjoyed sharing stories with him too.
There are many restaurants to choose from in wine country but this one is truly a home run!

Food is wonderful, service is amazing. The biggest problem with Valette is the noise level. It's a lovely - and I believe historic - venue, but with concrete walls and floors, it gets very loud very fast. That said, we put up with the noise because the food is so good.

Our group of 4 had a six course option. Just stunning food! The selection was determined for us by the chef, knowing our likes/dislikes. Such an amazing selection of different courses and so elegantly presented. Selection of wines was extensive. Will definitely be returning.
