Wow! What an experience second time here and WOW! Food beyond amazing William our server, the best! Thank you team Valette!
Although a bit noisy, the food was wonderful and the experience delightful. Don't be shy about the scallops en croute--it was an amazing dish. Perfection.
Reunion of lifelong friends
I would eat there every night if I could. Everything was amazing , from the food to the staff!! 5 stars!!
The service and dinner was impeccable. One of the most memorable dining experience that I’ve ever had. I highly recommend it.
My wife and I had an amazing time. It was our one year anniversary and we are so glad we choose Valette’s.
Our waitress and all the other waiters we awesome. So polite and friendly. We recommend the charcuterie and cheese for the appetizer. Very tasty. For dinner I had the charred wagyu New York steak and my wife had the Alaskan halibut. Both were to die for. But all the food I’m sure will not disappoint. Wanted to thank Dustin and Aaron for the spectacular experience. And a special thanks to Bob for stopping by our table to say hello. We will be back.
Book the reservation! This is one of our favorites in town. Creative dishes that have the freshest ingredients and are delicious. The service is outstanding and the ambiance is 👌 for a date night or a group outing. Can't wait to come back next trip!
My husband and I had the best anniversary dinner at Valette. We both tried the tasting menu and each of the five course was an experience of its own. My favorite part of the dinner was that they served us different course so we basically got to sample a good portion of the menu. To go with the meal I tried their Valette Pinot Noir and it did not disappoint. Fantastic!
If you are looking good place to visit with friends and talk, this is NOT the place. It was soooo noisy we were yelling across the table to communicate. The food all sounded very creative and interesting, but the items we ordered were way to over sauced and rich. There was no texture or acid to balance the food out. The only saving grace was my gin & tonic. We would never go again, nor recommend.
Waiter thought he couldn’t be wrong! Dirty martinis was off color and didn’t taste right. He said
D it was because of their special reg olives. No thanks
The restaurant is small. The walls are unfinished concrete and the floor is tiled. As a result, the noise level is quite high and makes conversation a bit difficult, especially for older customers. We had the ahi poke and and the local squash soup with saffron. Both were good but not exceptional. The soup could've used a little more punch in the flavor, it might have benefited from some more roasting and caramelizing of the squash. We both had the duck. It was perfectly cooked and was accompanied by interesting flavours. The dessert was very good. Wine by the glass was priced at $15 to $17 a glass, quality was good.
Great food & service
Great food, friendly service but horrifically noisy. It is almost impossible to have a conversation.
It was a fabulous dining experience. Everyone loved the food, service, ambiance and your father checking in with our table to be sure we were happy.
Keep up the excellent work.
This place is a jewel. Walking steps from the square, Valette offers an energetic dining experience. A very diverse menu and based on (2) visits - everything we've enjoyed has been fantastic. Fresh, creative, delicious and most of all memorable.
It was a great experience. We got the 5 course meal and really enjoyed it. The waiter/ wait staff were very friendly, and the owner came by our table and talked with us for about 10 minutes. We will go back even if its just for a drink and appatizer.
Peach Salida very good. Ahi to die for.
Main courses very good.
Whole experience positive, pleasant and favorably memorable.
My food here was very good but the waiter was atrocious. He was so rude and didn't even try to accommodate. My friend did not eat meat, and the only fish on the menu had meat in or on it. So when we inquired about making changes he was overtly impatient and rude and did not even attempt to talk to the chef to help. He said it would just be "fish on a plate" in such an unfriendly voice it was upsetting. So she ordered the only other thing possible, which was a faux falafel, which she did not like. Then he basically ignored us the rest of the time. It was our last night in Napa Valley and he ruined it.
Came to dinner for my 30th birthday with my husband and they took excellent care of us! Valette even wrote me a card which was such a fun touch! Great value for the tasting menu and a great experience!
Great food, my favorite Healdsburg restaurant, and that’s saying something.
Always amazing food and tremendous service at Healdsburg’s best restaurant. Thank you Dustin, Aaron, Will and Heather, and the entire Valette team.
It was our 40th anniversary, they left us a nice card. It was also a nice touch with candles on the dessert.
Great all around.
Food was Amazing. Loved the halibut and the scallops
Best restaurant in Healdsburg!
Valette gave us THE BEST dining experience I've ever had. My fiancé and I were celebrating our engagement so I booked a dinner reservation at Valette since it was strongly recommended. Let me say, I've dined at incredible restaurants all over the world... and I don't think any of them compare with Valette. There are obviously many great restaurants in Healdsburg but Valette is simply on another level! The service was incredible. We were congratulated at the door and given the best table in the house. The hosts, our incredible server, Will, and the owner Bob Valette himself, saw to it that we had an unforgettable time there. Every plate and drink brought out blew our minds. I can't wait to visit Valette again every time we are in town. Can't recommend it enough.
Such an amazing experience! My mother came to visit and requested a great dining experience and Valette did not disappoint. She was still talking about it when I called her a week later and told me that she would like to return every time she is in town to visit. The food was exceptional, friendly service and just an amazing experience.
This was another stellar experience at Valette in Healdsburg the food is great the ambience was great. having the Vallette family oversee your personal experience mean everything is just fantastic! Our waiter, named Will, was as much a highlight of our dinner at the food and wine. For more information about our experience go to @efficientchef on Twitter.
My wife and I did the 5 course tasting menu and the chef provided each of us a different dish. Each dish through dessert was exceptional.
Always a wonderful experience.wonderful food and service
Every plate we had was just fantastic! The house-made prosciutto, pasta, and pesto are not to be missed. Count yourself lucky if you get William as your server!
The “trust me 5 course tasting menu” is the way to go. Fabulous food with awesome service in a great atmosphere with super friendly and unpretentious servers. Two thumbs way up!
Carefully nurtured by the two brother owners (Chef Dustin Valette and Manger Aaron Garzini), regularly overseen by patriarch Robert Valette, and serviced by a cadre of well-prepared staff, Valette is a joyful place in which to enjoy a wonderful meal and a fine wine (not just California wines either!!!). I went there with my partner and our guests who were visiting from England. We enjoyed every single dish. The most exceptional dish was probably the scallop appetizer (a puff pastry variation on the Coquilles St Jacques theme) served with a flare. But all the appetizers at our table (Ahi poke, yellow squash & saffron soup, and the salad) were unique and seasoned to perfection. Ditto for the mains (the sweet potato falafel, the pancetta-encrusted halibut, the fennel pollen dusted albacore, and the coriander crusted duck breast). And the two share desserts that we shared (the "It's not a snickers bar" and the roasted strawberry and cream) rounded out the gastronomic trifecta. I'd return in a wine country minute. And to boot, it's a friendly and warm ambience, made so by the owners and staff.
Always an amazing meal with extraordinary service.
An amazing evening. Each dish was perfection and our waiters were wonderful. Seriously one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years.
Excellent service, atmosphere and most importantly, the quality of food. Tasting menu was a real treat and worth while
Outstanding food and service. Don’t miss the scallops. Traveled seven hour drive each way to celebrate my wife’s 75 birthday. Her choice after celebrating her birthday last year. Yes it is that good
We went with some out of town friends. The food and service was over the top. Amazing job Dustin!!
