Valenza Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I selected Valenza for my birthday dinner and was disappointed this time. I have had two very good meals at Valenza, but this third visit was not a charm. The sauteed mushrooms were soggy, not firm and crisp as in the past and a simple request to make a dish vegetarian was denied - even though we had ordered it before. It will be a while before I try Valenza again.
A truly memorable and stunning experience. I had the Linguini Nero- I must have mentioned to my wife ten times just how balanced and flavorful the meal was as we drove home that night. The black linguini was a lovely onyx color, perfectly cooked. The shrimp and dried tomatoes lived in perfect harmony in conjunction with the lush white wine sauce. It was incredible! I have a huge smile on my face with just the memory of that meal. What an impression it left on me! I am woefully inadequate to wax eloquent about this meal, and I wish desperately I was able to do just that; but all I can say is that I have never had a meal that gave me such joy while eating it than this one. THANK YOU, VALENZA.
Great Italian food in a nice neighborhood setting! We had the nightly special which was pan sautéed grouper over roasted red pepper risotto with chanterelle mushrooms- delicious! We also enjoyed the apple strudel for dessert, though it would have been a little better if warm. Service was good, the place was full and gets a little noisy once it's full, but still a very pleasant evening.
We enjoyed our meal and the service was very good. The pre-dinner cocktails were very good as well. The only real negative was that a family at a table nearby had a very young girl at the table and she frequently let loose a scream as loud as she could -- and it was quite loud indeed. Really a mood changer.
Valenza is always a great dinner choice, however, the parking issue is an ongoing problem that only seems to get worse and not better. The last 3-4 times I have been to Valenza or Vero Pizza there has been no parking available in the Valet parking area, or surrounding areas. This issue has become one that discourages patrons from coming to any of your restaurants. On top of this, the person blocking the entrance to the valet parking is not very nice or friendly about it. I have never had this issue with any other restaurant in Atlanta, whether it be in Buckhead, Midtown, West End, Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward. I feel like this issue really needs to be addressed
We came to hear Joe Grandsten and the menu looked great. The serivce was excellent, waiter knew lots about the food and his wine recommendtions were really great! The food missed the mark a bit, but it could have been my choices. It was well prepared, came to the table hot and looked great on the plate. The special salad with roasted squash with not really special but the pasta was better. I will go back, for sure!
Valenza always gets rave reviews from our guests. They have a variety of offerings to please everyone and the food is always prepared and served properly - service is good to excellent and the location is great! Also, they are open on Monday night and many of the other good restaurants in the area are not. Active area and valet parking is a plus.
Delightful, delicious, and reasonable.
We’d been here years ago and I don’t recall thinking it was as great as it was this weekend. It must have improved over time. But the environment is great, service was perfect, and the food was delicious.
We had mussels, grilled octopus, 3 pasta dishes and a pork dish. All six menu items were superb.
I woke up the next morning thinking about my dinner... That’s when you know it’s a winner.
I took an old friend to dinner at Valenza last weekend and it was fabulous. We ordered the duck and the ravioli and both were absolutely amazing. We sat outdoors on the patio and the ambiance was perfect for an autumn evening. The service was attentive and made for the perfect evening. This is a neighborhood gem.
I took my wife for her birthday. I coordinated this dinner via open table and input this occasion in the remarks area. Our server, Daniel was an arrogant, unprofessional, and rude. I mentioned to him the occasion. He barely acknowledged her birthday. Two other couples celebrated next to us. He got our order wrong and blamed the chef. The chef came out and asked me what happened. I responded “you tell me”. My wife’s food was cold. I will never go back and never recommend!
We sat on the patio. It was a lovely evening, however, there was some horrible machine making a very loud noise during dinner. I do not understand why the restaurant cannot fix this issue. We cannot return until this noise is eliminated. Total buzz kill! Excellent food and wine.
It's was such a treat to find this jewel nestled in the Brookhaven neighborhood. We loved everything about the experience; food, wine, atmosphere. Stephen, our"Flight Attendent" as he referred to himself jokingly, transplanted us immediately from Atlanta to Florence.
The chef is a genius and an artist. We have placed this fine restaurant at the top of our list!
