Outstanding food, service and ambiance. Sat outside on a perfect evening.
Food good except for too salty. Service slow and not very friendly. Overpriced for sure. Just ok. Not running back
Every dish was superb. Ambience and service were very nice. Reasonable and manageable wine list. Overall, would highly recommend.
Valenza is our go to, whether the two of us sitting at the bar on a Friday evening, entertaining friends or hosting a business dinner. Always excellent.
Had not been to Valenza for awhile. Some dinners tasted great but had some tough pieces of bacon. Halibut special was great. Especially enjoyed hearing Joe Gransden and his pianist playing.
With the patio open and the beautiful weather it was quite busy but since it is a date night for us, the time in between course gave us an opportunity to relax and chat! Always a great place to dine (and of course the service is exceptional)!!
We have been coming to Valencia for years. This was our first bad experience. The food took way to long to come out and my wife's ravioli was overcooked to the point that it fell apart when you touched it with a fork. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, they didnt charge us for the bad dish and gave us a free dessert. I hope this was just a one time thing because we love coming to this place.
Beautiful neighborhood setting, wonderful restaurant ambiance, wait staff very attentive even on a busy day like Mother’s Day! Menu questions answered thoroughly and our waitress was very patient and “menu knowledgeable”. Even tried to reserve one of the fish specials for the day, while others in our party still debated dinner choices!
Food delightfully presented , we were allowed to linger over our Charcuterie appetizer then order our meals.
Food was delish ~ we had scallops, the spaghetti and veal meatballs, the angel hair and the Orecchiette pasta dishes all fabulous! Finished with yummy chocolate pudding dessert!
We’ll be back!!!
Sitting on the patio was delightful. Wine was pleasant and food delivered quickly. Fava bean appetizer should have had more favas and been a more generous serving. Swordfish was outstanding, and scallops and orecchiette very tasty.
Rain squall made us move inside. Noise was horrible. There were only 3 of us, and we couldn’t converse. Didn’t finish dinner and rushed out w/o dessert.
Can the noise be diminished; we can’t go back until the problem is taken care of.
Fabulous food and service as always. I was introducing Valenza to 5 new people that night and they all loved it.
As always, excellent food, excellent service. Love this place.
So fortunate that the level Italian restaurant In Brookhaven. Valenza is always a favorite and it was a first for my friend. Never a Disappointment always superior
Clearly the best of the tree restaurants by far even with an ancient menu!
Great dinner and great service from Anthony! If you have gluten issues, do not be afraid to dine here...just ask for either of the Anthonys as your server...they get the whole issue and deliver dinner without a gluten hitch!
This used to be our favorite restaurant but it seems like it might be new management, and most likely a new chef.
We used to love their calamari but this time it was by far the worst calamari I've ever had. Some pieces were well cooked and tender but most of them were under cooked and chewy, plus it had lots of white fish mixed in (who does that?). The sauce was bland, like a watery mayonnaise.
Our favorite dish there has always been the scallops, but they have drastically changed it, much for the worse. These were not crisply seared but soggy and smothered in a heavy creamy sauce that left us feeling blah afterward.
We will not be back.
We love the ambiance, inside and out! The salumi e formaggi , spaghettini, and sea bass was so delightful as always! We request our favorite waiter Enzo each time we dine and we are never disappointed !
It says alot when you have staff that as been around for years...
It's hard for us not to give Valenza 5 stars. Everything they do makes it a great experience for us each time! Love this place!
Great food, service, ambiance. Will certainly go again.
We had the Pork Special and it was wonderful!!
Wish they would get rid of the arrogant waiter.
Upon seeing friends arrive at the same time, we asked to combine our groups and move to a larger table. It was a wonderful dinner, a beautiful night to sit outside and we had a lovely evening!
The BEST neighborhood gem! We love this place and always get exceptional service from Lena who greets you at the door to Anthony and all of the wait staff!
Three of us attended Easter brunch at Valenza. I think this is their second or third year having a brunch, and all in, they did a lovely job. We felt attended to and quite content in our booth next to the patio door which let in a lovely spring breeze along with some happy noise from patio diners. I really enjoyed my choices and I think others enjoyed theirs too. The menu included inexpensive but tasty and versatile staple items (eggs, polenta, arugula, etc) accented with more-expensive ingredients (shrimp, bacon, and now I’m blanking on others...). Given that brunch is rather new for them, I think they executed it beautifully! My initial thought was “I wish they had more selection” but I quickly changed my mind when our plates arrived.
It was Easter and there was a very small pre fixe menu. I have been to Valenza numerous times and always loved it, but we were very disappointed
One of our favorite local restaurants. Great food, great wait staff, good value, good wine.
Big thank you as we brought in 93 mother/law. Proof of #opentable partnership allowing special requests that get to Restauarant management. Awesome food, ambience and solid service. Thanks as always
Very pleasant dinner for my wife's 75 th birthday
We went there as a Party of Five for my wife's birthday. Daniel was our server. And we went to see Joe Gransden and Kenny Banks music.
We were close to the music which was awesome, and Daniel was a great server. Very personable, efficient and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the scallops, short rib stuffed pasta, and the chicken. Bread pudding with chocolate gelato for dessert was the perfect end to a Great meal. We will be back.
Good food and value for the $. Had the "Sunday night supper" and enjoyed a night out.
One of our favorite restaurants! The food is always excellent, service is very efficient, but rushed on the weekends.
Service was absolutely terrible our server was nowhere to be found half the time. It took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive then no one acknowledged how long it took. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone we’ve had better service and food at Taco Bell
We had a great time and the food, service and overall experience was fantastic! We are also looking forward to going to their other restaurant Arnette's Chop Shop.
The new chef if changing all the items on the menu and making replacements that are inferior. Chef Matt is dragging the restaurant down, it's very sad
We were running late for our time slot and when I called to let them know, Lena told us not to worry. Usually we are seated in Anthony(1)'s section but we were served by Anthony(2) who took the best care of us (also). Highly recommend Valenza especially if you are looking for great food and a wonderful atmosphere!
Terrific evening with dear friends....celebrating 30th anniversary and special birthday together. Our party of 6 booked online quickly and easily. Lovely back table allowed us to laugh, talk and have a wonderful evening. Attentive and friendly wait staff, prompt and courteous service, lovely food presentation and delicious meal all the way around. If you love Haven, the sister restaurant, you won't be disappointed in Valenza. The only negative ( and we had so much fun, I'm sure we contributed to the noise level there) was the proximity to the bus bar, where servers noisily procured silverware and plates/glasses...lots of activity back there could have been screened off maybe? But we were right by the kitchen door too....got to see and smell everything coming by! Just be forewarned if this is a pet peeve for you.
Excellent service and food. A nice find.
As usual the food and service are the standard that other restaurants should endeavor to emulate. The new spring changes to the menu were spot on. Had the gnudi which was delicious.
Great food, nice atmosphere and Anthony was an exceptional server.
This is the first time Valenza has failed to deliver an incredible meal. There were 2 in my party. We ordered mussels (fabulous), beet salad (wonderful), scallops with cremini mushrooms (great dish) BUT my companion ordered the special - lasagna - for his main course. There was little flavor, it was lukewarm and had no spice/no flavor...a real disappointment. We filled up sharing the other parts of our meal items.
Sorry, you just missed the mark big time with this dish. Tasted like it was made, refrigerated and barely cooked
We went for our anniversary and the service and food were amazing. The restaurant even gave us a delicious panna cotta with a candle on top in celebration of our special occasion. The ambiance is both hip and elegant. It’s a wonderful restaurant.
