Valenza Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Big fan of this place, it never disappoints. The food is genuinely good - I've yet to have something I don't like. Not a huge fan of the calamari, but the other apps are great - we always get the butternut squash ravioli as an appetizer, it's fantastic. Definitely recommend!
Food was great. Server was extremely rude. At first we thought he was very attentive and then we realized he was trying to rush us out. We had a reservation, so there was no reason for them to need our table. We also had ordered a bottle of wine and were trying to enjoy it. Our food came out very quickly, which is fine, except that it came out seconds after the bread that they brought to our table. The server put the check on the table only 30 minutes after we had walked through the door. Then, as we sat finishing the bottle of wine, he actually started wiping down the table as we were sitting there. He also kept filling up our glasses when they did not need to be filled, as if that would make us drink the wine faster. At one point I had a wine glass that was almost filled up to the brim. I'm sorry, but they should not have let us make the reservation if they didn't have room for us, and no one should expect you to be able to drink a bottle of wine between two people within 45 minutes. I would have liked to come back because the food was great, but I never wanted to be treated that rudely ever again.
Excellent food and service. The calamari and seafood appetizer was perfectly done with a very light, crispy crust. The butternut squash ravioli was rich and buttery. The rack of lamb special was the best I have ever had. And to top things off the white chocolate bread pudding was excellent, although try it with vanilla ice cream as opposed to the chocolate. Even the house white wines were exceptional. I will be back!
Waiter failed to mention a special they have on Tuesday nights with wine and lasagne. Didn't want to call him out in front of my friends but I don't like when restaurant runs a special but waitstaff doesn't mention for fear of the tab being lowered . Have eaten there multiple times and always thought Place was good value .
I selected Valenza for my birthday dinner and was disappointed this time. I have had two very good meals at Valenza, but this third visit was not a charm. The sauteed mushrooms were soggy, not firm and crisp as in the past and a simple request to make a dish vegetarian was denied - even though we had ordered it before. It will be a while before I try Valenza again.
A truly memorable and stunning experience. I had the Linguini Nero- I must have mentioned to my wife ten times just how balanced and flavorful the meal was as we drove home that night. The black linguini was a lovely onyx color, perfectly cooked. The shrimp and dried tomatoes lived in perfect harmony in conjunction with the lush white wine sauce. It was incredible! I have a huge smile on my face with just the memory of that meal. What an impression it left on me! I am woefully inadequate to wax eloquent about this meal, and I wish desperately I was able to do just that; but all I can say is that I have never had a meal that gave me such joy while eating it than this one. THANK YOU, VALENZA.
Great Italian food in a nice neighborhood setting! We had the nightly special which was pan sautéed grouper over roasted red pepper risotto with chanterelle mushrooms- delicious! We also enjoyed the apple strudel for dessert, though it would have been a little better if warm. Service was good, the place was full and gets a little noisy once it's full, but still a very pleasant evening.
We enjoyed our meal and the service was very good. The pre-dinner cocktails were very good as well. The only real negative was that a family at a table nearby had a very young girl at the table and she frequently let loose a scream as loud as she could -- and it was quite loud indeed. Really a mood changer.
