The service was excellent , the gnocchi was incredible and the dessert was just amazing. Amazing experience!

Great ambience and decor. Food was not prepared at the level we were expecting for this nice and expensive of an establishment. (Weak flavors, steak was overcooked, etc.) Piano player was a nice touch. Great vibe - mediocre and overpriced food.

Have you ever heard of something (or somewhere) that attempts to be fancy yet lacks sophistication. That would accurately describe our take on it. There was one hostess at the stand that was genuine. The very thin young lady at the coat check counter was weird, as is she was too good to check our coats. Honey relax, we were just at Atelier Joel Robuchon, which is the best of the best with top notch service. This place doesn't come close!
The waiter was nice, but seemed very unrelaxed. Nothing against him. I just wish that he could have executed more of a service element without any worry or inhibitions. We are all people. It's ok. I thicket hat the presentation of some of their dishes were tacky. There was way too much seasoning on the octopus. There was also this red sauce poured on my filet mignon. I feel that it should have been excluded or at least placed on the side. I wasn't in the mood to enjoy a $50+ cut drenched ins cause. It threw it off. I feel that a lot of their dishes are drenched in a way that makes it appear less elegant. The $28 tag on a Manhattan was exorbitant. Certainly wasn't the type of environment that I would expect that. If I were in Midtown and had to do a business lunch, then maybe I would return. Otherwise, I wouldn't consider it for another date night......

Went there at 7:00 pm on a Saturday evening. We know the Valbella in Meat Packing and had several good meals there in the past and wanted to try the mid-town location.

This was truly a grade "B" experience at a fairly high price point. (We hit nearly $250 for both of us with only one standard bar drink for both of us- no wine ordered.) Opened the menu to have crumbs fall out. Sent back one of the napkins for being dirty. Not a great start.

Starter of tuna tartar truly ordinary, as was my wife's shellfish starter of shrimp/crab/lobster.

Main course was a fish and a steak. Very nice but not extraordinary. Passed on dessert.

Nothing to hate but again, at this price point would have hoped for a bit more polish and attention to details, especially in an upscale mid-town restaurant.

Two different salads both beautifully presented & with complex flavors. Entree was Taglitelli with truffle sauce, our favorite. Nice glass of house Brunello.

Amazing service and the food was so scrumptious . Waiters were timely , I never found myself longing for anything . The hostess were very kind and courteous as well . My new favorite resturant .

My son lived in New York for several years and he and his colleagues compiled a listing of restaurants-this one was on the list. I was able to make quick online reservations. It was so much more than expected. My girl friend and I were together for a celebration and this place really made a great impact to the festivities. The wine list was fabulous, but we had champagne which was elegant. The food was outstanding. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and probably ne of the best I had. The service was also outstanding. I would go again and recommend it to others.
