The meals and drinks are good, but the overall quality does not reflect the price they charge here.
Excelente en todo no le cambio nada grata experiencia en denver
Go there enjoy Phil Long while you have some drinks and appetizers then stay for dinner. It will be a very memorable and enjoyable evening
Food was subpar for the price. Location was good.
Great service. Kobe steak awesome!
I think this place is ideal for a nice drunken après-ski binge. Showing up at 7 PM for dinner was not a great idea especially when we got seated at the bar where the après-ski drinking had lingered a little beyond the normal après-ski time. Server was nice enough to recognize and tried to address but it seemed that the party was led by the owner so he had to tread carefully. Once we realized that reseating was not an option, we opted to search out other dinner options. The server was also nice enough not to charge us for the drinks we ordered and drank hoping the party would end. Therefore, I have no clue how the food is or anything else.
Great time at Apres ski, the best in the area. Excellent food and awesome music.
The food was mediocre and the service was terrible. After the wine came and our orders were taken the staff disappeared. We had to finally get the bartender to get someone to give us our check. The place was empty too.
There are plenty of other dining options in this price range.
Overall, it was a nice night out - it was our last night at Vail so I wanted to go somewhere special. The food and drinks were good, but I was a bit disappointed that my 15 year old son sitting at the end of our high top table kept getting bumped into by passersby and waiters...which is not a big deal if at a bar/hangout style restaurant, but this is a higher-priced, nicer venue. The restaurant was also louder than you'd expect. But, our personable server was very attentive and helpful, and everyone enjoyed their meals, which were all plentiful portion sizes.
Everyone's meal in our party was outstanding. Flawless service and great food. My favorite restaurant in Vail.
Always great food and a great time.
Good steak. It was significantly overpriced, but it's what I expect in Vail.
Good. It was off-season, so the atmosphere was a little weird. Steaks and Sunday football and there was live music for a while? The salad was mediocre, but the slab of cow was amazing quality and prepared perfectly. It wasn't cheap, but it was delish.
I've been here several times. Something has gone badly wrong here. Steaks were 10-15 dollars more than say Ruth chris. Over $55 for a steak. I had an 8oz filet that was so tough and chewy I couldn't eat it. It should be impossible to screw up a filet... even though it was properly cooked. Our server didn't know much.
According to the staff at Vail Chop House, there is a DJ Friday and Saturday nights in the bar and main dining area. If you are looking for an energetic, party crowd this would be a fun place to go. The food was great and our service was excellent.
The oysters weren't fresh and the ramekin of ketchup had a skin on it. The meat was cooked properly. But you're not there to dine. The staff is there to bang you out and turnover your table.
My husband had a great birthday celebration, great music and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back.
Magician was amazing!!!
Food was great!!
We had a great time! The food and service was excellent.
Enjoyable evening meal with family members. Waitress was exceptional in how she took our drinks and food orders. We thought the salads were really good. The flat iron steak was out-standing in flavor and tenderness. The pork szchop was thick and juicey. It was a little noisey for table conversation. I thought the wine and bar drinks were pricey but maybe that's the norm for Vail.
Second time here. The food was good. The server sucked bad. 25 min before we got drinks!!!!! No apology. Then the dummy spilled half my wine next to the glass, again just an "oopsy"... no refill nor apology. Its unfortunate but i dont want to go back. A manager just walked by but didn't acknowledge the table either.
Great music, outstanding service & a wonderful meal.
We sat outside to enjoy the entertainment and view and both were great. The owner sings and plays guitar. My food was delicious (trout). My husband's was ok (chicken). The service was a bit lacking and very slow, but we had no where to be, so not a big deal for us. We thought it was an upscale restaurant and chose it to celebrate a wedding anniversary, but it is just a regular restaurant. No need to dress up. Shorts and flipflops were abundant. Would recommend it to those in Vail that want a relaxed environment with a great view.
We usually eat here every time we are in Vail. Good food, good service and usually quiet enough to have a conversation.
Made reservations for a party of two for 4/17/2017 through Open Table, and received a confirmation. When we went to the restaurant, we were informed that it was closed for a private party.
Honestly, we expected so much more. For the price, and the location, we expected a good steak. The cut was terrible, and tasteless, and after two tries they still couldn't tell medium rare from medium well. It's so disappointing to look forward to a good steak, and get a flavorless overdone mess.
Not good on many fronts. Bad food, lousy atmosphere, way overpriced.
Excessively expensive (even by Vail standards) for marginal food quality. Paying for location near the gondala. Good spot just for drinks. Wait staff are friendly.
Our service was pleasant but very slow. Steaks were decidedly overpriced, so we ordered seafood (trout), which was at best mediocre. It was served with very greasy brussel sprouts and a few pieces of lump crab (misleadingly advertised on menu as "colossal crab"). The four piece shrimp cocktail at $19 was overpriced and just average.
After making advanced reservations that required a credit card, we were seated in a bar area at a high table, not in the dining room. If vail chop house can't seat you in dining room, they shouldn't tell you that you have a reservation. Food was just ok.
