The music and entertainment often goes over and do it’s crazy loud around 6pm. Things settle closer to 645:7pm.
Food and service is good but the crowd can be intense over bearing. Not a place for a romantic or chilled evening. Hyped post skiing crowd

Meal was great, drinks were great. First time I’ve ever gone back for seconds of a dish with brussel sprouts. Will definitely return next time I’m in Vail!

Waited for ever (15 minutes) just to get water. Staff forgot to put in my beer order. It took nearly 30 minutes to get to the table. Artichoke dip was very dry. Green beans were undercooked and tasteless. Kids running out of control.

Service was horrible, steaks were totally sub par and overall way overpriced for the value received. We have come here over the years and it was great. Never going back.

Obviously a great place for a drink and entertainment after skiing. But not a place for a quiet romantic evening.

We dined there on Christmas for dinner. The steak was exceptional, our server was incredible, and the Colts game was on! We had a perfect Christmas evening at Vail Chop House. Thank you!!

I ordered prime rib. The girl brought out a porterhouse . She has no idea of the differences of cuts of steaks. Perhaps they should educate their waitresses. The steak was very good however.

While our server, Griffin, was great the rest of the dining experience was one of the worst ever. The cous cous with the sea bass was overdone and the bok choy was hard and bitter. My husband has the chicken and said it was just OK. The menu was very limited and offerings were unimpressive. We love the Chophouse in downtown Denver and were hoping for a similar dining experience to celebrate our anniversary. When making the reservation, I noted it was our anniversary and Griffin gave us his best wishes. For 29 years, I was hoping for a celebratory dessert...eh...nothing. We will continue to go back to the one in Denver but the Vail restaurant has seen the last of us. Bleah....never again.

I got the Chilean sea bass and wasn’t my favorite. Not sure if they had an off night or just the flavors weren’t my cup of tea. Fish was a little rubbery to me as well. Didn’t finish it.

Food and service were excellent (filet cooked near perfection and chicken dish very moist and tasty, and waiter was friendly). Disappointed that there was no live music but guess it was because of being off-season (even though one website said there would be music on October 13th - the evening we went).

Had a terrible experience. Everything reminded me of bad bar food, which is so far from what I expected to be a nice “chophouse”. For one of our appetizers, we ordered the shrimp cocktail which 1) was extremely underwhelming in portion size and 2) was very suspect because it had a slimy texture and smell. We sent it back. However, it still appeared on our check and was only removed after we flagged it. The least they could have done was comp our other appetizer. I also ordered a salad with grilled chicken as my main entree that was overpriced and disappointing. The extra charge for a tiny piece of chicken was hard to believe. Finally, despite the restaurant not being full, we were placed right up against a large obnoxious table that was super loud. Would highly recommend against coming here unless you want to pay a lot of money for a mediocre sports bar experience.

Wonderful experience. The only thing that I would like to have different, is that the lighting was a little too bright. If they could turn down the lights after the sun goes down, it would have made the experience perfect.

Way overpriced and food was just okay. Restaurant is not suitable for families - tables too close to the bar and too many middle aged drunks during happy hour crowding the space. Was a miserable dining experience. Noise level was excessive - our party could not have any conversation. Service was slow. Not recommended for dining experience - seems more suitable for happy hour spot.

The food and entertainment here are always good. I chose this place for a birthday dinner. I wish they would be consistent with their reservation system. I wanted to attend the entertainment during happy hour and transition that into dinner. Two months earlier I asked this question. I was told the happy hour entertainment was first come first serve. So we came even earlier when no one was seated. I was then told that I had to have reservations! They then said they were "fully booked all night". I was not worried about that because I had 7:30 reservations. We left, missed the entertainment, and arrived at 7:30 to eat outside. We were the ONLY ones for 2 hours. Clearly they were not fully booked. Check to be sure you are not mislead about your reservations.
