Food was good and large servings but not good enough for going back. Outstanding service! Drinks were way overpriced.
Excellent all the way around
The food never fails at Vail Chophouse. We always enjoy out meals here. Lobster Mac was delicious. We almost always start with either the spinach dip or the poutine. Both are winners. Can’t go wrong with the pear and burrata salad or the filet. Veuve is a deal. The ambiance is usually energetic but this was especially so with some families around us. We didn’t care for that this time but generally is not a big issue. VC also offers outdoor seating and in tents for winter.
The food was excellent, the ambience was a bit lacking. The pricing as expected in Vail was outrageous with a standard Ribeye cost and $70.
Seafood was served to us frozen
We expected a little more from the food with the price we paid. Two of us ordered medium rare filets and they came out medium well. The lobster Mac and cheese tasted a little bland. Our waitress was great and the service was awesome. I just expected a little more being in Vail
The host was great and got our drinks and salad going as the waiter was backed up. The drinks were very yummy and the soup and salad were great too. My son and husband had the filet mignon, they were dry and cold. We asked for a sauce which never came. My trout was good once I put lemon and salt on it for flavor. It was my son's 16th birthday which was only acknowledged by the host. The waiter was a total dud.
Had the cheese board and cocktails to start and should have did with that. Asked for 2 medium rare steak and got well done and medium. Server said they were medium rare... so, there you have it. They did taste good despite the servers inability to tell the difference...🙄
Extremely disappointing. We spent $450 for three people on a meal that was lower quality than Longhorn Steakhouse. Would avoid this restaurant like the plague and find a better place for the money. Disappointing.
Great food lousy atmosphere
Good food, but pricey. Ambiance is just aweful
Good food, but more of a sports bar environment with steakhouse food and prices. Overpriced for what it is.
We waited over an hour for our steaks and for the price the quality wasn’t great. The manager compensated our drinks for the long wait which was great.
Waiter was awful.
It was the first time to Vail. When you have over three dollar signs, you expect a different experience. For the price of the food, the ambience was way too casual and looked like a diner? If I had known, I would have booked somewhere much nicer to celebrate my husband's 60th anniversary. My recommendation - bring the magic. Vail is magical.
The ambiance, attentionand timing are good. The food was excellent
Great time and food
The service was super good. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Food and drinks were great.
The Magician was fantastic!!! Our group loved the food too!
Food was amazing but it is like sitting in a bar, not a $60 a person dining experience.
Went for my boyfriends birthday and felt overdressed.
Service was outstanding. The food was out of this world. However, our reservations were at 6:00 and the atmosphere was almost like a fraternity party. This is a high priced steak house that should separate the happy hour clowns from those looking to have a nice fine dining dinner and be able to speak to each other. The servers were very apologetic but it’s not their place. I’d say 30 minutes went by with it very hard to talk. It’s an easy fix. Management needs to chose what it wants to be. Eliminate the happy hour shenanigans or make dinner guests aware of it well in advance. I still recommend.
This restaurant was great. The waitress was excellent. The food was great . The owner stopped by and took a shot wit us for my wifes birthday . Great experience would definitely recommend
Good food. Sports bar vibe. View of the gondola.
The service and food was great!!! Highly recommended but be prepared for some noise from the live music/entertainment side while eating.
Great restaurant. Just bring your checkbook.
The food was espectacular!
The magic guy made the experience excellent
The Chilean Sea Bass was my reason for choosing Vail Chophouse
The menu description was not fully clear to my food knowledge
The Dish was EXCELLENT and PERFECTLY COOKED meltred in my mouth.
Carly was our server. She was delightful and fantastic.
Great food, great service. Recommend for late dinners dimming the lights and turning on some good rat pack music. The bright lights weren’t what we expected. Great service though!
Many orders were under cooked and had to be sent back, disappointed with the items when they were brought back still undercooked
Excellent steak and seafood. Great ambiance and service. One of my favorite places to eat in Vail.
They had us dining in a heated tent outside due to an indoor event. This would have been ok except that we were literally eating on uncovered picnic tables. For a $450 dinner I would expect that they could have at least laid down table cloths.
We ate here on Christmas Day. The food was fabulous and our servers were very attentive. The cocktails were great. We had the filet the buttermilk chicken and two salads. They’re at 25% capacity right now so it was really quiet. It’s a great location right at the base of the mountain in Lionshead village. We plan to go back.
Outstanding food and service. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended!!
Good food. The service was just ok. I think the waitress forgot about us when it was time to check out. WE waited over 10 minutes for the bill once we asked. I do recommend the food.
Food was perfect! Service was impeccable! Even though they were only at limited seating, our waitress never made us feel rushed like other establishments. She even reminded us of the Christmas star being out and urged us to go and see it before we ordered. The entire staff was awesome. We’ve been multiple times and the chophouse never disappoints!
Our dinner at Vail Chophouse was great! Cocktails, soup, salads, fried chicken and mountain trout - all were outstanding. The service couldn't have been better, and even with 7 of us, we could easily hear each other talk.
We came to Vail on a girls trip and we ate at Vail Chop House the last night of our vacay to celebrate. Wow! This was the best meal of our entire trip! We each had the filet. It was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Cooked to perfection. Our sides were Asparagus, truffle fries, whipped potatoes and brusselsprouts. All were excellent!! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great steak.
Phil, the singer was very nice to my children. Gave them money for the candy store.
