   This restaurant is a gem in Murphys, a wine-lovers' destination in the Sierra foothills. We had a wonderful meal of bacon-wrapped dates, fried olives with anchovies, and the best Cioppino we've ever had -- along with great bread. We loved the Renner Syrah, from a local winery. The quality was competitive with wines from the Napa and Sonoma valleys, and the price was about 40% less! We ate here once before in 2010, and the quality is the same.

   Disappointing. Unfortunately Vs quality continues to go downhill. We have been going to Vs 4 - 6 times a year for the last thirteen years. Never again. We made reservations well in advance, for early in the evening as in the past the food quality decreases as the evening goes on, due to the kitchen being overloaded. Was greeted by a surly guy that complained he was the busboy, waiter, maitre'd and comedian for the night. Should have left then and there. Salads were good, albeit tiny. Wifes entre was so cold that she sent it back. My potatoes and carrots were cold, continued eating the entree until the waiter returned. He comes back with the wifes entree, and I point out that my potatoes and carrots were cold, he responds that her food was microwaved and now warm, and walks away. We finish up, and she requests the left-overs be placed in a doggy bag to take home. Waiter hands us a bill for $175 for the two of us, says goodnight and we need the table. So we left, and of course it was without the doggy bag as the waiter never brought it out. Never again.

   If you ever want to test a restaurant, go there late on a Sunday evening. You know when you may be one of the last couples seated. That is when you’ll know for certain whether they really care about the quality of your dining experience. I’m pleased to say V Restaurant passed with flying colors! Freshly made food, attentive service and honest concern for me as a dinner. Well done!

   This is our favorite restaurant in Murphys! The food is consistently excellent, the service friendly and efficient and the menu choices amazing! A shout out to Matthew, our server and to Scott who makes one terrific Cosmopolitan! Thanks to all at V Restaurant for continuing to make this our go to dining spot. We recommended it to newcomers to Murphys.

   The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the food was good. However, I don’t think it was worth the price. The vegetables were the best part of the meal.

   This place was amazing! The food waa fabulous and so was the service! I'm definitely going to be eating at this place every time we go and pick up our wine!

   We were here on the evening of the Day of the Dead celebration in Murphys. We had a lovely dinner. Our server was friendly, and when they made a little mistake on one order, they discovered it themselves very quickly and made it right, even though we would have just let it go.

    We were there years ago and had a repeat extraordinary meal, again. Cocktails are so innovative and tasty. My only sad part of the meal was the limited dessert options. But the hostess gave us chocolate covered almonds that were incredibly good so I left with the sweet tooth satiated. I want to go back, again soon
