We love UVA! The food is AMAZING!
I love Uva. One of the only places we make a reservation for in NY
Outstanding, as always!!
The gnocchis are e best thing and the pear salad is always a refreshing choice.
Food was very good. Service was not as good as it had been in the past. The fact that we were seated in a corner did not bother me, but evidently as a table for 2, we did not get the level of attention that I have come to expect in the fine restaurant. I probably relate that to the fact that the restaurant was quite busy with large tables. I certainly will return as I find this continues to be a wonderful restaurant.
Uva offered a charming dining experience that felt like something out of Italy. Thoroughly enjoyable and would always recommend to friends!
This is my second time eating there. UVA was packed on a Monday night, clearly they are on top of their game. It is very good food at a very competitive price relative to manhattan prices. The service is excellent. Water always filled, our server always made sure we had serving utensils so we could share some of our food. The prosciutto app was excellent as were the veal, meat balls in red sauce. We loved the pasta dishes and our desert which was a delicious almond tart with ice cream. I highly recommend this place, the vibe is also fun.
Uva is great every time. Service is just as good as the food and the food is GREAT.
Good menu and atmosphere at a reasonable price
Wonderful dinner! Highly recommend the Ricotta Bruschetta & Gnocchi! We sat outside on the patio, great environment!
The service was professional and attentive and the food was delicious.
We made a reservation through Opentable for 7 PM and were finally seated at 7:40 Pm. It’s completely unacceptable to reserve a table and have to wait 40 minutes. There was little communication from the host and hostess- both were very unapologetic and didn’t acknowledge our long wait time. I was very disappointed and upset with my experience waiting for the table so it really ruined my meal. The table service was OK, food was so so- there are plenty of better Italian restaurants in Manhattan. I won’t be returning to Uva.
Went for daughter's 30th birthday and it was disappointing. Food was pretty good, nothing special. However, our party of 4 was put downstairs (wine cellar environment) along with 2 large parties of 12 or more. We could hardly hear ourselves talk, nevermind hearing the person sitting across the table. It was only a Wednesday night and the place was deafening. I had asked for a nice table and told them it was a special event, so why would they put us in the corner of the cellar along with large, loud parties? Service was good but between the noise and the just okay food, we would not return.
Cute ambiance that mimics a house and pretty good food but not all pasta is fresh and that's okay but know that they're not fresh. The bartender was pretentious, the vodka they used on a bloody mary was a very low quality vodka for a place like this. Overall, it was good but wouldn't be making a second reservation any time soon.
Excelent food and service. I recommend to reserve a table in advance
Really great pole ya and eggplant parm. The seating the back is super cute!
Wonderful dinner as always! We enjoyed everything from the delicious appetizers to our superb dinner! UVA is one of our favorite restaurant’s! Always Happy here!
My husband and I were looking for a late dining option and UVA was an alternative, we were glad we tried this restaurant, the food , the ambiance, the service are superb and they serve dinner until 2am!!! Fantastic option for late dinner!
The food was just so delicious and the staff were so courteous the entire time! A very romantic place to go to and perfect for date night.
Simply a warm, cozy place with nice employees and customers. Always comfortable level of noise, making conversations easy to hold. I have been back 4 or 5 times, though there are so many places I haven't yet been to. I like trying new places, but sometimes when you just want to go without surprise, we always know the consistency of Uva will be there.
Hi I have a reservation for 2 at 1PM.
Hostess: do you have a name!?!?
Nobody:
Literally hostess: Do you have a name??
Never disappoints! Always amazing service and high food quality
Nice atmosphere, great service and delicious food. We didn’t have the best table location that’s the only negative. It was great and we will be back
Had dinner at Uva with my family from out of town after they requested a “meal we can only get in New York”. The food at Uva is nothing short of special, and the wine list is extensive and well priced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Italian.
The food was mediocre and the restaurant too crowded and noisy to enjoy our friends' company. The service was terrific, though.
No gluten free pasta in 2020??? Won’t be going back.
Awesome atmosphere. Great food. Lively. Romantic. And much more
Delicious!
This is a solid UES brunch spot and it has a nice comfortable feel to it.
Amazing polenta. Can’t wait to return. Only wish their wine list included Vermintinos.
Unfortunately, the food was terrible. I got the Tortellini Special and it was not good. It had a meatball inside that was dry and tasteless, the mushroom sauce was bland and gross. We also ordered the fingerling beet gnocchis and they were totally tasteless... total disappointment . We’ve had better past from the corner deli.
Fantastic home made food! Ambiance lovely, service exceptional! Great date night restaurant!
a little disappointed with our Saturday dinner:(.
Our reservation was at 6pm and our waiter Angel screwed up both drink and food order! My husband ordered an old fashioned and a bottle of wine.. the wine came but the drink NEVER CAME!! we asked the waiter few times about it and he said it was coming but it never did so we just told him to forget about it.
One of the appetizers never came and they brought our entrees instead but we had to send them back because we wanted our appetizer.. it came finally and it was good.. but when entrees arrived we could tell that my ravioli was sitting under the light for a while so it was not freshly made....
Angel apologized for screwing it up.. it really sucks as we live in the neighborhood and I used to like this place.. it was our date night and the guy managed to screw up everything and it was not even busy at 6pm!!! They gave us a free glass of wine.. I told the manager/ owner but he didn’t seem to care as he was busy seating people:(.... a little upset with this as we liked this place and the food is always good and the ambience is nice but I don’t think we will come back:((.
Great meal, great service! The ricotta bruschetta and ricotta gnocchi were phenomenal. Celebrated my birthday here with my boyfriend and it was perfect! Highly recommend.
Food is good. We waited 20 minutes before getting seated for our reservation. Not the place to go if you want to have a quiet conversation. Very noisy but high energy. Nose could improve with better acoustics.
Excellent meal, so fresh and delicious with sophisticated flavors. Would definitely go back
Uva's food and service are very good. However, the tables are too close together and the noise level is unbearable. My friend was hit in the head accidentally by another patron who was putting on her coat. The tables are much too close together.
Great ambiance, didn't hear about cozy basement room so we will try that next time. Food was good but I loved the decor, candles in the brick walls. cozy!
Excellent food and service will return. Best Italian in the Upper East Side nay all of Manhattan?!
We had dinner at UVA and loved it. The service and food was spectacular. It was crowded but it didn’t affect us at all. We were seated on time. We will definitely go back.
