a little disappointed with our Saturday dinner:(.
Our reservation was at 6pm and our waiter Angel screwed up both drink and food order! My husband ordered an old fashioned and a bottle of wine.. the wine came but the drink NEVER CAME!! we asked the waiter few times about it and he said it was coming but it never did so we just told him to forget about it.
One of the appetizers never came and they brought our entrees instead but we had to send them back because we wanted our appetizer.. it came finally and it was good.. but when entrees arrived we could tell that my ravioli was sitting under the light for a while so it was not freshly made....
Angel apologized for screwing it up.. it really sucks as we live in the neighborhood and I used to like this place.. it was our date night and the guy managed to screw up everything and it was not even busy at 6pm!!! They gave us a free glass of wine.. I told the manager/ owner but he didn’t seem to care as he was busy seating people:(.... a little upset with this as we liked this place and the food is always good and the ambience is nice but I don’t think we will come back:((.
Great meal, great service! The ricotta bruschetta and ricotta gnocchi were phenomenal. Celebrated my birthday here with my boyfriend and it was perfect! Highly recommend.
Food is good. We waited 20 minutes before getting seated for our reservation. Not the place to go if you want to have a quiet conversation. Very noisy but high energy. Nose could improve with better acoustics.
Excellent meal, so fresh and delicious with sophisticated flavors. Would definitely go back
Uva's food and service are very good. However, the tables are too close together and the noise level is unbearable. My friend was hit in the head accidentally by another patron who was putting on her coat. The tables are much too close together.
Great ambiance, didn't hear about cozy basement room so we will try that next time. Food was good but I loved the decor, candles in the brick walls. cozy!
Excellent food and service will return. Best Italian in the Upper East Side nay all of Manhattan?!
We had dinner at UVA and loved it. The service and food was spectacular. It was crowded but it didn’t affect us at all. We were seated on time. We will definitely go back.
Went for first time for brunch, felt that the hostess and staff were less than friendly and did not make it an enjoyable experience. Food was OK, not a great spot for brunch. I would have been interested in trying for dinner but will not because staff wasn’t great. No time for poor service in 2020.
We came to celebrate a birthday while on a weekend getaway. Ambience was wonderful, service was wonderful most of our food was wonderful but we had to send back the fish dish because it was not fresh and tasted fishy. The waitress was very apologetic and immediately asked if he wanted to order another meal. I would recommend this to restaurant to friends.
Food was okay - Nothing special. The salad was a little tired. The pasta was a little overcooked.
Good ambiance and decor.
This is one of my favorite spots! Food is delicious, service amazing and you can’t beat the ambiance.
The eggplant rottoni and chicken with artichokes were outstanding. However, my wife's fillet of sole was dry and not tender. A big disappointment. The service was outstanding.
Exceptional experience as always. Great date night!
We loved our meals, the vibe of the place is friendly and fun. Our server was from Puglia Italy, she made excellent wine and food recommendations. The prices were good based on the quality of the food. Overall a great choice for a family meal or meals with friends. We will definitely head there again.
Uva never disappoints. The food, drinks, ambience is great every single time i have been there. And i come with different guests who all say the same thing! They love Uva
It’s a cute place with decent Italian food. One of the better options in UES.
Great neighborhood joint. Good value and quality.
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend the gnocchi di ricotta and robiola cheese and black truffle. Everything on the menu is top notch.
This was my second time to Uva. It was wonderful! Our waitress was amazing! The food was fantastic. Uva will continue to be a spot I visit when I am in NYC. Best Italian!! Get the gnocchi!
Amazing food! The black truffle pasta is an absolute must try!
Excellent local Italian at reasonable prices compared with all the UES white table cloth Italian restaurants.
Very lively & busy, which sometimes makes it hard for the servers to keep up & be attentive to every table.
Good menu & wine choices.
Love it here - the food is consistently good and the atmosphere is very cozy with a downtown vibe. It can be tough to get a reservation here so very glad it’s on Open Table!
An absolute favorite, we’ve returned to this restaurant many times! Highly recommend the fried artichoke appetizer and the ricotta truffle honey bruschetta. Desserts are also outstanding, as is the ambiance.
The food is soooo good. Everything my bf and I got was delicious
Loved the food and the service. Only thing is it is kinda loud but it wouldn’t stop me from coming back over and over.
Food was very good, excellent service
Great Italian restaurant on UES. Found it years ago and always love going back. Great date night spot.
In a wasteland of generic and merely serviceable restaurants in the UES, Uva is the only restaurant that I make a point to revisit (after living in UES for 3 years and since moved). The noise level can be very loud in the main portion of the restaurant, but the back garden is perfect with a lovely atmosphere during the winter and warmer months.
The staff is very attentive and friendly. Both of our pastas were delicious and high quality.
Took about 30 min to get seated on a Wednesday night at 8. What’s the point of a reservation?
Food was great, as expected.
Solid meal. Didn’t care to be rushed like we were.
This was my second time at Uva. The server was charming, friendly and helpful. Lovely ambiance.
This place is great for a cute little brunch!! Food was great, drinks were good, service was very welcoming and ambiance was rustic and homey!
Over-crowed, service pushing you to speed up so they can turn over tabkes. Food was luke warm at best
Favorite Italian restaurant in the city it can’t be beat - get the polenta with fresh shaved truffles and the ricotta gnocchi both will literally change your life.
The hostess could be a little more welcoming and friendly.
Food an ambiance were excellent!
Excellent food and ambiance. Great neighborhood spot.
