Uva Ratings and Reviews
Very accommodating. Great service. One room with music/singer (which was nice) and a large party so it was noisy. Appys were very good - shrimp & beets with goat cheese, and stuffed calimari with crab (special). Halibut was tasty but a bit over cooked. Our waiter was excellent and attentive.
while the food was very good the noise level was overwhelming making conversation very difficult
Aside from being a very busy Saturday night with noise levels to match the restaurant featured a singer during dinner whose volume was uncomfortably loud .we asked several times for the volume to be lowered to no avail .we will not be back when the singer is there
Good food & service, but the noise level is deafening!! I have been to Uva several times before with the same compliant. Will not be returning!!! Singer was good, but much to loud for a dining atmosphere! And seriously how many times in 2.5 hous is it necessary to sing Happy Birthday!
First time dining at Uva. Pretty restaurant; good food and service overall but had a few issues with waiter and a couple of the entrees. It was a Saturday night, it was packed and we were a party of 6, so some issues are to be expected. Waiter insisted on including the pasta with the frutti di mare, even though our nephew said he wanted them to hold the pasta. It came with scallops in it that weren't included on the menu description, and the amount of seafood was sparse (especially for the price). When it was pointed out to the waiter as a disappointment, the waiter said, "but the pasta was good, eh?" No olive oil or butter served with the bread; a strange orange sauce (not tomato) on a plate instead. The other entrees were quite good. I had scampi over linguine and our niece's fish/special entree was good. Of the three appetizers, eggplant rollatini was especially tasty, although we'd never been told we couldn't place our appetizer order until our entire order was ready to go in (which took a while for six people, including two kids). We prefer not to go out on Saturday nights because of the crowds, noise, and service, so might give this another shot during the week. Although it's BYO, it's on the pricey side.
We always enjoy Uva...from the always pleasant welcome from the hostess (who's name we should know by now and will ask next visit), to the friendly service (we know Fabrisio and Walter... they are wonderful) to the consistently delicious food. We've celebrated Birthdays, Anniversaries, and just a night our and have never been disappointed. We'll be introducing friends to Uva for lunch on 11/14 and look forward to the experience!
We moved to the area 3 years ago and kept saying we have to try Uva. It was Amazing!!!
Nice live entertainment, delicious Mista salad and my shrimp scampi was just as good. BYOB and yummy dessert selections as well. We had a great time, fabulous food, and wonderful service! Thanks! We will be back again soon.
A wonderful Italian BYOB with great menu selections and an exceptional wait staff. We always have a delicious meal in the beautiful ambiance of this restaurant. We return again and again for lunch or dinner, and special occasions. It is upscale but not too expensive for some very tasty dishes. The wait staff is very friendly, and attentive. Always a pleasure to dine at Uva in Richboro, PA.
Exceptional food and very nice atmosphere! The staff was accommodating to our needs and specific table request. They also have a special 4 course menu from Sunday-Thursday that is a great value! Would definitely recommend, as this is one of my favorite new restaurants!
I love Uva. The staff are attentive and friendly. It's a BYOB. On some weekends they have live music. Outside seating too. The decor is contemporary and very well done. We happened to eat on a Tuesday night. They offer a 4 course meal for $21 per person. ( every night but Fri. & Sat.) Monday's they are closed. It was so good. Portions were small but excellent. We did not leave hungry.
Very lovely Italian restaurant.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very cozy. Dressy casual. Perfect for date night or dinner with friends and family.
Our waiter seemed over booked and wasn't very attentive but our bus girl was on her game and made up for it.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves good Italian cuisine.
Our waiter Mark was one of the best waiters I've ever had and provided knowledgeable and very attentive service. We were a party of five and we were there to celebrate a birthday for one of our guests. Mark really made it a special experience. He explained everything on the menu including house specialties and things that were made in-house. The food was excellent and the lunch portions were enough to satisfy without coming away feeling stuffed. We will go back again and always ask for Mark. He is a seasoned professional and made the meal "special".
I have been to Uva many times and always enjoyed my dinner, usually Eggplant Parmesean, however my last experience was very disappointing for myself & my 3 dining companions. Service was very slow, but acceptable. Requests for bread, ice etc. were ignored. Eggplant dinner was fair. Dining companions reported chicken & salmon very dry. Ravioli & calamari were very good. Will not be returning any time soon
This has been the 3rd time dining here at uva,and i must say it is one of my top 3 restaurants i go to now , the service is splendid, the atmosphere is beautiful and romantic, the food is top shelve authentic Italian, the owners are awesome i absolutely love them,so nice to finally have a local restaurant that has top notch authentic taste. I dine out weekly all over me and my wife we are both from a European background and is hard to find good tasting food dining out these days. You will not be disappointed . Thankyou cant wait to come again.
Delicious and creative is what I would use to describe the cuisine. The atmosphere is lively and friendly. It is a great place to celebrate a special occasion as well as spend time with friends. The service is fantastic and friendly. In a word, one of my favorite restaurants.
The food was delicious! The server came quickly but then it took forever to get the bill and then took forever to get the bill back from server, actually some one else took our payment other than the server. If it wasn't for the time issue, it would have been a lot more enjoyable.
