   This was a HUGE disappointment! We had high hopes and were let down in every respect! The good wasn't terrible but the entire experience was so unpleasant. The place was far from full but our waitress kept disappearing, our food took forever to get to us despite that we saw it sitting on the counter under the heat lamp waiting for us.... and anything we asked for took forever or never came! We wouldn't waste our time or money to go back!

   Terrible, terrible service and the place was virtually empty for a Saturday brunch. All that and the food was bland. Just don't go.

   In the Times Square / Port Authority neighborhood there are not many restaurants that offer a similar dining experience as URBO Kitchens. Most of the other options are chain based restaurants catering to families. URBO Kitchen provides a more sophisticated dining atmosphere with a menu that has something for everyone, be it salads, burgers, sushi, pasta or a full dinner, all served in a beautifully created space full of wood, a curved staircase and an open kitchen.

   Great place to get a quick bite either before or after the theater. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

   I was in Dowtown Manhattan and Urbo was located a block from my hotel. They a have great location on the corner across from the bus terminal at the top of Times Square. This was a weekend so I thought the foot traffic would be high as well as having a sufficient service staff. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. Although I made my reservations through OT, we had to wait (party of 3) another 20 minutes after our time. This might be understandable if there were tons of people in front of us, but there were actually no large parties standing. Our greeter was overwhelmed (more lack of experience) and the manager tried to help where she could. Our server was also either really distracted or had just started that morning. Wasn't familiar with the menu, little customer service and forgot to return for items he started off retrieving (butter for a muffin took twenty minutes). When you are paying $9.00 for chicken soup, service had better be on point. I won't go into a tirade and list everything that went wrong because I really admire restaurant owners and I know the work is hard, but Urbo really needs rethink the business operations if they want to stay competitive. Great ambiance will not overcome cold food and poor service. I appreciate that the manager came later to apologize for the obvious lack of responsiveness, but by that time we were ready to leave.

   I found Urbo online, since we needed a restaurant close to the Nederlander theater. It looked amazing as did the menues. The hostess was sweet and sat us near the window, fabulous. Our waiter, a snobby unlikable person. Someone who should not be in the food business. Didn't know what the drinks were. Dont know why he was so mad, all he did was take the order everyone else did the work. But thanks to the woman manager, didn't get her nane, she was fantastic stepoed up and took over all his tables that were totally disgusted with him.

   I have given this place 4 tries and it seems to be getting worse rather than better. It takes about 20 minutes to get a single drink and if you order a bottle of wine, it seems as if someone takes a subway to get it, then returns to tell you they don't have but wants you to buy something that is more expensive. While the food is fine, it took forever to order and then they whisk out the apps and entrees at the same time. The man who seems to be the manger walks around the floor but has NO people skills. The hot dog stand on the corner is a better option.

   If we weren't pressed for time (we had a show on W42nd and had less than an hour to eat), we wouldn't have considered this restaurant. However, it was a pretty good option all things considered. The restaurant is large and attractive. The service was very attentive. The food, overpriced but good enough. I'd go back if I was in a similar situation but wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.

   Food and service were excellent. The Oven roasted salmon and sushi were excellent. Would highly recommend.

    A good place for a pricey hamburger. Regular dinners are mediocre and pricey. The service is amateurish. Every table has a warm bottle of Panna on display however there is none in the fridge.
