Please note that a 20% service charge will be added to all checks and 100% of the service charge is distributed to the service staff. Additional gratuity is at the guest's discretion.

Amazing strawberry rhubarb shortcake ! Butter chicken wasn’t very good. Thanks again heavily spiced compared to the traditional recipe. Awesome mac and cheese.
The value of what you get for $100 meal is poor. Didn’t appreciate an automatic gratuity of 20% for a party of 2. Parking was supposed to be validated but because I went to a concert afterward that invalidated it and cost me $25. Just had higher hopes all around.
Our meals were very good and it was the 2nd day of their spring menu. I had a fillet of beef and my husband the risotto. The wine list was extensive and our cocktails before dinner were well executed
Pros: The blackberry margarita is fantastic
Cons: The service and food were mediocre
This place had good food and service. Good place to grab dinner before a show. Lots of gluten free options. A little pricey and no wow factor, but solid choice if you need something before a show.
Nice atmosphere, good food, great service!
We went for a second time. Last time was lunch before a matinee at the Paramount. We decided to return for dinner again, pre theater. Service was outstanding, very attentive. We shared a salad recommended by our server, the beet salad. It was large enough to share and came plated for sharing. Excellent. The greens and dressing were wonderful. Entree was the mussels appetizer which was also very good. Shared dessert of sorbet and berries. It was also excellent and so large we were glad we shared. Wine was recommended by our server, also an excellent choice for our dinner. We will return.
Service varied by the person! We had several servers .....
Some food was very good....crab cakes, mussels and salads were wonderful! Chicken w/ roasted carrot was lovely. other dishes were bland and boring. Steak frites....meat was under seasoned and tough. Duck with ramen was tasteless and cold.
Very small wine pours too
We had the BBQ pork sliders, cheese curds, and the French fries. They were all really good. Great service too. Super date place!
The food was amazing and my server Carlo was great. I got seated by a window so I could people watch. I had the fish and chips and it was massive. The Cesar salad was mostly hearts which some people like, personally I don’t.
For dessert, I had the Marionberry Sorbet. Super sweet with a bit of tart. Very lovely.
Urbane is one of my go-to places to gather with friends in Seattle downtown for a meal. The food and service are excellent, the design is elegant and the noise level is low enough for us to have a conversation.
Didn't have high expectations going in as a hotel restaurant, but the breakfast selections we're very tasty, fresh, and well executed. Local ingredients (like mushrooms in the omelette) made a noticeable difference. They also create their own unique alcohol infusions for the drinkers it there.
Service was great and so was the food.
We would recommend to a friend.
The meal I ordered was a hot meal, but it was delivered cold.
The waiter was not friendly.
The food was overpriced.
Ordered the steak frites with arugula salad and “pickled mushrooms” which was only 1 mushroom slice! The frites were ok but came without any dipping sauce (no aioli?), the chimichurri was odd for the steak was odd. The worst was our server who seemed put out the whole time. My husband and I tried humor, small talk but to no avail. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? And it was Valentine’s Day! No acknowledgement at all. He oozed apathy and should not be in the service industry. We won’t be back which is too bad as it’s an interesting location and lovely decor. We wistfully walked by blueacre with their smiling waiters engaged with their customers - we will have to go there next time.
Valentine's evening dinner. Well constructed special offered for the occasion by Chef. Good menu but slightly limited in offerings. Great preparation well learned. Prompt and pleasant service. Mandatory tip added to bill, which I abhor, robbing the patron the opportunity to make a statement of thanks. In this case 20%was added even for a party of 2. We would have tipped this or more. As it was just signed and left.
Service was a bit on the slow side, but the food was excellent, the restaurant clean, and the staff kind. Grateful for the reviews that enlightened me to the automatically included gratuity as neither the host nor server mentioned it.
Went for Sunday brunch. Great food - excellent variety with something for all types of dietary needs.
Service is included in the bill. No incentive for staff to accommodate customers. Had to wave down waiter :/
I made reservations a few days in advance for 8pm on a Friday night. My guest and I checked in around 7:56pm and we were told it would be a minute before being seated. The host mentioned the restaurant was busy (a paramount show had just ended?), A LOT of dirty tables. We had to wait around for a table, food was overpriced and service was alright, I had to catch our severs attention twice (she wasn't very attentive). We were also seated in an area close to the Kitchen where there was heavy traffic from the staff running food which was a little annoying.
I really enjoyed my pre-theater meal at Urbane. I can recommend the scallops, and the smoked crab cakes. I was surprised that for a dinner for two, a 15% gratuity was added onto the bill. I usually tip 20% or more, but left it at 15% because the restaurant already included it. I must say that I find this a bit offensive. Otherwise, I’ll definitely return and recommend to friends. Wait staff were courteous and responsive to requests.
Service was very good and the atmosphere was good too. Manager Travis is a good people person and attends to the needs of the customer. We will be back!
Christmas & birthday
We were pleased with our first visit to the out-of-the-ordinary Urbane. Nice atmosphere, excellent service. Loved the cheese platter, and the salmon was perfectly done. Desserts, however, were not impressive: an odd, not-yummy apple shortcake thingy and some unripe berries. We're also not a fan of the automatic 20% "gratuity" on all checks. If normal tipping for service is not adequate, then perhaps you're not paying sufficient base wages?
The sticky toffee pudding dessert was the best I've had!!
Something happened and our food came out very late. They did give us a discount, but I don’t feel like they were really sorry about it. Saying you’re sorry goes a long way. Call me old fashioned. Can’t help it.
They were very accommodating for our large family. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was good, attentive and checked in just the right amount.
Was a perfect restaurant for a pre-show dinner with my mother in-law. We will be back
I read on line a 20% gratuity would be added to bill. I did not see that added.
Booked a table for 5.30pm Christmas Day for drinks and bites. We were given a different menu that only contained full meals that we didn't want. When I requested the normal menu we were told it was unavailable in the restaurant and only in the bar area. As we had children we were not allowed to sit in the bar area. Our table was right next to the bar, and effectively felt as if we were in the bar. All too complicated and frustrating, we left.
It was just ok - nothing to write home about.
We waited for over 35 minutes to get service and we barely got waters. Waters came 15 minutes after we sat down. People were literally walking out because no one was getting help and a lady walked out and didn’t pay because she said she was waiting and had been ignored. We ended up leaving as well. I went to the host desk to get help and the host was never there and the bartender who was only a few feet away didn’t even look at me and the other 6 people waiting in line. I have never had an experience like that before. Very disappointing.
We stopped here for dinner before a show at the Paramount.
We arrived early and were seated right away by very friendly host.
We each ordered a glass of wine that took 20 minutes to arrive. Salads corse was next...another 20 minute wait. Finally main courses arrived after yet another 20 minutes so our total time at the restaurant was over 90 minutes and we didn’t dare order dessert (no time to spare) before we had to leave to catch the show.
Overall a good meal, but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re on a tight schedule.
Great place for pre theatre. Small plates (appetizers and salads) are great and two equal an entree easily.
We went to Urbane prior to seeing the Lion King at the Paramount. We order the scallops as our main dish with an opening of the cheese platter and a salad. The service was quick and attentive, and the food was delicious. They also had a fantastic drink which was a cucumber lemon drop that was quite nice. I would recommend this restaurant as a go to place prior to a show at the Paramount.
I’ve usually had a very good experience all around at Urbane. I’ve been many times. However on this particular occasion, the service was VERY slow.
We had a simple party of four and gave our selves 1 hour 45 to eat before the theater. Two of us were going to the Paramount. The other two were going to the 5th Avenue.
We should not have ordered dessert! But we made a request that the server bring our tickets at the time of dessert because we had to leave quickly for the theater. His response, was “Yup. Like everyone else here.”
Didn’t have the option to leave anything other than the mandatory 20% gratuity, but speed of service did not warrant 20%.
Not happy with the experience!
The food was good but our server forgot to turn in our salad order and our entrées order. She was very nice and apologize but we were shocked when the bill came and there was an automatic 20% service charge!
I love Urbane, its a go-to when I have out of town colleagues visiting. Attentive staff and a great wine list.
I was disappointed however that I received an email form Opentable chiding me for missing my reservation. We were late, however it was a Tuesday and there were multiple open tables. I did inform the staff of my reservation. So, I'll continue going to Urbane but probably start picking up the phone to make reservations rather than use Opentable.
I would not recommend this restaurant, nor will we return. The food was mediocre and our primary server was awful. His attitude was so bad I almost said something to him. I have no idea why he works in the restaurant/service industry.
Had a great time. Food was so good.
The staff helpful and efficient.
