We had an ethnic dish of rice pickled vegetables, pork belly and some other ingredients. Very interesting and tasty. We will certainly be back again for more, interesting dining experiences. The waitperson was helpful, supportive without being overbearing.
Regrettably for them, the corona virus diminished the number of folks sharing the experience, but nevertheless well attended.
We were originally put in the bar seating area near the door and it was way too noisy and drafty. The hostess was nice enough to move us to the main dining area which was quieter and more intimate. We got the Bibimbap and Peking Chicken and both were exquisite dishes. Very nicely prepared, flavorful, and served compactly. If coming back to this area again, we would definitely come back.
Booked between Parts 1 and 2 of Harry Potter. Easy to get to, table ready, efficient service, good food and done with plenty of time to get back to the theater. This is a good pick.
This was our first time here. We were looking for place that opened early since we had an evening play. Wanted to be able to walk to dinner from our hotel and then to the theatre. The menu had plenty to choose from. Variety on desserts could have been better. We did have the lemon sorbet which was very good.
Would return.
Highly recommended. Chicken and sticky rice was out of this world. Amazing and great service
This was my first time eating here. I had the tuna—it was a bit spicy for me. But I did enjoy the fried rice. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was fun. They validate for a small parking discount.
We had the best waiter who took great care of me with my very specific allergy restrictions. He was light hearted and attentive and even had great tips for an upcoming trip to Spain! It was quiet and easy to have a private conversation without competing surrounding noise. The booths were very comfortable.
Dinner for two with my wife
We enjoyed our meal. The food choices were creative. We especially liked the arugula salad.
We had low expectations due to it being located in a hotel lobby and chose it for proximity to the theater. But, food was great and service very knowledgable.
Best meal out this week! We shared a chicken. My husband kept commenting how much I was enjoying it. We went home and looked up recipes because we loved it sooo much. Staff were excellent and attentive. We will be back.
Wonderful dinner! We were in our dinner break between parts 1 and 2 of Cursed Child. Ordered at our table: seared ahi, gem lettuce salad, yams, and bread. Dessert was bourbon gelato and pineapple sorbet. Every single thing was at peak flavor and had beautiful presentation. The butter was soft and had a little honeycomb candy on top. The gelato was a whole taste experience. The too full person ate it all. The yams were a revelation with the little chutney on top. We loved every bite. We will definitely return.
I was here to celebrate my niece's bday with parents in law. This place was cozy, and food was great.
Amazing experience. I had a family dinner party of 9 with one infant and we felt very comfortable. We will definitely return!
Good food, good service, good ambiance. Location is in the area that is now shady.
Amazing food, amazing hospitality, will always come back, everytime im in the city.
My husband said easily the in the top 10 of burgers he has ever had. I had a bite and I don’t eat hamburgers, and it was amazing. The fries are like classy McDonald’s fries and we couldn’t stop eating them. My steak was perfectly cooked. My ginger smash was awesome. Couldn’t taste the whiskey but it caught up by the end and gave me a buzz. Lol.
went there for Valentine’s Day, food was okay.
Had a variety of small plates. Portion size of the small plates was larger than anticipated, but food was good.
The food was wonderful and it was a nice surprise that we received a 20% discount since we had theater tickets to Harry Potter. The staff were good about watching the time since we had to get back to the theater for the second play.
Went for restaurant week and the food was very yummy and a good value. We also said that we had to get going for the Harry Potter play and turns out they have a 20% off coupon if you show your tickets! Thanks!
Far too noisy and service wasn't paying real attention. Food was okay.
This was an excellent choice for on our Theater day - close to the venue, quick service, and excellent food! Our lovely server, KJ, took excellent care of us! We had the peking duck style chicken, with sticky rice and bok choy. We also enjoyed the grilled octopus appetizer! Will be back when we have a chance!
We went to enjoy a Groupon deal.and enjoy a new place.in our area before an ACT play. The best 50/59 burger I've ever had in fact. The Japanese style accoutrements were outstanding. Only Dow.side that made NO sense is that the happy hour drinks were not available in the "dining room" we were told. So we were reseated 10 ft. Away at a table in the "bar area".
Very convenient to the Hilton Hotel where I was staying .. when back at the hotel, I would frequent them again.
Great assortment of interesting farm to table items. Lots of great vegetarian and vegan options. Nice drinks menu.
It was a beautiful spot. We came here as it was close to the Curran theater and we had tickets for Harry Potter. We arrived at 5pm for our reservation and were seated right away. We had 3 different servers and that made it hard at the end. We were served pretty quickly, but them our server disappeared. We finally got our check and then tried to pay, but had to wait. Not a big problem, but they could have turned our table over faster. There was a big JP Morgan convention and I'm sure they were overwhelmed.
Awful- they slammed up with a $90.00 bill for being there less than an hour when we wanted a quick bite. We were not informed prior to sitting down about their policy or we wouldn’t have had our meal there. Very disappointing.
Decent food, but service was struggling. We went for an early dinner (at 5!) There were hardly any guest, but food came out in a weird order (i.e. side salad before apps, and an app after mains). Our waiter seemed flustered and was not around often and it seems like maybe the kitchen was really having issues.
This is a great place to go before a show. I had a very good burger. My date had excellent beef short ribs with sweet potato gnocchi. Dessert was fantastic. We shared a fudge pop (handmade popsicle of good ice cream hand-coated in thick chocolate) and little "cherry bombs" -- amarena cherries in the middle of cherry ice cream and then candy coated. They were GREAT.
I appreciated our thoughtful server who helped us get out in time to get to the Orpheum for Hamilton.
Delicious! Loved all three dishes.
The food and service was very good
Worn decor.
Good ok but pricey.
Nothing special.
We were staying at the Hilton and chose the Urban Tavern to host a small Christmas Eve dinner for a party of 8. There were other large parties as well, one of 20 and another of 8. The restaurant was short staffed due to some last minute sick calls... Hmmm, I wonder why? The wait staff responded with heroic effort and while we may have waited a little longer, the food was hot and cooked to order. We had some Milk Bread for an appetizer. They offered a prix fixe menu that was excellent. A creamy mushroom soup and either a duck breast or ribeye steak. 3 in our party got hamburgers and 2 got sea bass. Everyone said their food was excellent. A perfect venue for Christmas Eve. Kudos to Vittelio for his extraordinary effort and professionalism.
Very good good and service. There was a mistake with the reservation but the manager handled the situation with grace. Very good customer service.
A lot of the food was delicious. We had a booth which was great, but some of the separate tables don't look very fun to sit at. Nice full bar. Great service.
The food was good with a couple of issues. The steak frites were ordered medium. They came out so rare that one member of our party could not eat then. The little gems salad was described as having green goddess dressing. I am not sure there was any green goddess at all. The smashed fries were excellent
Easy to quickly reserve online- fast food service, food was better than expected (especially butter cake dessert- drinks were boozy; good choice in kids menu. Nice server
Before a show
Food was very good. We were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and overall experience.
