Urban Taco Mockingbird Station
Very different from the traditional Mexican food and very good!
Such friendly staff. Food was great.
The food is good, but that's about it. They need to do something about the multiple doors into the restaurant. Staff going in and out of the side door, causing cold winds to blow in makes for a not so great evening. Not many options other than sitting at the bar to avoid it.
Service and food were excellent!
Visited lately with my family and my best friend, as a suggestion from a good friend, pleasantly surprised by the great tasting food and beverages menu, sounds crazy but it is as authentic as it can be in such an urban setting and restaurant chain like environment, for causal dinning, I’ll suggested to every one!
Pineapple marg is amazing! Sitting on the patio is nice.
Easy quick dinner before seeing a movie at Anjelica.
Too long waiting time for the food
I've been dining at Urban Taco since I moved to Dallas almost 10 years ago. The food is always delicious and the savory drinks are the cherry on the top. My only gripe about this new location is that the service leaves a lot to be desired. I've dined at the new location a handful of times and each time there has been some issue we've had to deal with. The most glaring of them included waiting on food for more than 30-40 minutes and billing errors. They, of course, have been willing to take care of us when these things happen but they shouldn't be happening from the start.
Nice mexican food, with authentic ingredients. Very good food and service. Is casual and fun!
First time to Urban Taco....delicious food!! I will be back!!🙌🏻
The waiter we had was good. He had one issue with space and reaching over our plates. Other than that he was good.
The food was excellent. The service and staff were excellent as well. Would definitely go back again and recommend it to friends. Thanks for a great lunch.
The Yucca Fries and dipping sauces were interesting and yummy while the upscale “street” style tacos did not disappoint. Red snapper, carnitas (pork), and beef brisket tacos each came with a variety of perfectly complimentary toppings and sauces. The fun atmosphere and prompt service made for a nice experience overall.
Sercice and food were exceptionally good. A little warm on a 90 degree day for windows and doors to be open
Bright and happy spot with excellent food. Fresh, clean and delicious. I had the tacos in lettuce wraps, which were perfect. We did the salsa trio: all delicious. Healthy options for sure. The margaritas were also top shelf. The juices were fresh squeezed and high quality ingredients. Really, a bargain for the quality.
Awesome service Abraham was amazing!!
Everything was excellent. Excellent bartender and we loved the margaritas...
Very busy on a Fri night but we were seated quickly with a reservation. The combo tacos are always a good choice and LOVE the corn w/crema side. Margaritas are also great.
Great food--delicious! Ordered the tuna tower but was served a different appetizer. Waiter sort of disappeared and then firgot to make the switch back until we were leaving. No adjustment for the screw up.
Normally one of my favorites. Not that evening.
Very disappointed in the service. The table for my large group was not set to accommodate the reservation. I understand we had a large group but I had to request to have the drink order taken, the food order taken and had to inquire on the entrees too. To top it all off, the restaurant added an additional 10% to the gratuity over the one I left. The menu and receipt did not indicate automatic gratuities for large parties. Most of the food was good, albeit pricey, except for the pozole. It was clearly tortilla soup and had only three hominy in the entire bowl. I might return but definitely not with a large group.
We dined early as we were on our way to an event. The service was good and prompt. The food was excellent and noise level manageable.
The restaurant was closed due to relocating. Not sure why I was able to make a reservation for a closed restaurant. Ruined date night of dinner and movie..
The food was great!
Great place ,good food. very good overall. Only thing was they didn't credit my OpenTable account with the dining points.
Food and service is absolutely amazing!
I seriously love this place!!! Everything is so delicious!!
The staff was very accommodating. Everyone was very friendly. It was too loud for a conversation in the restaurant, but they have very pleasant outdoor seating. The food was excellent.
Tacos were very good. The seasoning on the chips was excellent. The different salsas for the chips were also excellent.
Food & drink were great as always.
One thing that bugs me though is when the place has lots of tables open and the servers try to seat us right next to someone when there are plenty of other options. I'll ask for another spot and I've heard others do the same, but sometimes they seem a bit put out.
We really enjoy this place. Please come to Tarrant County!
Don't bother making a reservation at this place. They won't honor it. Why is Urban Taco even on Open Table? We made a reservation last week because we were on a tight schedule and had tickets to see a movie at the nearby Angelika theater. We were stunned when we arrived at Urban Taco -- only to be told that our reservation didn't mean anything, and that we'd have to wait in line (about 15 - 20 minutes) behind all the other people waiting. With only 1 hour before the movie was scheduled to start, we left and found another place nearby (Smash Burger) where we could grab a bite to eat. Urban Taco really screwed up our plans for the evening. Beware when making a reservation here -- it doesn't mean anything. Open Table should have some way to police its restaurants to see if they will honor reservations made through its web site. Shame on Urban Taco.
We thought we were going to a movie and needed to hurry and our server was totally ready to accommodate us. We changed our mind, and just enjoyed the good food and good service.
Worst service ever!!! Ever!!!! Will NEVER return!
Service was really good. Better than the last time we ate there. Never crowded and so can always hear the people you are with. They did something new to their chips and so delicious. I always love the different types of salsa options.
If you like different gourmet style tacos, quality drinks and and a different twist on classic appetizer at cheap price Urban Taco is the place. You get a high new age experience at very reasonable prices and quality food. The place is a bit small but the service is good as well as food. Definitely recommend this place for my "Ballers On a Budget"
Met another couple here for a quick dinner and we were very happy with our meal and the attentive service.
I love Urban Taco. It is a bit hard to get to, but well worth it. They are quick with their service and food and I can always count on them for an extraordinary meal. I gave them four stars, because it is tacos after all. It is 5 stars for what it is. Their menu is varied, the food is scrumptious, and I just can't get enough of their pork. Great Salsa array and homemade chips, which need more salt, are a little hard to eat, and there is never enough of them, but the tacos will fill you up in the end. They come out small and you think, "Really?" and then by the second one, you are contemplating a stomach extension!
My husband and I were in town for a conference and on our way to see a film at the Angelika. We made a reservation at the spur of the moment after looking online for nearby restaurants.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service was terrific. The food was phenomenal. We each ate two tacos- snapper, shrimp, ahi tuna- and were stuffed. And they had Mexican Cokes, which is a huge plus.
We love UT.
