Service was very slow. The Steak Cheeks and their fries were good, but no one else in my 7 person party enjoyed their meal.

Read about this place on Eater. Had good vegetarian options. Made a reservation (for 1 haha) but wound up sitting at the bar. Nice place, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Only problem was that they brought my main out less than 5 min after I got my app. I had maybe half of a biscuit and then the main arrived. Don't like that - plan better in the kitchen to give diners a chance to enjoy their app, drink, digest a bit and then bring the main. It wasn't packed, nor close to closing, so no reason for the rush.

This was just a lunch with two friends who both share their love and mine too for the awesome watermelon salad. It is the best one we have had and maybe the first time years ago when we had it. We keep coming back for it during the summer because it's so refreshing. Of course, I had to get the duckaroni to go, can't pass that up at all. So delicious. One of our friends had a birthday and our sweet server even brought over some ice cream, very nice of her.

the food really blew us away! don’t pass on the charcuterie and cheese platter - exceptionally arranged and really special options to choose from. the beef cheeks are not to be missed! so tender and perfectly cooked, every bite was as good as the first. service was a bit awkward - our server dashed off as soon as we finished saying we wanted the charcuterie platter and promptly disappeared, without taking the rest of our meal and drink orders until much later. the pacing of our meal wasn’t great because of this; however, the food more than made up for the small glitch in service. would highly recommend!

Second time we went there, first time in brunch.

The menu options are way more limited, but equally as tasty as Lunch/Diner.

We picked this place for a get-together with friends we haven't seen in ages because we knew there was a wide variety of menu options and the ambiance is cool and casual.

The noise level was a little high, but not excessive .

Great experience, overall. Would recommend.

I would say the inside seating, while great, would be a bit more noisy than outdoor.

This place is a go-to for me anytime we have company in town. City sophistication in a small neighborhood space where the price feels like a steal for such a lovely meal.

I believe if you serve biscuits that they should be warm, and ours were very cold and we could not eat them. Our food was okay but it seemed to be described very differently than what it tasted like in the end. Overall, I may come back again for drinks as the service was great and so is the ambiance.

Food and service are usually great here, that’s why we keep combing back. This time though, service was painfully slow and the food, when it finally came out, was cold.

We were there pretty early, so it was nice and quiet, not sure about how noisy it would be with more people. The food was great, good cocktails, the wine list is reasonably priced.

Disappointed because we made reservations for Blue Grass Brunch but sadly were seated inside away from music which we could not hear at all from the back room. Were told that if we wanted to sit where we could hear the music we would have to get on the waiting list, which they said would be close to an hour. There were just two of us and would have been good if we had known this before making reservations. So just know better to get on waiting list than make a reservation I guess.

Delicious! I had the grilled (four) cheese sandwich, tomato soup, salad. We went mid afternoon so we had the patio to ourselves. Service was perfect - attentive, not invasive. I've heard good things about Urban Solace for years but this was my first visit. I'll be back!

Business lunch. Both had the ahi sandwich with fries. Got the aoli on the side. Good move, it was tasty without. Fries were better than expected. Will go back and try dinner sometime. Nice place.

I was in town visiting friends in San Diego, and we went to Urban Solace for brunch. It was fun and the food was good. What made the service great was our waitress. She noticed that I did not finish my Bloody Mary and took it off our bill. We had several people approached our table and asked about our meal. Very attentive service!

Though we liked the ambiance and the server and receptionist were quite nice, we were a bit disappointed by the food. We had the shrimp appetizer which was tasty. Perhaps the biggest concern I had with the rest of the menu was too much tendency toward sweetness in the entrees--sweet potatoes all over the menu, fruit sauces, etc. Not my preference.

I’ve been here before and the food is tasty. It was not as good this visit but I would go back. I like the environment. It took a little longer than I would like to order food which surprised me since it was a Wednesday night and not too busy.

Great comfort southern-fusion place. Had brunch items to satisfy my breakfast-hating boyfriend, picky stepdad, and Keto mom, while still catering to my trendy and adventurous taste.

My only negative is that I HATE when restaurants don't gift anything on a birthday... It's the principle of the thing. I bring a whole group of friends and family out to celebrate, at least show some kind of gesture. And we both know that your markup on those deserts is insane anyway.... What could it really cost? $2-3? It's about making someone feel special on their special day!

But that is my ONLY gripe! We had a great time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
