The food was fantastic best experience at a restaurant ever. I only wish that my neighbors had been there to experience it.

All was great but smoking at the bar is allowed??? We were shocked that 2 people were allowed to smoke indoors.

From beginning to end a great experience thanks to our server Erica. Her enthusiasm and recommendations were spot on. The finishing touch was her serenade of opera and pop that was spectacular. Just an over-all great experience in part to the unbelievable service.

I went with my parents. None of us had been there before. Food and service were great! Their charcuterie and seafood bar was great, very fresh and with a good assortment.
Service was great too. Very accommodating and friendly.
I will definitely go back!

The Sunday Seafood Brunch is 2nd to none. There are two options for the buffet which makes it well worth your experience.

Wonderful food and service. We were visiting Nashville from out of town. Our Uber driver recommended the restaurant. We all loved it.

We enjoyed great conversation with extended family that we haven’t seen in quite some time, prior to having tickets to Zanies. Very enjoyable experience, great appetizers and drinks, however our waiter seemed to be reading a script quickly and mumbled, which made it difficult to hear all that he said.

One of my favorite places in Nashville. Always good service and you cannot beat the food! The Filet is to die for. We were able to sit outside and it was a wonderful atmosphere!

We had company from out of state, and wanted to make sure we ate before hitting the bars on Saturday afternoon. I made reservations a week in advance for 5 of us.
We were seated immediately upon arrival, but at a small booth that was probably made for 4. It was tight, to say the least.
The first round of Bloody Marys was perfect. The second was overloaded with chunky horseradish. Not good.
Among the 5 of us we had Hot Chicken and Waffles, Hot Chicken Sandwiches, the Tennessee Hot Brown, and the Brunch Enchilada. The Hot Brown and the Waffle were great. Everything else - so/so. The Hot Chicken was basically a Buffalo Chicken Tender - definitely not Nashville Hot Chicken, which disappointed our visitors.
We did not do the buffet, which looked awesome, but no one was hungry enough to justify the price.
The wait staff works in teams, so there's always someone around if you need anything.
We probably should have asked for a better table, and now I know about the chicken so I can set expectations.
I'd come back and recommend others give it a shot.

Our group had a wonderful dinner at Urban Grub on April 10th. The service was outstanding and the food delicious. We came from out of town coming here on a recommendation of some friends. They were right - it was a great place. We arrived a little early but we were seated right away, which was nice. The oysters on the half shell were very fresh and tasty, the wedge salad had its own twist of caramelized onions (so good), the double cut pork chop was huge and amazing. All the starters, salads and meats were thoroughly enjoyed by our group. The one exception was the Lobster BLT Flatbread starter. It was very disappointing. All in all, we had a very nice dinner here and would recommend it!

The deep fried breaded pork appetizer was horrible and the shrimp and grits was so rich, it was almost inedible. We should have ordered items that were recommended from Open Table customers instead of taking the advice of our server. When we didn't finish the appetizer, he never asked us why and he pretty much disappeared. Very disappointing.

Horrible service. I was dining by myself. Server never check on my until he brought the check. On top of that, he and another server were making fun of people dinning solo

Living in the neighborhood, always a great spot to walk to in Nashville and take our guests when they are visiting. Food was amazing - from the squash omelette to the pancakes to the cheese grits.

This was my first time to dine at Urban Grub per recommendations of other friends. We gathered to celebrate a friend and her new husband. Food, service, and atmosphere were great! I highly recommend getting a reservation (which we did) or you will have a long wait. Definitely a place I will visit again when I am in Nashville.

Food was great! The only thing that I didn't like, was that I made a reservation and was seated in the bar area. It was pretty loud, and was seated by a large window and the sun was in our eyes for a bit. If I was not going to be seated in the dining room area, I would've liked to know ahead of time, and probably would've gone somewhere else.

We are a group of friends on a “Girls Trip” and were just looking for a place for dinner near where we were staying and cannot believe how lucky we were to pick this restaurant. From the very beginning when we just confirmed our reservation through the end of our meal everyone we encountered was so friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making our evening perfect. The service was impeccable and the food fantastic. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to everyone we hear are coming to Nashville and will definitely return next time we are in town. We had the shrimp and grits which we all thought were the best we have ever had and the double pork chops which were so juicy and delicious. Definitely the best meal we had on our trip!

Ordered: oysters, peel and eat shrimp, Caesar salad, creamed Brussels sprouts.
Oysters OK - hard to screw that up. Nothing special.
Peel and eat shrimp - basically the same you would get at a corporate cocktail reception - Costco shrimp with cocktail sauce. Less than special.
Brussels sprouts - awful gloppy mess. Shredded sprouts cooked in a sauce that resulted in tasteless, texture-less soupy glop. Awful. Could not even taste, or even detect, the sprouts.
Caesar salad: the worst I have ever had. How can you screw this up? By cutting up and then smothering the lettuce in a huge gloppy sauce that destroyed the crispness you expect and replaced it with such a mess I could not even eat it. Yuk.
Bottom line: Fun atmosphere. But terrible food.
