Urban Fondue Ratings and Reviews
Just want to say this is my favorite restaurant. However this last time the service was not so great. Our waiter have me pork when i ordered lobster. He completely forgot our side of potatoes then when I reminded him he said sorry ill get that right up. When we were finished with our meal he said oh I'm so sorry ill get that for you. We said nevermind. Then when we ordered our dessert fondue I asked for a shot of Bailey's and did not get it. When he have me the bill at the end I asked him about it. He said sorry ill see if I can take a couple bucks off...ive never had poor service here until then.
We took our three girls there for our daughter’s 10th birthday they had a great time the service was amazing so friendly so sweet to arc girls would totally recommend it I’d love to go back with just my husband for date night and more drinks cocktails were great Lotta fun
I had read some not so good reviews on Google and I have to say, I have no idea what those people were talking about because my wife and I had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and I loved that I had to cook my own meats in delicious broths. The bacon and asparagus gouda fondue was to die for and so was the marionberry cheesecake dessert. All the meats that we had cooked in the broth was sooooo good and fresh. I would definitely love to come back and highly recommend anyone take their dates there. Thanks guys for the awesome service, friendly waiters, and delicious food.
Urban Fondue is hands down our favorite place to go on a date. Definitely make sure that you make a reservation if you come since they often are booked and can’t accept walk ins. Fantastic food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. It’s worth the drive and struggle to find parking.
Always fun to fondue. Everyone gets what they want. Service very good. Kinda pricey. For 4 of us it was $167, including tip. And we only got 3 entrees instead of 4. The only other issue is that it wasn't clear that each entree came with veggies, so we ordered a veggie entree and ended up with way more veggies and not enough meat. Next time we'll know better.
Cheese and chocolate fondues are exceptionally yummy.
Wife and went for our anniversary. The staff were helpful in picking out broth that would work with our main dish choices. We got the happy hour special which included the cheese fondue, main course, and desert chocolate fondu for two. It was a great value. Was a little to dark to read the menu, but we just used our phones as a flashlight.
Rene helped me put together a special evening for my fiancé’s birthday. I brought a few special items ahead of time and he was fully prepared to present them according to our plan. The pacing of the dinner was perfect so that we were always engaged but never rushed. He was a wonderful part of the meal and my date and I had lots of time to share the food and talk.
This is one of my daughter's favorite places to eat, especially with her girlfriends, so when she invited me to join her I was excited to try it out. We arrived during the Happy Hour and had the Fondue Experience. The booth seating is ridiculously low and should be boosted up, it's awkward and uncomfortable. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The cheese and bread fondue was good, we got the smoked cheddar. However, the Fin and Shellfish plate I ordered was SUPER fishy smelling and the oysters were inedible. They were apologetic and brought more tortellini and veggies and removed the seafood. By the time dessert arrived, I had an upset stomach. It was fine, and maybe a 20-somethings idea of a great place to eat but I just wasn’t a fan.
The fondue was great - the problem was our scatterbrained server. By the end of the evening, she'd discounted both our bottles of wine because they didn't have what we wanted in stock. She kept forgetting things, and it seemed like they may have been understaffed.
We had a reservation and arrived about 5 minutes early since it was New Year's Eve. The hostess told us the wait would be just a couple of minutes. They ended up making us wait 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. The tables are so close together that we could barely walk through without tripping over other peoples chairs. The waiter was nice, friendly and helpful at least. The food was OK but definitely not worth the $200+ that we paid for 2 entrees and dessert plus drinks. The melting pot fondue restaurant at least is worth the price tag because they give you decent portions and the food tastes way better than Urban Fondue.
The food was excellent. The negative, however, was we arrived early for our reservation, but had to wait 45 minutes to be seated because the previous party at "our" table would not leave. The hostess was kind and apologetic, but no concession was offered - Not even a free drink while we waited.
We went for a family dinner for Christmas Eve and the waiter explained everything to us so well and encouraged us to order the fondue experience and what is included. Everything arrived timely and efficiently. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing. And the best surprise of all was the amount of food for the cost; we were so happy we went and after looking at the total even happier. We will definitely go back again
