We enjoyed our experience at Urban Fondue as usual. The food was great and the service was excellent.
It would be a mistake to miss their Oregon Black Truffle Cheese Fondue, we almost ordered a second serving of it!
I went to Urban Fondue to celebrate my birthday. The staff is amazing. The food tastes great. I love the decor (although the booths seats need to be a little higher). Urban Fondue is always a fun time!
Went for my birthday, had the fondue experience. Was great!
Service was great, the cheese and dessert fondue great. It was the meat that was not as good. We had 2 broths to cook it in and neither one was hot enough to cook the meat properly. I kept biting into raw meat. They said 3 minutes and even gave us a timer, but it was more like 8-10 minutes to cook it medium rare. Still had a nice time and enjoyed it, but not a 5 star review.
Came here for our 1-year wedding anniversary. Started at Bartini for happy hour (also fantastic) then moved to Urban Fondue for dinner. Service was friendly and quick, food was awesome, and they gave us some free champagne! We come here every year since we started dating in high school (eighth time now!) and it’s just as good as ever. Highly recommend it! Thank you Urban Fondue!
My wife and I had a great experience at Urban Fondue. The food was great! It was expensive but at the same time there was plenty of food. It was a great date night!
A great place to come as a group and share so you can try a little of everything.
I would give it a 6/10. The service was okay, and the food was average. We had to ask for service multiple times and waited for our service for quite some time. Servers weren’t as helpful and created more of a headache for my girlfriend and I. Fondue was made well and came out hot, service was the downside of this restaurant.
Service was extremely slow. I put down that it was a birthday occasion and nothing was prepared for it. We have came to this restaurant many times for many birthdays and we would always get a special something. We have been to this restaurant many times. It is usually our favorite spot. It usually takes us about an hour or maybe a little less to get through our courses for the fondue experience. This time it almost took 2 hours to get THROUGH our “experience”. No music playing. Waited 30 minutes before actually ordering food once we sat down at our reserved table. Our cheese portion of the fondue experience was the best part of our meal I will admit. Overall the experience was poor. Urban Fondue does not seem like a special place anymore.
The food was AMAZING and our waitress was one of the nicest girls, I’ve ever met. The only downside I would point out is that we were seated next to the door, and our the flame that keeps our fondue melted, constantly was going out.
Food was great. Even though it was Mother’s Day and they were very busy, and down one server, service was extraordinary.
When you see the rather ominous dessert menu, do yourself a favor, make your life easy, just order the salted caramel cognac. You will not be disappointed.
My only warning is that if you get the “fondue experience” you better be very hungry.
The food was freaking fabulous and the service was great. Will definitely be back, especially for the cheese fondue, which was heavenly. Thank you for a wonderful birthday experience!
Had a wonderful dinner. Thank you so much. Will be back soon!!!!
Very quiet environment - sat in a boot looking out onto the street. Had thee course and were very full and satisfied. The cheese selection was excellent and we very much enjoyed the Black Truffle option.
We usually go to the competition every year for my daughter's birthday (her choice). This year we opted for something new: Urban Fondue. I think we all have a new favorite fondue restaurant! Our service was impeccable, and the food was so plentiful, fresh, and super tasty. Other than parking, I would definitely recommend.
The Oregon Black Truffle Fondue will be in our dreams every night for some time
Too much good food, and also, very dark inside.
We came to celebrate and the experience and food was delicious! We will be back. Thank you!
This isn't our first experience with a fondue type experience. And this wasn't a bad fondue experience. It just wasn't a very good fondue experience. We can immediately see the table is way too small for a party of 5, but it appeared the only option. Our first experience with the server was him informing us there was another reservation @ 6:30, so we had to hustle through our dining experience. Not great. The food was good, bordering on delicious. The bread was unremarkable, while the french onion sausage was delightful. The appetizer cheeses were also delicious, though there didn't appear to be enough for the bread provided. Perhaps ordering the sausage and fruit plates exceeded the cheese limit? The entree was also above average, though the heat pots stopped producing heat well before we finished cooking the raw meats. Also, not great. The biggest complaint was the drink service. Our glasses were constantly empty, and getting replacements seemed to take an act of congress. Apparently they get the drinks from the bar next door, which made for a 10-15 minute turnaround time, once we finally were able to request them from the server. Super not great, and not helpful for the 2 hour turnaround they were so concerned about. Overall, it seemed like an average experience for an above average price. And don't even get me started on the parking, which had no bearing on the scores given.
All around fantastic experience. Great food, Great Cocktails!! We had a time restriction so couldn't have our dessert. They put it under my name to enjoy next visit!! Can't wait!!
Dinner was very good as always at Urban Fondue .The one thing I questioned was being charge for cranberry juice when I ordered a Cape Cod cocktail . Witch is vodka and cranberry juice with a lime
Renee was fantastic! He went above and beyond for us, and the food was on point!
The marionberry cheesecake fondue is to die for!
The cheese fondue was great, we hope they put it on the regular menu. I had the fin and shellfish and our server was great because I don't care for oysters or scallops so she gave me Moree salmon and shrimp. Would definitely go back.
Host was rude and awful, the first table they sat us at had overstuffed cushions that caused us to slip off and when we asked to change tables we were initially told no. My husband pressed the issue and we were moved. The waiter was fabulous. First course - cheese course - was amazing. Some of the best fondue I’ve ever had. The second course was a total rip off - a few bites of steak and lobster- and we struggled to cook anything in lukewarm pots. Desert course was just ok, but that was our bad for ordering an option we didn’t love. Overall, we felt it was over priced for a mediocre meal and the rude host flipped it from “just ok” to “won’t be back.”
Not the best quality of meats or seafoods, the appetizer started off with a lot of excitement but when the mains came they were small servings and the hot pots were just heated with sterno and could not keep up with the task. We ended up just dumping all the veggies in the pot at the end and waited the broth to heat up for fifteen min. to finally cook them. We ate the meat and fish first so we could eat and not diffuse the heat so the meal was not a smooth or a coordinated affair. The dessert tray was a mix of fruit and bits of cookies. marshmallows, cream puffs and a bagel? which met with a wide range of again uncoordinated tastes. Service was very good, but we went away hungry. No comparison to the Melting Pot,
Not as good as the Melting Pot. I don’t think I’d come here again. Parking was a major hassle, service was merely adequate and food was just ok. Subpar cooking method and lacking in some of the best dipping sauces. Just not impressed.
Novelty meal on the expensive side @ $32 per person and takes about 2 hours or so to get through 3 courses. It was OK once, would not go back as really nothing memorable. Our martini's were watered down, just not a great value overall.
Our waitress did not come to check on us or ask for refills. The meat options were not very good and the meat itself was poor quality. We were happy with the cheese and dessert fondue, but would stay away from the meat course options.
Amazing. All around good! Atmosphere, food, drinks and service all wonderful! Excellent for a date!
Wait staff is fantastic!
Always a great time here. Vince, I believe was the primary person to be assisting with our dinner, was fantastic, as he has been each time I have visited and been fortunate enough to be helped by him. Very knowledgeable on the menu options, friendly, and prompt. The food was fantastic, but the tiramisu fondue for dessert might be the best fondue anything I’ve ever had.
Great place for a date night or anniversary dessert evening.
Our server was excellent, friendly and efficient. The food was good but it’s the experience that’s memorable. The decor is a little bohemian, dark and moody, just suits the culinary experience. Definitely going back.
We were seated in a back booth with extremely plump cushions..a little too plump, but not a big deal. Drink menu is EXTENSIVE! Wow. Drinks are very reasonably priced and made well. Cheese course was universally best received by all 4 at our table. It was delicious and honestly I'm already craving another go. The entree round was ok, but not remarkable. Lobster portions were smaller than expected, given the upcharge. Vegetables were diverse, but did not equally compliment the meat choices. The fondue portion of dessert was delicious, but the dippers were not pleasing. The cookie dough and cheesecakes were gritty and too sweet to enjoy. The cream puffs were ok except that the centers were still frozen, which i do not like personally. The fruit was perfect! I'd give dessert 5 stars if it was just fruit and maybe the angel food cake..
I would absolutely eat there again. I'd probably do 2 cheese courses and a dessert if i can request my dipper options.
Service was attentive but not obtrusive. It's a relatively small restaurant and i hope they grow into a larger space soon! We'll be back
Good choice for a night out with the kids. Friendly, helpful host and servers. Extensive cocktail menu.
This is not good fondue, not good service, not quiet and not worth the BIG price tag. We felt rushed from the moment we sat down. The servers all seemed upset to work there. We ordered a couple of salads an appetizer, a couple of cheese fondues with several sides to dip along with the bread and a couple of dessert fondues. We were served both salads, the appetizer, all of the sides and the cheese fondues all at once on a tiny 4 person table. The servers seemed to want to just throw the plates down wherever and get the heck out of there. At a point they were putting one plate on top of another. The quality of the bread, the cheese and the sides was very poor. The fondue itself was just ok. The chocolate fondues and those side were also gross. I’m pretty sure they picked up most of the ingredients from a 7-11.
Overall a very yummy experience with lots of options. We go once or twice a year and every time is a fun experience for the whole family.
