Wagyu New York strip was phenomenal. Mushrooms also very good. Staff was very helpful, educated and friendly. Overall great experience but not for a budget.
The pork chop is amazing
I would normally recommend urban farmer. I dine there several times per year, usually for lunch. On our last visit the service was really poor. We waited 30 mins after being seated without being visited by our waiter. Once we ordered, the meal prep was also slow. One of our party had to take their lunch to-go.
Dear David, Please accept our sincere apologies for the poor experience you had during your last visit. We strive to offer high level service and clearly we failed this time. I have shared your comments with management and servers in order to take action and improve on these areas. We appreciate your feedback and we hope to have the chance to welcome you back. Please contact me on your next visit, I will ensure you a great experience. Sandra Alcazar.-Senior Restaurant Manager
I had heard tons of great things about it and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious & fresh, as well as, the waitstaff was amazing.
The fresh ingredients really make all the difference and elevate a seemingly normal meal to fine dining quality. I loved every bit of food I tried and the service was impeccable. I order the Striped Bass and had a Petraske’s Sour and they were both delicious. I can’t wait to visit again!
We had a wonderful experience all around. We had a very knowledgeable staff member help us select a wine, which was delightful. My friend and I split a cheese board, and each of us got a 6oz Filet. Our server was helpful in selecting a cut that we both enjoyed, and the truffle butter addition was decadent and so complimentary to the steak. We shared potato purée and French fries, but couldn’t finish either after such a delicious and filling meal. Thank you Urban Farmer! We will be back.
We ate early, so it was fairly quiet. The service is always fantastic as is the food. Ribeye is awesome.
Loved the sides. Mac, spinach. We got a crab cocktail instead of shrimp. Delicious. Will definitely return
Very nice restaurant with very good food, though a bit expensive.
Fantastic meal! Service staff was excellent, from the bartender to our waiter, who made great recommendations regarding the menu. As a gluten-free diner, I appreciate their attention to detail and did not feel like I was receiving less of a culinary experience because of my dietary limitations. Champagne to celebrate our anniversary was a nice plus as well!
Had brunch after a visit to a local museum. What a great choice! The food was delicious, the setting was spacious and comfortable.
I felt like I was dining at Howard Johnson’s but with much higher
Slow service, not worth the price, server was inattentive and I had to ask to be watered 3 times, two people sat at a four top and they never removed the other place settings...
Server may have been busy but it was slow only a few other tables and management could have helped if that was the case. The price on the menu is more than just the price of the steak it should reflect the entire experience your paying for and over all not impressed, could get an equal quality steak many other places with better service, if I’m paying 60$ for just a steak I should be wowed...
Great food! Perfectly cooked steak.
New Year’s Eve dinner was excellent here. Always great food and stellar drink menu make this a great place.
Everything was outstanding - I can’t pick an amazing item because it was all that good.
Just try this place!!
New Years dinner
Another wonderful evening. We miss the cheese monger!
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone in a rush. Service was slooooowww!
Casual decor and servers. Recipes may vary from traditional for certain dishes, but are generally very good. Some could be better: for example, hamburger served on "home made english muffin" -- muffin was not solid enough to hold burger as sandwich...fell apart. Duck was good, but "medium rare" is a bit rare. The caramel sundae, Blondie dessert is super.
Enjoyed breakfast, lunch dinner. Good bar and bar servers.
Service was not at the level expected for this price point. Glasses and plates not cleared promptly. Drinks removed before finished. Boxed food was combined at the table using my knife to stab the steak and combine plates. Seriously shocking.
I don’t rate easy but this restaurant was great. I am a flight attendant and I was on duty on Christmas Day so I arranged to have Christmas dinner with my family in the evening.
I was finished with work earlier so we asked if we can have dinner about one hour earlier and they accommodated no problem.
The table was perfect for my family size of five the waitress was friendly without being overbearing she was also very knowledgeable. The food arrived timely even though our steak needed 1/2 hour to cook - we ordered the tomahawk steak which was carved table side by a knowledgeable chef and cooked to perfection.
The sides were perfect we had the cream spinach the mashed potatoes and the mac & cheese.
My youngest daughter order a child steak and she was delighted to see it served on Two small wood skewers.
Memorable Christmas Dinner even though it was not at home this year it was still very special.
Overall this restaurant exceeded any expectations!! After one of our steaks came to the table a little undercooked, they immediately took care of it and covered our dessert. My steak was amazing, Brioche Mac and cheese was to-die-for and candies carrots were phenomenal! Headed back again soon!!
Food and service was exceptionally good but the restaurant is in a hotel and acts as a hotel bar which diminished the ambience making the experience less than enjoyable than I had hoped.
Wonderful experience. Family friendly, outstanding food, and exceptional service! Went there for Christmas brunch; will definitely be returning for lunch or dinner.
Christmas breakfast/brunch was amazingly delicious. Had the Lobster Benedict & Crab Omelette with Chicken apple sausage on the side which is a must try, made in house by their butcher on site. Was here before for National Hot Chocolate day & I have not been disappointed. Will definitely make more visits here, it is so worth it to us.
Our server was excellent and patient. The beef TARTARE was off the chain!
Christmas Eve dinner was spectacular. Outstanding food and service.
I had Xmas Eve dinner at Urban Farmer. There was a nice energy to the restaurant, with most of the tables being occupied. I was hesitant to book here because I didn't think that would be the case, since Urban Farmer is often forgotten when discussing the top local steakhouses. I had the Romaine Caesar, shared Sauteed Mushrooms + Mac & Cheese, and had the 14oz. grain finished NY Strip. All were fantastic. Logan Square has quietly attracted a nice collection of restaurants.
