When we arrived our table was ready. The service was by far the greatest and server was very attentive.
The food was excellent as was the fresh made beer! Service was super!
Service was courteous and efficient.
Excellent meal and service from the restaurant. Wonderful options, great service and most importantly good food and beer.
First time in years for me but I'll definitely be back much sooner. Food was amazing and service was even better! Lots of choices in Omaha but this should be on everyone's rotation
Good place, well located with grest service and marcellous food
Great place with some different things on the menu that are fun to try. Atmosphere is great and service is always wonderful. House beers rock!
I booked a reservation and we were seated in very quickly. It was very busy, so I was glad I made a reservation. Our food was great and arrived in a timely manner. Our ticket was a little pricey--over $88 for 3 people
Even though we stated in our reservation we were celebrating our Anniversary we were seated in a little bitty table in the middle of the room. Nice booths seemed to be available. it was very noisy. I've had much better Veggie burgers. My husband enjoyed his ribeye. We really enjoyed having drinks after dinner upstairs seated on a cozy couch.
Steaks were tough
Service was spotty
Didn’t have the wine we ordered- Strike 3
Good food and good service. Specials sounded good.
We were recently visiting in Omaha. We had dined at Upstream years ago and really enjoyed the food and beer options. During our recent visit, Upstream lived up to our memories. The food and the beers we tried were great. Our waiter was awesome, as well.
We've been going to Upstream for several years. Like many restaurants, you'll get a better table if you make a reservation. The upstairs section is quieter and more intimate; the tables downstairs always seem kind of crowded together. Our server was excellent - he was happy to spend time answering questions about the menu, and had great timing. He popped back at regular and well-timed intervals to make sure we were doing OK or to see if we needed anything else.
The specials are worth getting - very creative, and I usually find them more appealing than many of the menu items. For example, both of the soups on the menu - tomato basil and a cheese soup - both just seem a little bland to me, compared to the soup specials. On this visit, I had a chicken parmesan soup, which was just delightful. I also had a ribeye special that was so marvelous I gobbled down almost all of it - usually I find their portion sizes quite large and enough for one or two "leftover" meals.
That's not to say I don't like the regular menu selections - there are some really great choices there. I think the best thing about it is that there is enough variety for everyone. My husband prefers simpler tastes (kind of a "meat-and-taters" guy) while I like things a little more exotic. There's something for everyone at Upstream.
Great service! Food came out quickly and the waitress was good mannered and did a wonderful job.
Upstream is a very nice restaurant. It was very busy, so I'm glad we made reservations before we went. We were in town for a romantic night away, so when we were seated at a two-person table next to a larger group with 6 kids or so, I wasn't really excited. Luckily the kids were pretty well-behaved and the restaurant noise actually worked to our advantage since it all kind of blended away. Our server was attentive without being there constantly, which is a fine balance.
The food was absolutely delicious! We had the pretzel cheese curds for an app. The raspberry jalapeno sauce was absolutely perfect. I had the salmon dinner and my husband had the fish and chips. Both were incredible. We ended with some apple crisp and the s'mores brownies. I would definitely recommend the restaurant again, and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
I was really excited to try this place. I have had multiple people recommend it to me. My first impression was this place looks really cool. Tall ceilings with the brewers equipment visible. I was impressed! We were seated and created by our waiter. I was really excited to try the beers. I decided to get the 4 beer sampler, when trying to decide what beers I wanted. I asked the waiter what he thought of a certain beer. He pointed to the description sheet and said "you will find everything you need to know there, and I don't want to put my glasses on to have to read it to you".... I thought ok, maybe he isn't a beer guy. Not that big of a deal. My beer sampler arrives and the beers were great! I was impressed. I asked him if I could get a glass of water. Hey says "I put the exact number of waters on the table for everyone at the table. You already have one". Well at this point I was frustrated, and responded "I obviously wouldn't of asked for one if I already had one. Can I please get a water." He eventually brought me one. By this point his attitude and combative remarks ruined my impression of the brewery. I honestly think if I had another server that night I would of gave this place 5 stars across the board. Good beer, good food but a waiter with some issues.
If you go here, sit at the bar. The bartenders are great and take very good care of you! The food is unique for a brew house and the beer is great! A definite must!
All the grand kids found fun tasty things for supper.....as did the adults in our party. Our waiter Rich was great with our group of seven and with children changing their minds plus allergy considerations. We had a very nice Sunday evening family meal.
Had the Sunday brunch. Outstanding spread of entree’s and sides. The bread pudding French toast is fabulous!!
Great Location., craft beers, good food at a reasonable price. Just pop online to make reservations, a must on weekends.
The kitchen is super fast and, yet somehow the food is still excellent. We've always had great wait staff here.
Volleyball team. I don’t remember our waitresses name but she was amazing!!
Fun environment, good food, efficient staff
Great hand-crafted beer; tasty food with nice variety, salads and pizzas to comfort foods; love the old building ambience; super friendly and prompt service! An old market favorite, always recommended.
Food was overcooked and cold. we had calamari and it was so tough it was hard to eat. The shrimp were also overcooked and tough. the schnitzel was all crust no meat, potatoes were cold and the veggies were luke warm.
I spent almost $200 for the meal and came out very disappointed probably will never go back.
My friends and I came 30 minutes early to our reservation time, and they were able to accommodate us immediately. They were great with checking for my food allergy and prompt with service.
Manager and staff were very accommodating when we had a change to our party size.
Open table worked great....eliminated having to stand and wait for table. Lot more convenient.
Here you go:
-Our group showed up early but we still got right in.
-Our waiter was kind and very accommodating.
-Once we ordered our food was up in no time.
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and I'm glad I decided to book at upstream.
Made reservations for a Friday night and were seated within 5 minutes of our arrival. The entire staffs service was very friendly and prompt. As always, the food was amazing! I had the steak special and, oh my word, was it good! Would recommend to everyone!
Food and environment was great.
The menu’s are a bit rag tag n sticky.
Beer was great too.
Should try putting in beer from The 1st Street Brewing Co of Hastings NE.
Excellent experience and a wonderful beef tip grain bowl. Unique and delicious.
Great spot for a large group- we had 26 people and service was great- they even have a system for paying despite kids sitting at different tables...everyone gets a ticket, then parents can collect tickets for whomever they are paying for- worked out well!
Great food, great service although the manager that called to confirm was not pleased we made a reservation through open table and told me that she would not have allowed me to make a reservation had I called.
Took a group of 12 senior citizens for lunch before we went to the Orpheum Theatre to see the King and I.....had a marvelous time and good food. Waiter was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Had no problem with needing to do individual tickets for the group. We had 11:30 reservations and were seated promptly. Enjoyed a leisurely meal with plenty of time to load our van and head up the street to the show. This is our groups favorite place to eat if we are coming from Hastings to Omaha for a theatre experience. Thank you Upstream for always meeting and exceeding our expectations.
Always a great place to go when visiting Omaha Old Market.
Have 5 business partners and we dine this same time every year. These guys like the casual dining and there is more than enough menu choices to satisfy everyone. Everyone usually gets a steak and appetizers are top notch. Nice to test the seasonal brew beers available and try something different than the norm. We enjoy our meal and fellowship at Upstream Brewing Company.
food was average at best. Appetizers came cold. once the main course showed up, water, tea and beer beverages were not refilled or asked to be refilled. Really disappointed in the service and average food fare. I took a very good client here and even they were not 100% impressed. Upstream can learn a lot from Lazlo's or Granite City in Lincoln, NE.
