Upstream Brewing Company - Old Market Ratings and Reviews
Took a group of 12 senior citizens for lunch before we went to the Orpheum Theatre to see the King and I.....had a marvelous time and good food. Waiter was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Had no problem with needing to do individual tickets for the group. We had 11:30 reservations and were seated promptly. Enjoyed a leisurely meal with plenty of time to load our van and head up the street to the show. This is our groups favorite place to eat if we are coming from Hastings to Omaha for a theatre experience. Thank you Upstream for always meeting and exceeding our expectations.
Have 5 business partners and we dine this same time every year. These guys like the casual dining and there is more than enough menu choices to satisfy everyone. Everyone usually gets a steak and appetizers are top notch. Nice to test the seasonal brew beers available and try something different than the norm. We enjoy our meal and fellowship at Upstream Brewing Company.
food was average at best. Appetizers came cold. once the main course showed up, water, tea and beer beverages were not refilled or asked to be refilled. Really disappointed in the service and average food fare. I took a very good client here and even they were not 100% impressed. Upstream can learn a lot from Lazlo's or Granite City in Lincoln, NE.
This was my first time at a Upstream for the Sunday Brunch. We were celebrating my & a neighbors birthday & it was a good choice! Booth we were assigned was cozy & private & service was attentive. Food options & quality for the Buffett Brunch were outstanding! We will definitely return.
Usually have meals at Upstream that are good enough to have me come back on occasion, but I find it extremely difficult to forgive a brewery that knowingly serves their own beer flat, without having their staff communicate a warning to the consumer. I like to their there is a certain amount of pride for a place that brews their own beer, yet at least three different styles were delivered flat with no mention from the staff until we asked. In addition our food was pretty weak too. Yes they were fairly busy but nothing outside of a normal Saturday evening.
Casey server - funny guy. Very busy too.
Food served was not piping hot, so how long did it sit? Was it prepared well in advance? However both Salmon & angel hair pasta as well as the spicy pasta and blackened chicken were flavorful - meeting our expectations for tasty meals.
Beer selection was great.
Had a very nice meal and would certainly return again.
Used the OpenTable to reserve a spot a day in advance. After arriving we were told to wait in the lobby and hey would notify us when our table was ready. Thirty minutes after our reserved time slot and still no table, we again approached the hostess and she acted like they had no idea we were still waiting. At that time they did seat promptly (half an hour after the time we reserved). We also ordered an appetizer and it arrived at the same time as the rest of our order. Overall our experience wasn’t good and the staff seemed very unorganized. Not a great impression during our first visit to Upstream!
Great place to eat before shows/concerts. They take reservations and accommodate larger groups. The drinks and food came out very quickly, and they were really busy, but it took quite a while to get the bill and get it paid. We'll be back for the good food and drinks, atmosphere, and location!
First my husband's salad was made wrong, then he requested no gravy on his pot roast and it came covered in gravy. Some one else other than our waiter brought out our meal. My salmon was raw in the middle. I requested it to be well done. We had to track down our waiter as he never came by to see how our food was. When I sent back my salmon, that came back hot but my side's were now cold! The waiter also never refilled our drink unless we asked. On our bill we were charged for another salad that we didn't get. It just seemed like it was one thing after another.
Had a gift certificate someone had given us so we used it and visited the Upstream prior to our evening at the Omaha Symphony. Made an online reservation which was fantastic! We walked in and were seated immediately! Always a great place to dine. Have never had a bad meal at the Upstream.
Were seated right on time per our reservation at a table comfortable enough for the six of us. Very attentive waitress who handmade the blue cheese olives for my martini. Great menu selection from economical to somewhat expensive. All food turned out at the same time and tasted very good. Will definitely go again when visiting Omaha.
We normally love Upstream Old Market, but if this were our first visit, we wouldn't be back. The waitress brought the wrong beer but never checked on us to see if everything was okay. She also delivered our food but never checked back to see if we needed anything else; she only asked if we were ready for some boxes. The only person who even spoke with us (beyond taking our orders and asking about the boxes) was a bartender (maybe?) who stopped by our table on his way to the kitchen with a rack full of glasses. Nothing bad enough to consult management about, but definitely bad enough to throw what should've been a pleasant anniversary evening off. I think we will seek other brewpubs in the future.
Sunday brunch was wonderful - we will definitely return! Many food items were served in small portions which made it easier to try everything, which you will want to do as they offer items that are different from other Sunday brunches. Great atmosphere and service.
