Excellent brunch and service on Mother's day. Wish is wasn't closing!
We really like Upstream at Legacy and are very sad that's it's closing. I've never had a bad meal here. I will not go to the downtown location so this was our last Upstream visit. This location was more accessible and had free parking - a big plus. It's really too bad that they are closing this location. They have lost some satisfied customers.
We had a reservation and upon arrival we had to wait for the table to be set even though the restaraunt was mostly empty. The buffet line was poorly stocked with many items almost empty. Wait staff seemed to not care.
There are so few restaurants where you can make a reservation anymore. Upstream has never let us down when we try to gather our family together for a birthday meal. Our experience was the best on Tuesday night for my mom's 97th birthday! We had a very sweet and attentive server who catered to the kids and to everybody else. The food was wonderful and everybody found something on the menu that they liked. My mom was even given a choice for a birthday dessert so she took home a piece of bread pudding! That made her day! She said she hadn't had bread pudding for years so was thrilled to take a piece home.
I highly recommend Upstream to small groups and large. They handle it all very well!!
We very much enjoyed our Easter Brunch. Relaxed and enjoyable. Food was great and service was great. I'm sad this restaurant will be leaving our area.
I love this restaurant and am so sad it will be closing soon. I love the menu with its veggie friendly foods! Best space and menus!
Great brunch buffet
Tasty as always, Upstream never disappoints. Service was great.
The food was amazing. A little loud to have meaningful conversation, but even if it were quiet there probably wouldn't be a lot of meaningful conversation. Service was great even with the place being very busy. The Reuben sandwich is the best around!!!!.
Casual feel with great food. Appreciated that our family gathering of 8 was seated at a round table and felt welcome to linger a bit after dinner. Wait staff remained friendly and attentive
very good service the food was good and beer was great.
Service was very slow for lunch and there were many open tables
Went with family as they opened at 11 for lunch. We were able to get a table and the waitress was attentive to what we needed. She also made sure our daughter had plenty to occupy her at the table. Their pale ale was fantastic.
Pleasant surprise to find Monday kids eat free and there was a magician there.
Had a party of 6. Everyone's dish was fabulous. I have never been disappointed with Upstream - Legacy.
Everything was good but the fish and chips were very greasy and too much breading.
After trying to find a table for 13 on Saturday afternoon at 3 to celebrate my daughter in law's birthday, we were very successful at Upstream and they welcomed us with open arms and fabulous service and very tasty food! Many places would not take a reservation and when I attempted to do call ahead seating or discuss a table we were refused a table or discouraged from trying their establishments. When you try to plan ahead you are told you can not but when you follow their rules, you can't get in because your group is too big. I don't understand that concept at all. Upstream allowed us to dine and were so friendly about us being there. The server was welcoming, competent and catered to everybody from my 96 year old mom to the kids ages 9 to 3. Our meal selections were savory and I know that because the little kids ate about every bite and that rarely happens. We shared our birthday treats with the server which made her smile. We will definitely hold more family events at Upstream.
The last time we were there was a week before my Dad passed away in late June and they really made every effort to help him find foods that tasted good to him. And, they compromised on the Sunday brunch price as he only ate a couple things off the buffet. They are a winning establishment for sure!
The menu has a wide variety with many choices that appeal to my tastes. Although this is my first visit to this location, I have always found great food and service at Upstream.
Tables need to be spread out
It was very busy but we were seated as soon as we walked in. Kind of noisy with people but since it's so near to the holidays, it was fun. It took a while to get our drinks to us, but after that everything was timely. The waitress was friendly and not stressed. The food was very good.
I had wonderful beef stroganoff and my husband had jambalaya. We both left with "happy
Diverse menu choices; diverse beer and wine choices, wait staff service was great.
Had great service and the food was wonderful. Love the cucumber salad.
The food at Upstream was affordable and very tasty. I was very pleased with our server, who was very attentive to our table and made great recommendations.
Most of the food was good except the two people who got pizza said theirs was cold. Our party reservations grew and they had no problem seating us. I ordered a Strawberry Mango Margarita which was really good but they didn't tell me until my second one that the two flavors together were $2.00 more. They made it right for me on the bill. One guest had the trout and said it was outstanding. Another guest had the beer Cheese Gueda soup and said the same thing. So I would recommend this restaurant!
They indicated they didn't have a reservation for us
The Reuben was amazing, and our server was great. Having been a waitress previously I have high expectations and they were met.
Desserts not high quality
We had an OpenTable reservation at 7:15pm and did not get sat until 7:50. My kids were starving, so I requested that their food be brought out as soon as possible (it was just Mac&Cheese). The adult entrees arrived five minutes before the kids'. Staff seem very disorganized.
Waitress was not the best. She took forever to take our order. She was not super friendly and we were seated first and she took the other table's order before ours.
Very disappointed in the fish and chips lunch meal. Two very small "nuggets" of fish and very small portion of fries. NOT what one would expect when ordering a lunch meal in the $11 range. Would not recommend lunch at Upstream to any of my friends because the value is just not there. Made for a disappointing birthday lunch.
Beers were weak (not much flavor) so went with whiskeys. Food was mediocre...greasy, fatty. Service was okay. Unimpressed.
Food was good, everyone was served what they ordered and the waitress was accommodating, pleasant and skilled.
I several hours prior to our reserved time to add 1 more person to our party and was told it wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived we were told there wasn'tenough room and tried to make us sit at a crowded table. It wasn't until about 15min later I asked if they could add a smaller table to give us more space, which they did. It was frustrating.
I was pretty unimpressed with the service this time...I had friends come from 2 hours away to join me for a birthday dinner. Our server couldn't keep our drinks full & we waited an hour and a half for our entrees. No manager came to talk with us & the only person who apologized to us was the hostess because we asked them for our tab after they told us to have a good night.
On a positive note- open table was a very easy way to book our reservation.
We had a wonderful experience for our family on Sunday!! There are varying tastes and likes and dislikes but we found the menu perfect for all of those challenges! Our server was spectacular and very accommodating! My 95 year old father can hardly wait to return to try something else but if we come on a Sunday, biscuits and gravy will his choice! He thought they were some of the best he has ever had!
The table next to us thought they were at a tailgate and were a bit disruptive and out of control but they left half way thru our dining experience and we all clapped! Some people just shouldn't dine in public!
The Legacy Upstream Brewing restaurant is a bit pricey for steaks, but the burgers and chicken were right inline with almost all other sit down restaurants. The food was excellent. If you've never tried a guacamole burger and you like guacamole, I highly recommend this. It has a little zing to it, but no more than mild salsa. I was skeptic, but I wanted to try something new and I was not disappointed. I also recommend the fries with a side of honey mustard as a dipping sauce. We sat in the upper level and will request this again! Excellent place to dine. We will go back soon!
Our server, Ryan, was the best part of the meal. Very friendly and attentive. Their lightest beer was very good. I had the veggie burger which was pretty good. It was a little mushy so I'd recommend they improve the recipe on that a little bit to make it more solid.
For Fathers Day brunch I though the buffet would look better. We arrived at 12:15. The buffet had been over-run by others and food supply had almost run out on some items. Buffet was messy with utensils sticky from food. Gross. Thought food selection could of been better. The chicken was completely dries out. I realize it's hard to hold and keep warm/moist. But maybe this is where another option would be better. Our omelet that were made to order were completely over-cooked. Overcooked eggs=gross! Same guy making omlelets was cutting meat. He was very stressed. Maybe one station for him would be best for all.
Over-all an ok experience but with the quality of buffet compared to price, will be a long time if ever that we will go back. It's too bad as the restaurant is a nice place
It was decent - the hostess was impartial, waitress was good, we were seated in quiet area. I was disappointed in food -- the beer was good.
We haven't been to Upstream in a year or two. We decided it was time to go back. We set a reservation and did not wait at all. We had very timely service. When dinner came out and one of our meals was completely wrong the waitress was very professional and told us the manager bought us a dessert! It ended up being a very great date night and I would go back and recommend to anyone else!
