What Insiders Are Saying
Universally appealing, consistently excellent, and one of our favorite places in all of NYC.
Great girls dinner!
Service was slow and food was overpriced. I may have just ordered the wrong thing.
We had a late rez for brunch so nice snd quiet Great food but portions should be larger, nice room
Our waiter completely forgot to bring us our doughnuts (the main draw!). By the time he reappeared, a decent amount of time had passed. He also had our meals, so I didn’t mention it. Another reason I didn’t bring it up: I wanted to leave sooner rather than later, since by that time, my dining companion and I were seated next to a table for two, who saw a friend and invited him over, despite the fact that they had finished eating and there wasn’t room for him to sit comfortably. He sat sandwiched on a leather bench between me and his friend (very uncomfortable) and had a leisurely catch up with them for at least 45 minutes. (Can’t say the precise time, as we left first. Even though we arrived later.) Not an experience I’m itching to repeat, sadly.
Dined with my family while visiting NYC on Easter weekend. Food and service were great, would avoid espresso / coffee and pick one up before or after next time. Beautifully decorated restaurant. Would go back for sure.
Mom and daughter weekend
Consistently great experience. The burger is always the best bet.
Salmon over cooked. But they didn’t charge us which is to their credit. Wine list excellent as was sommelier.
Average food yet highly overpriced.
I really love this place
Great birthday dinner! They only had 1 bottle left of the white wine that we picked. A reasonable French White. The French red which was a bit more expensive was incredible. Domaine Bonnardot Santenay 2016. Bucatini and papardelle were prepared perfectly and all of the mains were delicious. The scallops were large, but 3 for a main seemed small. Overall a great place to go for a special occasion or if someone else is paying the tab!
We enjoyed all of our food. Waiter was very nice and everything came out in a timely manner.
Big fan of Upland, always a great experience. Consistent food and service makes this a go-to!
Pizza selection is creative. Appetizers and pizzas are better than in my opinion; however, I will give it a more try on the entree’s. Definitely would go back for the pizza 🤗
Very pleasant time, excellent food, waiter really kind.
Only downside was the hostess: very rude, the table was ready and didn’t let my date to sit while waiting for me, wouldn’t look you in the eye, didn’t offer to collect our coats, practically threw them when giving them back. Probably not in a good day, but definitely wasn’t a nice way to start out night!
Been here 10-12 times in the past, always a nice experience.
This experience was terrible. Service was disappointing, took 24 minutes to get a waiter. They were out of our normal foods, we ordered alternatives and they were terrible. Greasy, oily fried and not good at all.
Delicious, fun and special - we want to return ASAP!!
Good ingredients but everything was over salted / overly sugary / too much vinegar so didn’t love it
Brunch is always so perfect! Great food and great service.
Brunch was a pretty much perfect experience -- we were 20 minutes late for our reservation, but they didn't give us any trouble, and our waitress was awesome. Loved the ambience, loved the food (especially the quiche and the little gem salad), and was pleased that the bill was actually similar to any old brunch in the city -- but much better quality than other places! Will be back.
One word....YUM!!! All around.
The space between tables was so small that because of the loudness of the conversations by both tables on either side of us, it was impossible to have a conversation of our own. Screaming, high pitched half drunken ladies ruined our night out.
The wine we ordered arrived half way through our first course but staff was friendly enough and the food is nice. The evening was ruined however and if this restaurant chooses to cramp in as many customers as possible, they will sacrifice the comfort of its customers and we will not be back nor recommend it.
Winelist of excellent breadth with availability across price points from $50 to $5000.
Interesting menu options. Some work, some don't... Cacio e pepe was excellent.
Gorgeous restaurant. Inspired food. Prices a little high, but worth it.
Love it. The host is amazing. Great food and service every time
Great service, tasty food. Great location for a work lunch.
Amazing beef tartare! Veal was excellent and so was the papardelle. Thank you for making my birthday even more special.
Everything and everyone was terrific. And they didn’t push us out at all!
All brunch food served cold even though should have been hot. Cold eggs, cold bacon, cold burger.
The food was no good this time. Really spicy vongele, which is ruining a good pasta dish. A so-called caesar salad without romano, but tonns of lemon. Really sour. Also had to Wait 45 minutes for reserved table.
Some very good dishes. Not the best or most friendly service. While it was enjoyable, it definitely isn't worth repeat visits.
Great spot, large and roomy which is hard in NY. Food didn't blow us away but we would come back to explore the menu more. Great cocktails and fun bar. Awesome ambiance.
Loved the decor, but was disappointed by the food. We attended Saturday brunch. The Margherita pizza was a bit salty. The spaghettini was unexpectedly spicy but overall good. Mimosa was great. Price point could be lower for the quality of the food.
Best bloody Mary and friend chicken sandwich I've ever had. Reasonably priced
One of my favorite lunch spots in NYC. Its incredible.
This was my second time et upland. The food was too spicy and heavy handed.Service was nice.
The noise level got better as people were leaving the place.
That will be my last tile there.
Amazing as always
