They were out of several entrees we ordered .amd then we’re out of 2 wines we chose .
Es un restaurante casual, con menú corto pero platillos ricos
Fun dinner spot right in the heart of The Village. The Elk and the New England Clam Chowder were out of this world!
Great wine list too.
absolutely fabulous restaurant with friendly and professional staff
Up the Creek is a hidden gem in the heart of Vail! The food, service and view of the river are all wonderful.
One of our favorite Vail spots. Had the most amazing strip steak. Everything was tasty. Up the Creek is a famiy oriented place with upscale food and service. Also a nice spot for lunch looking out on the river.
Wonderful restaurant with great staff and great food. Don’t forget to order the Gouda mac & cheese Which will change your life. The restaurant is kid friendly and the setting is beautiful.
This was not our first time at UTC, and, as always, we were delighted with our meal. The salads were outstanding, as were the entrees (scallops and salmon). The aroma of truffle tries from the adjacent table was incredible, but we resisted the temptation this time. We’ll be back!
Elk was the best - needed / wanted more
Almost airways reliable with excellent friendly service. Food was a little off this last visit (I guess due to the large birthday party group). Salad had no dressing in it. Salmon was over cooked (supposed to be medium) and fishy. We’ll still go back.
Great location. Super popular and busy. They close early. A little tricky to find. Food was their winter menu. Elk was very good.
Excellent dinner in a beautiful environment!
Consistent restaurant with notable salmon dish, lovely puréed pear martini (another, please) and rich, gooey chocolate cake. Every year we enjoy this restaurant without disappointment.
A foyer for waiting diners would nice, rather than standing over eating patrons while waiting for your table would be our main dislike.
Up the Creek is a favorite for our family when ever we visit Vail. Never disappointed!
I have been coming to their restaurant for at least 10 years, I Liv coming back here. The food is always wonderful and the service is great.
Excellent food. Our server was great. We had a great experience. Will definitely return next time we visit Vail!!
Great food , great service and a very nice location looking out on the ice sculptures
Have been several times and eill go back.
It was a busy Saturday night so there was a bit of a wait but the staff handled it well. Our server, Jesse, was excellent, and, despite the busy restaurant, remembered the birthday at our table without being reminded. Very nice! Try to get a table away from the front door to avoid cold drafts.
Outstanding clam chowder, truffle fries and Reuben.
We go to Vail every year and Up the Creek is our most frequented restaurant. We went twice this visit. The scallops are to die for and the last time we went I had the short rib. Delicious! I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorite salad is the Arugula with pears. Definitely add this restaurant to your list of musts.
One of the really good Vail restaurants, with creative entrees, friendly service, and good atmosphere.
Excellent food. Everything was perfect. Don’t think that you can just drop in here - you will need a reservation
Great cocktails! The entire meal was remarkable. We tried the arugula, beet and organic salads - all on point. We followed up with the braised short rib, trout and salmon; again all winners. Year after year we have up the creek on our list of places to dine during our annual trip to Vail - never disappoints.
Fantastic food! The trout was delicious!
My wife and I had a very nice dinner at Up The Creek this week. The food was excellent and the service was great. Two thumbs up!
The decor and presentation was lacking. The food would’ve gotten a higher review had the presentation been improved. We were excited to try a new place in Vail, and were sadly disappointed. We heard the lunch is better....
A delicious menu with a gorgeous setting on Gore Creek. We had the soup of the day, an arugula salad, and mains of lamb chops and elk - both cooked to perfection and with creative complements. I had the elk, which was on a bed of risotto and brussel sprouts. Oh, did I mention their cocktails and wine?!? I had the ginger beet martini which is to die for, not too sweet. They also have a fantastic and well rounded wine list. Their dessert choices were mouth watering, but we behaved ourselves and shared three delicious scoops of lemon sorbet, vanilla ice cream and salted caramel ice cream (OK, almost behaved ourselves)
A good value unpretentious restaurant that we enjoy returning to every year. I've always wanted to come back in the summer and sit on the patio at lunch as you're right got on Gore Creek
Service was excellent. Chef cooked lamb chops perfectly. Will definitely be back on next trip to Vail
Short rib and Mac and cheese was amazing. Calamari appetizer is a skip. Trout was very good
Absolutely the worst $300 meal in my life. Overpriced, average food, with very average service.
Excellent service, delicious food and great ambience with views of Gore Creek. Highly recommend!
Best restaurant in Vail village. Service is great. The food is excellent. Good selection of wine list. Everything in the menú is delicious The owner are full time in the business, everything is alway excellent.
Food and service were excellent. The ambiance was nice, but very loud on the night we dined there due to multiple large parties with kids.
we had an awesome dining experience. my wife and I had a delicious meal on our first trip to vail co. resevation was easy food was really good and they have kids menu which always helps for us since we have a 3 y.o daughter.
Service and location were excellent, food was fine
It was the best meal ever. We so enjoyed the the food, ambience and the great service. We will be back when in Vail. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Longtime favorite. Perfect for an intimate dinner for two or a larger gathering with friends. The entees can be a bit on the heavy side - but a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a crisp salad are perfect for a lighter meal. We always get the peach cobbler for dessert. Enjoy!
