It was a good time! Even in a blizzard the DJ still had the room vibing!
Food was great. Flatbread was excellent. Food was served very expediently. Waiter started out kind of low key but ended up peppy towards the end.
Excellent drinks. Clam chowder and apple salad. Highly recommend
A group of ten of us met to celebrate the scientific association Presidency of a colleague. We had fun! The food was really good, the service attentive, and we enjoyed being on the rooftop!
10/10. Everything was great. Super cool spot for brunch. Will be back.
Food options for brunch on the roof are few, so you'd think they'd be able to really do those few things well — but no. Basic bacon & eggs breakfast was average, cold toast. Had to ask for jam … I wanted a sunny birthday brunch for my friend, but felt embarrassed I had suggested this place. Maybe it is better downstairs, but I won't be back to find out.
Good food. Decently priced for downtown. Sunday brunch was roughly $12-16/plate and mimosas were 1 for $8 or bottomless for $15... can't really go wrong with the bottomless. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Clean dining area. Sunday brunch DJ. Fairly loud environment, but I liked it!
Our meal was absolutely fantastic, but our waiter was almost nonexistent. Never came back to check on us or get us drinks.
Very great! Food was amazing! I had a great time celebrating my 21 birthday! The only thing that was a bit frustrating was that I reserved seating 3 weeks beforehand and we still had to wait about 30 minutes before we were able to be seated.
The food was excellent, well worth the price. The service was good and while it was a little loud, we were still able to carry on a conversation without shouting. On top of that, even on a cold day, the sun shining through the glass roof was warm and inviting. We will be back.
We had a wonderful server who had great recommendations. The clam chowder was amazing, as was the tiramisu. The rooftop was less noisy than the restaurant downstairs. The martini was delicious. We will definitely go back.
I love the rooftop, even in cold Minnesota springs. Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Very fun busy evening with everyone buzzing.
Probably more enjoyable during the summer months. Inclement weather prevented the outdoor patio being utilized. Sound levels were high; difficult to carry on a conversation. Should have brought sunglasses. Blinding sun had us all squinting & trying to shade our eyes, Because of the glass enclosure, it was extremely hot. In summary, food and service were good. Ambiance not so great!
Our server, Mark, made wonderful suggestions. The food was fabulous. The service was excellent. And we loved the birthday surprise.
We were completely ignored by the wait staff. 15 minutes in someone did fill our water glasses. We left shortly after.
Way too expensive for the value of the meal. Went for Easter brunch and was way overpriced, not great food and only decent service. Overall thumbs down, except the rooftop was warm and sunny.
The staff was accommodating when 3 of us out of 10 had to pull out due to a medical emergency. Our friends who did go had a wonderful experience and loved the food and the view.
Came here for a bachelorette dinner... everything was incredible. Food, service, atmosphere... all amazing. Thanks again!
Food was excellent. Too loud on rooftop. Not very cozy. Prefer the main level. Service was excellent.
While the food was good, it was so noisy that we had a hard time hearing each other at our table. Might be a great place if you don't want to talk to anyone or if you love to shout.
Excellent food and service only issue was elevator was out of service so 3 flights of stairs to manage
We reserved a table for 9 -and it was ready and waiting for our group when we arrived. Our wait-staff was very friendly, efficient and attentive. Everyone had wonderful food and portions were plentiful. We were able to celebrate an upcoming birthday with a lovely chocolate dessert!
Went to Union for a friend's birthday dinner, and could not have had more fun! We got the truffle fries, cheese board, and brussel sprouts to split with the table, DELICIOUS! My boyfriend and I split the Fennel sausage flat bread, and the goat cheese and sweet peppers were the perfect touch! The cocktails were strong, views were great, and the server was very attentive. They brought out desserts with sparklers in them for our friend, which was a very nice touch as well!
Fish and chips were good. Squash ravioli with cauliflower was fantastic! Macaroni and cheese was a little bland. All in, very nice.
Love the roof top, great employees and love how fast you get a table with a reservation.
Went for my sisters birthday and it was awesome! Very pricey but the atmosphere is great, food was above good, and dessert was yum!
Was not liking it at all! Will tell all my friends as well
Great service and good food but tables were very close together and it was very loud
Noisey food only fair, my wife got sick when we got home.
Would not recomend.
I have eaten at Union rooftop several times. My meals are consistently good. I typically go for more simple fare. (Pasta, flatbread, fish & chips). My husband had the filet and would not recommend it. A draw back is the noise level when the roof isn’t open. There is nothing to absorb the sound, so not an appropriate location for deep conversation.
Loved the food. Our server was excellent. She stopped by often but not too often.
We will be back.
Thanks.
appetizers excellent! dinner was on the flat side--Volcano Pork Shank w/sweet potato spratzle, bacon, Brussel sprouts and spiced apple gastrique--sounded awesome--pork shank was great--but just had cut up apples, a few pieces of cut up potatoes and couple pieces of bacon and undercooked Brussel sprouts--bummer
My peers got the Sea Bass -- and suggested it was great!
unique place--I'd try it again--just lean into the seafood--
Great food and space. Loved the people and table setting
I would not go back here for dinner with friends as it's almost impossible to have a normal conversation. Throughout dinner, I felt like I was at a night club. Fodder is decent, our server Tyler was great.
Great food, great vibe in a great setting
Very fun evening. Great service & food.
Fun place! Our first time. It was for my daughter's 21st b'day. We had Mark as our server. He was great! He even made us a complementary cocktail to toast her day. I had the Lobster Mac n Cheese. It was wonderful. Enjoyed the birthday dessert w/the surprise🎉 😁. Thank you for such a memorable evening.
Our server, Erica, was one of the best servers we have EVER had. She made great recommendations for cocktails to start. When we ordered our appetizer and entrees, she made adjustments to make sure that I, as a vegetarian, was covered. The food was delicious, but Erica put our dining experience over the top.
Not sure if I would recommend for a two person date because we were placed right next to the speaker which made it hard to hear and talk, but a group of 3 or 4 or more would be an awesome brunch! The music is always on point. Although one of our plates did have a really big eggshell, the server took care of that really quickly! Really enjoyed the service and had a good time regardless of the little things. Would come back again!
Good food, good service, GREAT view and GREAT people watching. This place is LOUD so be prepared for that. It is a ton of fun, but if you're looking forward to catching up with long lost friends or a quiet conversation this isn't the place for you. If you are energetic, spirited, and up for entertainment factor, this is your spot.
Other drawback was we felt pressured to leave before we were even seated. We get it - brunches are busy and people have a tendency to linger. We appreciate the head's up that you'll ask us to leave if we stay longer than 90 minutes, but honestly it wasn't busy enough (several open tables and an almost empty floor downstairs) to warrant it and it kind of made us feel unwelcome.
