It was waaaay too loud. The food was good but the MUSIC was too loud.
The rooftop was awesome & had great views, but the food was just okay. We probably wouldn’t return unless it was just for apps & happy hour. The food wasn’t worth it in our opinion - Very spendy and we weren’t raving over it. The servers were great & very kind - no issue there. Just overpriced.
Music was very loud so it was hard to have a conversation. Food was uninspiring for Easter brunch. Cocktails were average. Great view from the open rooftop.
The service was excellent and socially distant even with many guests! I highly recommend trying their weekend specials if there is an opportunity. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty.
Super fun!
Great roof top setting. Great staff. Average to below average food quailty
90 minute limit which sucks but super fun place and music was great
Love the rooftop, they had part of it open with fresh air coming in. Food was great, except for me, the fries, the flavor of the truffle fries is great, but they aren’t crispy. Friendly service!
Enjoy the weather and feel safe! Ps love the music!
Best brunch spot with the best music :)
Love the Union!!! It’s a vibe every weekend.
Found a piece of chicken skin and breast bone in my wife's chicken salad. The chef came out to the table to apologize and removed the item from our bill. Service was fine but not ever going back. Funky entrance downstairs in closed down main level bar that looks abandoned. 1 star at best
A "must" experience for anyone living in or visiting Minnesota. The environment alone is worth eating there, but it helps that the food and portions are also worth the price.
Definitely fun for a girls brunch. Loud music so if you’re on a date keep that in mind. Food is delicious and service is great! Make sure you have a reservation for a quick sit down.
It took over 15 minutes for someone to come to our table when we first got there to take our orders and we ordered bottomless mimosas and they were bottomless 70% of the time.
Always a great vibe. Great food and great music.
Tables were not six feet apart. Not Covid friendly.
Popped in for a drink with a friend on a Friday evening. Fantastic atmosphere and great options. Highly recommend!
Great spot with a view. Service was awesome.
Booked a reservation here on OpenTable over two weeks ago. Was asked a few days before to confirm we were attending. Our party showed up only to find out the location is closed. We made the reservation and came from California and was looking forward to eating here. I don’t know who to blame, restaurant or OpenTable. They are still taking reservations for this week as well. I truly hope people call before showing up.
It wasn’t open. Don’t take reservations for times you aren’t open. This isn’t hard.
It was closed but you can still make reservations. Not ok.
You were closed ):
After reserving a table weeks in advance and confirming my reservation the day before, we showed up and it was closed. No courtesy call, no cancelled reservation, no message when we called standing outside the door, it was just closed. This was supposed to be a big surprise, so I was very disappointed.
It was a great first experience! I’m not from Minneapolis, but my boyfriend is and has never been to Union. We sat on the rooftop and had a great waiter. It started to sprinkle a bit and they were quick to pull out the canopy and carry our food to another table. Our waiter even gave us a free dessert to cure our troubles. Overall a really great experience and hope to be back soon.
Great drinks, great food, I loved the lobster Mac and cheese!
It was fun and s great spot for a casual dinner
I came for Sunday brunch and they had a live dj that made it so much fun and made you want to dance in your seat. I’m pescatarian and the tofu scramble was zesty and tasteful! Definitely recommend.
Excellent food, been there several times. The music selection for Sunday morning brunch was in very poor taste....
Awesome food, service, and atmosphere! Wonderful place to go for a birthday dinner.
Best food we’ve had in a long time. Waygu steak was outstanding and the demi glaze was perfect. Turtle cake another homerun
Fast and great service, amazing food and an awesome view!
Service was great-however, the food was disappointing. For the price of the food, one would expect better quality.
We went there for a special occasion and asked for the table at the corner of Hennepin and 8th when I made the reservation. The restaurant honored the request. The food and service were perfect. A great evening.
If you remember to bring sunglasses, you’ll absolutely love your time at the Union Rooftop. All of the staff is incredibly friendly and the lobster mac was AMAZING.
Union Rooftop is a favorite of ours! Such a unique space, great food, fun staff and good energy!
The overall atmosphere and view of the rooftop was beautiful. The food seemed a bit overpriced for the quality and portion but was still tasty. We had a reservation for 8:30 and it seemed we were a bit rushed to order before the kitchen and bar closed, and we were asked to head downstairs before our 90 minutes were up.
Everything wasn’t good at all. The service the food
Eggs Benedict had an egg shell in it, the yolks were hard, and bread was stale tasing. I’ve been to this place for dinner and liked it before but the normal eggs and toast breakfast is very expensive for poorly cooked eggs. They did give us something else but overall everyone agreed it wasn’t a good/worth the money experience.
Got seated right under the shelter by the bathrooms. It was very loud and hard to hear and humid under the half-roof. For the amount that we spent at Union, the rest of the experience was definitely not worth it. Probably won’t be going back.
