Painstaking attention was paid to every detail, from restoring the building’s original architectural treasures to installing the one-of-a-kind retractable rooftop. UNION has engaged a talented culinary team that holds themselves to the highest standards, ensuring every dish is special, surprising, and cohesive. We have created a menu that can be experienced in just the right proportions, from an elegant snack before the theater, to a celebratory 5-course tasting menu featuring ingredients that change daily.

It was way too expensive for what it is worth. I paid a total of $20 for the French toast. I was still hungry after I ate. The portions are small and don’t taste that great. Service wasn’t the best either. Also didn’t do anything for the birthday in our group.
We made a reservation for 6:15 pm. We were going to an 8 pm concert. We did not get a table until 6:30. Our table was next to the windows. It was so cold we had to wrap up in our jackets. We ordered Manhattan steaks which were filled with gristle. Our server was great and management took one steak off our bill. We don't plan to go back.
Good before the show dining venue.
It's a really unique place to eat when you sit up in the rooftop level. Friendly servers and a pretty solid menu. My wife and I went there for a Sunday brunch where the restaurant had a DJ spinning music. It was a tad too loud for our taste. Kind of wish we sat on the main floor where it was much quieter.
Service was great. Food was mediocre, music was too load - difficult to chat. Probably would not return.
The food and service was great, nice space but it was a little chilly. flatbread and root vegetable dish were very good.
Even though we were seated at the opposite end of the DJ it was difficult to hear each other talk. The food was delicious and staff very accommodating!
Great location/view! Food was spectacular, everything recommended was awesome. Desserts were divine! Not noisy, no loud tv's, so it's quieter if less people and as it filled up more conversations - but not overly loud music/tv noise. So it was very comfortable. Will go back again!
The good and service were very good. It was a little cold and crowed, I also had a broken chair when you leaned back you almost fell. The food and service made up for down sides!
The view was great, the food and the service was good. Unfortunately, they do NOT offer happy hour on the roof. We were informed the main floor was closed, meaning they don't have Happy Hour at all, even though their website shows a happy hour menu. So, while the food and drinks were good, they are overpriced...
Lovely waitress, great food and fantastic wine.
I indicated on my reservation that it was a special occasion & requested a table near the windows. My request was not fulfilled, instead they sat us near the kitchen and bathroom. I asked if we could move & they moved us next to the window, which I appreciated. Come to find out, there was a horrible draft by the window so we literally froze throughout the dinner. The waitress was rude & rushed us into ordering, & then our food arrived cold. I was not impressed at all...
Great dining experience overall. Awesome view of the city at night, comfortable even in the winter by the glass. Fast and good service. However the food was average. I was expecting better. The creme brulee was amazing however the main course not so much.
I am not a fan of restaurants that I can't see what I am eating. We did dinner and the lighting was very light so it was hard to see what I was eating. The food was average at best. I had the pork chop and my wife had the walleye. It was our first and last time going here. I am don't go to places for over $100 for dinner for two and it being average at best.
The steak was amazing, but the mashed potatoes were cold and my salad had too much dressing. The tres leches cake was phenomenal! It is chilly on the rooftop in winter, enough that I wished I had a scarf.
The service was slow, The room was so cold are feet and hands were freezing, unimpressed with the meal
Sunday Brunch on our way out of town. DJ, super loud with a very energetic vibe. If you were looking for a low key place, this ain’t it. View was ok, but not as good as I thought it would be. Service was outstanding!! Food was super yummy!!
Brunch for a group of 8 people.
At least 3 of the meals were less than hot. We also got a wine glass with a nice lipstick print on it.
Just so you know. We will be back.
It was wonderful thank you
I think we had the worst table in the place. We were continuously bumped. The prices are outrageous when compared to the ambiance. It’s very loud. It’s not in anyway fancy. Yet the fees are that of what you would expect at a steak/lobster quiet dining experience.
We planned a date night weeks in advance to visit Rooftop before a show. Arrived at an odd reception line at the door to learn that the entire venue had been reserved for some company's function that night, but no one had let us know our reservation wouldn't be honored. The restaurant manager stepped in to arrange a reservation at Crave a block away where we were comped a great meal. Their customer service to resolve a rough situation was much appreciated, but not sure we'd risk reserving a table at Rooftop again.
Service great, food great. Restaurant does not look like photo online. Disappointing. Music was way way way too loud and majorly annoying. Server couldn’t even hear us and to try to make conversation at the table with each other was not going to happen. Not a good atmosphere for Sunday morning brunch. Friday or Saturday at the club, yes, but not for brunch. We won’t be back.
Cool site with glass retractable roof. We did have to wait while manager borrowed a high chair from a nearby restaurant. ( I guess they only have one and we needed two). We had Sunday brunch and it was great food with a dj spinning at Sunday brunch. We loved that but some guests did not.
Seated immediately and service was prompt and attentive. City views with an open airy feel, while protected from the chilly temps outdoors! Food was amazing...cajun crabby eggs benedict was perfection. Not sure what time the entertainment started...DJ appeared to be setting up as we were leaving. Perfect venue for family brunch or reconnecting with an old friend. Highly recommend making a reservation for Sunday Brunch!
It was a bit chilly in the restaurant and our server took awhile to fill our glasses and did not check back often. It was not incredibly busy. The food was okay.
Dinner before concert with my daughter. Food is so good. We sat by an outside window so it was a little cool. Lots of people there having a good time.
When we arrived for our reservation the kitchen was closed.
I made our reservations through Open Tsble several weeks in advance and after speaking to someone at Union Rooftop. The day before I received an email with the managers nsme confirming our reservations. 3 hours before the reservation I received a call from the restaurant saying they were booked for a private event and canceling our reservations. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was busy.
First time on the rooftop for dinner. It was great! Felt special and our server was outstanding.
The rooftop is a very cool area. I went with a group of eight women and we had a great time. Some people liked their food and some people didn’t. I’d stay away from the stirfry. I had sirloin and it was delicious.
My walleye entree arrived 10 minutes after the other three arrived. The fish was so undercooked that I could not cut it with my fork. I could not see it since the restaurant is too dark. I sent it back and asked the waitress what I could get quickly since everyone else was done eating. I settled on chicken wings that were ok. Someone came to the table and said the chef agrees the fish was underdone (raw). Really! The bill came and I was not billed for the fish but was for the wings. I was more than fair with the waitress but don’t think the restaurant handled this well. I won’t be returning.
Waaaay too loud. Food was pretty much hot or miss with the table. Waiter only refilled coffee once and was generally not friendly. I wish it was a better experience because I really wanted to like this place.
The music was too loud -- could barely hold a conversation. The food was overpriced and not very good. I ordered a hot tea, but it was lukewarm to cool when they finally brought it to me. Not worth the money.
We really enjoyed both the food and atmosphere here. It was a balmy late October evening and it was lovely eating under an open sky with the twinkling lights of the city as a backdrop. The food was delicious. My husband especially loved the roasted chicken dish. Service was gracious but a little slow.
Food & drinks were good, but quite expensive. I enjoyed the loud dj but my friends thought it was too loud to have a conversation.
Food was amazing server was great! Music was just a bit loud however we forgot it was pre Vikings
Favorite brunch place!! EVERYTHING IS GOOD!! Food, drinks, music!!
We had so much fun for my birthday. The ambiance was perfect!
The food was awesome! It was a bit cold by the window and very loud but great service except didn’t refill water.
We always have a great time at Union Rooftop and the best service. Would highly recommend it to anyone!
