Across from the ocean, this elegant dining room serves classic American food with a special touch. Union Park Dining Room received New Jersey Monthly Magazine's 2005 thru 2015 Critics Choice Award as one of the best restaurants in New Jersey. Working his magic behind the scenes, chef John Schatz has overseen the kitchens of some sophisticated eateries in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area, including the former Maureen's in Cape May. The large, spacious dining rooms with their fireplaces, cherry & mahogany furniture & antique fixtures are romance personified. Settle in for a memorable meal.

Located in the historic hotel Macomber, Union Park Dining Room is available for both casual and elegant parties, receptions, special occasion dinners and complete weddings. Our facility can host groups up to 125 people, depending on the type of reception you desire. The Hotel Macomber with its 36 guest rooms will be happy to provide accommodations for your guest. Our events generally include one and a half hour of buttered Hors d`oeuvres, followed by a sit-down dinner. We also offer a wide variety of extras to satisfy everyone’s specific needs. Chef Schatz could create a custom menu upon request. No liquor license, local wine available.

Went for NYE, 2 couples. Pre-fix menu with several great choices, after the amuse bouche at the server's recommendation table ordered the lobster bisque, it was as good as she said. For the appetizer course we order gnocchi, scallop ceviche, and a trio of tartare, all 3 were very good. For the main course two of us had twin petite lobster tails over lobster risotto, perfect. The main dishes were beef filet and duck confit. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered and very well presented. I felt one of the best pre-fix menus I have ever had!

Union Park for New Year's Eve was 10/10 in all areas. The food was fabulous. Our server was friendly and knowledgeble. Each course was well paced and delicious.
We have dined at Union Park for several New Year's Eve celebrations and have enjoyed every one of them. My husband and I agree this one was the best. Thank you, Union Park! We look forward to dining with you in 2018

Preset menu for NYE offered decent options @$98 per, thus the 2 star on value. Also, never a fan of automatic tip being added, especially for a table of two...it was their loss in our case.

A perfect dining experience. Great food, impeccable service, nice ambiance. It was New Years Eve, so we half-expected to be rushed. The service was steady, but we never felt pressured.

The menu was prix-fixe, but the selections were varied and adventurous. We both started with a lobster bisque that was excellent, with little chunks of lobster in a tasty bisque. My wife had the bay scallops cerviche, which she usually shies away from--but truly enjoyed. My foie gras on almond bread was outstanding. Our entrees of lobster tails and duck, respectively, were both well-portioned and delightful. Desserts of Whiskey ganache and creme brulee were perfect ends to a great meal.

Again, service was friendly, professional and calm--which on a hectic evening is a high compliment in itself.

We were seated at a small,temporary table set in the middle of the room. The chairs were those banquet style stackable ones. By my side was placed an ice bucket on a stand that they were using to hold a pitcher of ice water. Every two minutes someone came by to grab the pitcher. My food was served with cold mashed potatoes & asparagus. It was returned to the kitchen to be reheated. I was then served a new plate of piping hot vegetables. It then was a delicious meal. The noise level was unexpectedly loud due to one table of 8.

My wife and I have gone to Union Park for Thanksgiving Dinner the past two years. Their Thanksgiving menu is outstanding. They are great the rest of the year too! Don't miss the Lobster Risotto.

my family and I went for Thanksgiving dinner and experienced a great time. Starting with the service which was exceptional and attentive. We all had the pre fixe meals including twin lobster tails which were succulent and tender, the lamb chops were done perfectly and served with a very tasty mustard sauce and lastly my Brother in law had the salmon over quinona, also very tasty. Our desserts, well it was Thanksgiving so all but me had the pumpkin pie, nice and creamy with a hint of cinnamon. For me the apple cobbler and vanilla ice cream hit the spot. We all left with full stomachs but not stuffed. In all another great experience . Keep up the good work John.

Some of the best food and service in Cape May. The restaurant is across the street from the beach and the owner greets you and makes sure your experience is perfect.

This was the second dinner we enjoyed at Union Park within a week's time; it was that good. As residents of Cape May we are fortunate to be able to dine at Union Park on a regular basis. The decor, ambiance, service ( our waiter was Ron, a real professional), food were all outstanding.

My husband and I took advantage of Union Park’s “restaurant week” pricing for the second weekend in a row. The menu selections were taken from the regular menu. They were plentiful and delicious. The room is elegantly decorated, lending itself to a romantic dinner. Our server, Lorie, was friendly and efficient. We are hoping to return before they close for the winter.
