Union Park is a delightful restaurant. The ambiance is low-key elegance. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is prepared perfectly to order. The short ribs are tender and flavorful and the duck was excellent. It is a BYOB but they do have a limited selection of local wines if you choose not to bring a wine.

Easter dinner was lovely. Everything was delicious and purposely made and presented. The lobster bisque was smooth and tasty. Our main entree poached lobster over lobster cheese risotto with green beans was the star. Lobster perfectly cooked. Risotto done just right. Green beans perfectly crunchy. The presentation was masterfully done. Beautiful to the eye and totally yummy! Fruit tarts on phillo dough was a light way to end the meal Our waitress was attentive and lovely. Wait staff very observant and kind. A very relaxing wonderful meal and environment. I highly recommend.

I eat out very often, and most restaurants that claim to be fine dining don’t always deliver all the elements that I consider essential to a fine dining experience. At Union Park on this evening I experienced everything that makes dining with your wife a romantic and enjoyable experience. Beautifully appointed dining room, white table cloths on the tables, candlelight, soft jazz playing in the background, attentive service and most of all incredible meals. What made this night even more special was the VERY quiet late evening atmosphere. You could hold a quiet conversation and still hear the soft jazz music playing which highlighted the whole experience. I rarely get to enjoy a quiet, romantic meal; but Union Park hit all the ‘Fine Dining’ points perfectly.

The restaurant is beautiful, the service is great without being pretentious. You will see folks dressed to impress, and some that are very casual. It is a BYOB, but serves some great wines from Cape May Vineyards...really quite good!! The only thing I would consider a bit of challenge was seating configuration as space is at a premium given the successful nature of the restaurant, so it was slightly cramped at times as the second seating of the evening peaked.

Charming restaurant of the Hotel Macomber - a Victorian gem. Warm and gracious service on New Year's Eve when things can be so harried. Enjoyed our tasting menu and best of all, enjoyed being able to bring our own wine. And no corkage fee like back home. But lest you think I focus too much on that, know that the ambience is fitting to Historial Cape May and the food delicious .

Went for New Year's Eve dinner and the night was perfect. 5 course fixed price menu. Great choices, and the food was incredible. The entrée portions were a nice size. by the time we were done with dessert, there wasn't much room left. Service was great and it is a casual yet elegant setting.

The meal and the service at the Union Park was superb! We had a 5 course Pre-fix meal on New Year’s Eve. Each course was expertly prepared and served by the wonderful staff. We were not rushed and had time to talk and enjoy the evening. Chef John did a masterful job and Bob kept the front end running like clock work. Could not have asked for a better way to end the old and bring in the new!

Wonderful experience for new Year's Eve. Our server was excellent. Our table for two was a little tight, but manageable. The main dining room was not as loud as I expected, since it was very full - very easy to converse. Would definitely return

We go to Cape May each December for a long weekend. Our special meal is Saturday evening and the only place we go to is Union Park. It is convenient, a little upscale, and a BYO. The staff is professional and their turnover must be low as we have had the same server the past few years. We always get a nice "Welcome back" from the front staff. We especially enjoy the menu. It is inventive and delicious. I spend a bit of time thinking about what to have as it all looks inviting. The servers are knowledgeable about the various dishes too. We usually stay at a B&B and recommend Union Park to everyone. The B&B owners share our high opinion.

Union Park is one of our all-time favorites in Cape May. Made reservations for last Saturday, and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found out that they were continuing to offer their "restaurant week" menu -- three course prix fixe for $35. It includes almost everything on their regular menu, so it's hard to beat. The server said they will offer this every Friday & Saturday night in December. My wife started with the beets, which were delicious, then had the salmon which was excellent. I started with a Ceaser, then the short rib which was truly outstanding, amazingly tender and flavorful. We normally don't order desert, but it was included with the prix fixe, so my wife had the profiteroles (excellent) and I had the semi frecco (or something like that), also recommended if you like mousse. Service was perfect, just the right balance of attentiveness without ever being intrusive. For us, Union Park is one of the top three restaurants in Cape May: not as upscale gourmet as Peter Shields or Blue Rose, but the menu is perfect for us and it's a good value, especially when they offer this deal.
