5 th time we ate there and every time the food was terrific. Laurie provided great service.
We had an Excellent anniversary dinner and the service was perfect.
The food is very good as well as the service. A must go in Cape May.
Excellent food, excellent service. Definitely recommend this gem.
We had a wonderful meal in beautiful surroundings. The food was perfectly prepared. Although all of the tables appeared to be filled, the service was prompt and attentive.
First time at Union Park, and we will definitely be back. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended.
Party of eight tried 5 different entrees (several picked the same) and all spoke highly of their selections, including appetizers. Our waitress, Shirley, was spectacular—knowledgeable, friendly, attentive. The restaurant is byob which worked well with our group! We will be back.
I liked the restaurant, but wasn’t overwhelmed. The meals are very pricey and I expected a little more for the value. My steak was cooked wrong and the house wines were very mediocre. Wait staff was great!
Even on a busy Mothers Day Sunday, service was great and food wonderful.
Wonderful dinner Sunday night. We felt well taken care and not at all rushed. This is the restaurant that I would recommend to anyone traveling to Cape May.
It is a BYOB, which I love because you save so much money. I was there for Mother’s Day great menu.. the dining room is so beautiful and clean..
My husband and I loved the gracious ambience and warm atmosphere of this historic building. We ordered from the Mother's Day prefix menu which offered a nice variety of choices. I loved my entrée, the Duck Duet, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the Boneless Short Rib. We ordered Crab Cake and Tuna Tartare from the appetizer selection and shared. Both were excellent. For desert we shared Profiteroles and Chocolate Semifreddo. The size of the portions was impressive and the service impeccable. We will return.
Beautiful atmosphere for Mother's Day Lunch! It was the perfect place for this occasion. 3 course menu was very good.
Excellent food and service. Had the salmon and short ribs, crab cake appetizer and dessert and loved everything. We liked that it's a BYOB and that they have outdoor and indoor porch seating. Would highly recommend.
Early dinner special - great food for reasonable price. Can’t be beat.
The Duck Duet entrée was likely the best duck entrée I have enjoyed to date. Beet salad starter was also fresh and flavorful. Date had Cape May Salts and shared one - yummy - with a house made cucumber based dipping sauce and topped with green baby fish eggs. Lobster tail for her entrée with risotto and harve covert which were firm but not hard and tough as they sometimes can be. The main room is beautiful (we have also enjoyed dining on the side porch) and gives an aura of turn of the 20th century luxury and grandeur. Always enjoyable. We go 2-3 times a year and have for many years. Will go again.
too fast for a meal of this cost. should be slower paced. appetizers brought out right after bread put on table and main course brought out right after appetizers cleared. would be ok for casual dining but this is supposed to be one of the top restaurants on cape may.
Early bird menu is the best deal in town! 3 courses for $35
As usually, delicious 😋
The four of us enjoyed the evening. It was my brother in-law and his wife's first dining experience here. The three courses (prix fix menu) were excellent as usual. The service was superlative. Shirley and Lori are lovely and anticipated our every request. The restaurant being a BYOB was a bonus. Recommend this restaurant for any occasion or just a night out.
food and service were excellent, vibe was very good
Came here for our anniversary dinner and the staff was so welcoming! Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Would love to come back!
Lovely setting across from the beach. Early dinner included three courses for $35 - a great bargain. Nice selection for each course. Second time there and will definitely return.
Great as usual. Tried the 3 course early bird dinner and was not disappointed. Everything was done to perfection.
Our dinner was wonderful as usual . Thank you for my wonderful birthday dessert.
Union Park is one of my favorite restaurants...and not just in Cape May! From the time you enter the beautiful dining room, everything is special. The staff is always pleasant, welcoming, professional and efficient. Our waiter was Lori, whom we've had several times before, and she fits this description. The food was perfect: My friend and I both had the Cape May Salts for our appetizers, and the cucumber mignonette that accompanied them was refreshing and delicious. My friend chose the lobster tails for his entree and said they were some of the best he had ever had. I had the filet mignon-excellent! For dessert,I chose the special-a brownie that was to-die-for; he had a chocolate cake which he loved. Union Park can be a splurge price-wise,but it is always memorable and worth it. I can't wait to go back.
Our group of 6 friends planned an evening of dinner out and to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Exit Zero Jazz Festival. We made our plans to include dining at Union Park Restaurant. Union Park offers a great location with a great view and a 3-course $35 price fixed menu which is varied enough to satisfy the most discerning palate. Our group chose from the first course selections the beet salad, Ceasar salad, and the bay scallop cerviche. The menu options for the main course varies from beef to vegetarian. Our table selections were the seared salmon with tomato crab salad, goat cheese apple quinoa sauce verte; the chicken breast with sun dried tomato, goat cheese, spinach, chicken mole hash, au jus; and the 4 oz lobster butter poached tail, with lobster saffron risotto, lemon crème fraiche, pancetta. The desserts choices we enjoyed were a fruit tart with fresh cut peaches, plums, kiwi, vanilla custard, crispy sugary phyllo crust; profiteroles crusty éclair shells filled with espresso chocolate chip ice cream finished with chocolate sauce; semifreddo duet, salted caramel & dutch chocolate over caramelized cocoa nibs, chocolate crunch. Union Park Restaurant is a BYOB restaurant, so we all enjoyed our favorite wine with our dinners.
I noticed Executive Chef John Schatz visiting tables and checking on the kitchen as we dined appearing to keep a watchful eye on both sides of the table. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!
The lobster tails were delicious as was the scallops appetizer. My company enjoyed their salmon.
The lamb chops were some of the best I have had. Cooked perfectly. Love the beet salad. Everyone enjoyed their meal. One of our favorites.
We enjoy the ambience that Union Park provides. The dining room is lovely and the wait staff is courteous, prompt and professional. Most of them have worked at Union Park for many years and they work quite effectively as a team. The menu is pretty traditional, so don’t expect any nouveau or avant- garden selections. They do have one vegetarian entree on the menu which hasn’t changed in over a year. It’s $28.00 for what appears primarily to be a plate of carrots and lentils. The price point for this dish is too high and given the creative alternatives available for vegetarian/vegan entrees, it is time for the chef to step up his creativity a bit in this area. I would also like to see more locally sourced seafood on the menu. After all, Cape May has the second largest commercial fishing fleet on the east coast. Yet, except for locally sourced scallops, the menu’s seafood items consisted of Maine lobster, Chilean sea bass, and Norwegian salmon! Don’t get me wrong, we like the Union Park a lot; however, there is room for improvement in the menu and the time to do it is now.
We always go several times a year as we live nearby. It is a great restaurant in a town filled with great restaurants. There is generous spacing between tables which makes combining dining with conversation works very well
Just perfect. Great service
The value of the Prix Fixe Menu cannot be understated. We were very pleased with our meal~
Excellent food and service! Highly recommended!!!
The waitress was excellent as was the food.
Glad the season is here! This was Union Park’s opening night for the season and it was spectacular as always. Superb burrata rib eye beet salad and lobster. Perfect service as well. Great dinner!
Price fixe dinner of poached lobster tail was excellent, tender !obster. Food is always well prepared here. Enjoyed the first course crab cake and my husband was pleased with the bay scallop app.
Went for NYE, 2 couples. Pre-fix menu with several great choices, after the amuse bouche at the server's recommendation table ordered the lobster bisque, it was as good as she said. For the appetizer course we order gnocchi, scallop ceviche, and a trio of tartare, all 3 were very good. For the main course two of us had twin petite lobster tails over lobster risotto, perfect. The main dishes were beef filet and duck confit. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered and very well presented. I felt one of the best pre-fix menus I have ever had!
Union Park for New Year's Eve was 10/10 in all areas. The food was fabulous. Our server was friendly and knowledgeble. Each course was well paced and delicious.
We have dined at Union Park for several New Year's Eve celebrations and have enjoyed every one of them. My husband and I agree this one was the best. Thank you, Union Park! We look forward to dining with you in 2018
