Made a quick reservation for a girlfriend and I. Sat exactly where I’d hoped we would and everything else just fell into place!

The food was very good. The cocktails were excellent. Our server was so great - very attentive. The only thing was the noise level. It was loud.

It was perfect!! I even requested a table by the window and we got it!!! Food was fantastic and everyone was happy with what they ordered. We even placed a last minute appetizer order and it came before the main courses!! Can't wait to go back!

We went to indulge on wine and the cheeseboard, unfortunately the cheeseboard was not the awesome cheeseboard I’ve gotten there before. The cheeseboard that’s now being offered is a disappointment.

Always a great time at Union. This time, we were there for their St. Patrick's Day celebration and special menu. What a pleasant surprise to see the addition of a few Irish specialties for the day - and all very well executed, as well!

We came in for brunch on Sunday after I had seen the brunch menu with girlfriends & bottomless mimosas the week before. While I wouldn't peg this as a place for kids, it was definitely appropriate during brunch!

We decided to head in for 2 reasons: 1) bottomless mimosas and 2) my kids' favorite foods were all over the menu.

The food was amazing. My kids had beignets to start and said that they are "better than Disneyland". My son had the avocado toast, which would be a great vegetarian option. The scramble and green omelette were great. Even the fruit on the side isn't the creepy bowl of cantaloupe and green melon, but only strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. We finally had to tell the waitress to stop bringing mimosas, but they were delicious!

Can't wait to go back!

Never disappoints!
Went back again after a long hiatus. Every bit as good as I remembered. It was a business meeting and the waiter was respectful of our conversation and paid the perfect amount of attention to us.

I'll be back again soon!

First time visit and while I was waiting for my friend to show up, more and more people were coming in. Like it was one big happy party. I knew this must be a local hangout as everyone was excited to be there and were having a good time. We got a table in back for dinner so it was away from the bar area with no noise to speak of, so we had a great conversation without having to raise our voices. Food was delicious and the waitress's recommendation, could not have been better. Very impressed!
I will be back and I will recommend to friends.

Terrific service! I reserved a table for four, which grew to six. This was on a Saturday night. They were able to comment us despite a busy crowd. Service was top-notch and timely. Food was wonderful!

We had reservations and got seated in the very back tucked in corner..waited for service..no eye contact or anything for 10 minutes..had to go find someone..she was good..my shrimp and grits..which I have had before and enjoyed..was over cooked..and a tad cold..my husband fish stew was bland..we have been in the past and enjoyed it..maybe can’t handle Valentine’s Day...

Food is hit or miss. The wings are excellent, big beefy wings. Jambalaya was a disappointment. The waiter said it is the 2nd most ordered item. I don't know why, it was boring for me. The pastrami sandwich would have been good, except the meat was way too fatty for me. I could not enjoy that. It had excellent ingredients in the sandwich, which would have made it very good if only the meat were good. It is a nice spot if you are looking for a lively night. I think I will prefer it when the outside patio opens and it is a more peaceful place to eat.

The food in Encinitas is not nearly as good as the restaurant downtown. Disappointing experience overall compared to the downtown location. A little surprising that they do not offer flights of beer in a city where craft brews are a highlight. Waiter said the bar is too busy to be able to offer flights, but lots of busy restaurants in San Diego somehow manage to offer them. I would not go back to the Encinitas location, but will definitely visit the one downtown, which is outstanding.

I went with another couple to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The special menu was outstanding! We ordered the Porterhouse for two and had so much food! This was truly the best meal any of us had enjoyed in a long time. The truffle mac&cheese was delicious! Such a fantastic meal and the service was fantastic too!!

Went here for NYE dinner. It’s a great bar for watching football on Sundays so I was surprised at how appropriate is turned out to be for a NYE dinner. It was classy in the dining room separate from the bar area with a great ambiance and awesome food. This place has it all for any occasion.

Had a good time. Place was Packed on Christmas so we went back a few days later. It’s a popular spot and I see why. Food was very good. Mac n Cheese is a little bitter for the wife’s taste. Brick Chicken was very good.

Service was great.

We went on our 53rd wedding anniversary. We were so surprised very small dining room and not many really good tables for two
But we realized it was for the younger crowd. But though noisy the music was not as loud as one would expect
We will go again but for brunch or lunch
This was a gift from our son and wife. Was an interesting experience
No mention of our special ocassion

Most of our group were pleased with their choices, two were not. When others tried the two dishes that weren’t liked, they agreed they weren’t good. Service was poor. The waiter had a bad attitude that was noticed by all.
