We loved our waitress
Our brunch was luke warm and the eggs were cold; overall the drinks were good
BEST BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH!!! The food was incredible and such a variety of options, not to mention for a little over $30 you can do bottomless mimosa, Bellini, bloody Mary’s and switch between them all. Great vibes with really fun people and helpful staff. Restaraunts interior is gorgeous and spirited for the holiday season
I recommend this place. Everything was fine except two things that hopefully was only in that moment: 1) the eggs were not cooked properly and not running as it was ordered 2) the female waitress or hostess who occasionally came to our table, her tone could improve especially for the nice, positive, buzzy brunch vibe in the entire restaurant. There was a male host who was great! Very personable. Thankfully his good attitude was enough to override the aforementioned women's tone. Rest of the food was good too!
Michael was the best! They were definitely understaffed but the service was still great they were on top of their game! Food PHENOMENAL as usual! Can’t wait to visit again
One of my favorite brunch spots in the city!
Awful food. Restaurant was empty and was pumping loud music thoughtlessly.
Decent food and drinks for brunch. Super loud !
We waited for 15 minutes after being seated for someone to even come give us water and ask about drinks (to the point where the table next to us joked that they would be willing to share food). The service was lackluster throughout, and to top it off, we got a "no show" email from Open Table saying that the restaurant recorded us as not coming. Clearly they took even less notice of us than we'd even thought! You have to laugh.
We came for Sunday brunch as it was very conveniently located. It was busy but the wait staff did get us anything we asked for (and trust me, my friend asked for quite a lot). The food was tasty and there were gluten free options. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My only issue was that I had to order more food at the end as I was not full - the portions were on the small side. However, knowing that, I would come again but I would order a salad to go with my meal (the one that comes with the eggs is too small).
Service dismal. Took 20 minutes to get first drink, they arrived watered down and bad. Some dishes good (tater tots, fried chicken, French fries) others were just bad (fish tacos). Server recommended a good bottle of wine towards the end.
Staff is amazing and always make the experience phenomenal!!
We were seated 50 minutes after our reservation time and then waited another 30 minutes to receive our first round of drinks or any attention for that matter from any of the attendants.
The food was great, service was ok, but it the music was way to loud for brunch!
I was disappointed with my experience. I brought a big group of friends and was looking forward to a nice evening together. We thought the restaurant was beautiful, but the service left a lot to be desired. It took 15 minutes to get each round of drinks. The server was hesitant to come assist us. I had to go request drinks from the bartender personally. I also had to ask the server to clear our table because our finished plates had been sitting for a disappointing amount of time. Gratuity was included but I did not believe the service was representative of the amount given. I would recommend a different experience.
Went for bottomless brunch. Really good deal! $35 for an entree brunch item, side, and unlimited mimosas, bloody mary's, and bellinis. Nice, fast service, in a fun atmosphere. A little loud, but to be expected with a deal like that.
Michael was a great server! Was a awesome brunch meal :)
Evan was a very good server as was the gentleman from Boston. Food was excellent. Print new menus and refinish the banquets.
Went recently for brunch with a friend. We both enjoyed our entrees and the unlimited drinks are a great deal! Our waitress was super sweet and the bartender was friendly and welcoming.
We showed up and the entire restaurant smelled like bleach. It was disgusting. We couldn’t breathe. we had to leave and asked them to cancel our reservation (they never did and we were penalized for it). Annoying and strange. The waiter didn’t even acknowledge the smell. The menu looked interesting so too bad.
Great fish tacos
Super good food cool vibe
I had the scallops and they were outstanding. The service was very attentive and helpful with food and wine selections.
Great environment and friendly staff. The brunch was delicious and the service was great.
Went here for a business lunch. The waiter kept referring to me and my employee as "girls." The salad I got was disgusting. It came topped with tiny/baby shrimp that were so off. They had no flavor and they disintegrated in my mouth. No chewing necessary. It might be a fun place for drinks. But I won't go there for food again.
Neighborhood brunch spot. Food delicious! The decor, chairs and tables are tired.
Great happy hour with small plate selections including oysters . Nice open and airy spot in an area that Doesn’t have a lot of places to eat. This was a good find for the HERE theater venue. Our waiter was just perfect attentive not overbearing with right amount of conversation. Wish I had asked his name.
The staff was very accommodating for our large party and all the food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Endless mimosas at brunch is a deal. Loved they just put a carafe on the table so we did not have to ask for a refill. Food was good.
Amazing food, unlimited drinks for an 1.5 and vibrant scene! I will definitely go back!
The noise level was high! They started the 1.5 hours of bottomless brunch once we were seated but we were not waited on for 10 minutes, and then we were not given out drinks for an additional 7. The waitress then provided carafes of drinks, but it was a rocky start. Food was good, but not mind blowing.
We really enjoyed the decor of the spot, service was good, and while the food was good, it was not exceptional. The fish tacos were very good, the quinoa Greek was good, but not as big a fan of the poke bowl.
If you are interested in a conversation, avoid it. We were there at 3pm on a weekday (low traffic) and it was already loud.
My first time eating there wasn’t the best and I called the restaurant to let them know that. They immediately apologized (the owner even sent me a genuine and heartfelt email!) and invited me to come back with my meal being on the house. I kid you not, it was a whole new experience. Multiple people, including the manager, greeted me as I walked in and told me how sorry they were about my previous negative experience. They took my drink (in my case, coffee) order as I waited to be seated and got me my table in a very reasonable amount of time. My waiter was very polite and checked in every ten minutes to make sure everything was okay. The food was FANTASTIC. Towards the end, the manager came by, apologized again for my previous bad experience and then asked questions to make sure everything was going well. UBK is a restaurant that prides themselves on customer service and food quality; this was very evident when I came back. I always believe in second chances and this was a testament as to why that is the case. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience, I will definitely be back!
Amazing place, 2nd time here in 2 months. Food is great, service and atmosphere as well!
I’m so upset that I’m only just now finding out about this place. Me and my girlfriend decided to do our first brunch here and I couldn’t have picked a better spot. Upon arriving, we were told our reservation was somehow already checked in. Nevertheless, everyone was still very accommodating while we waited for things to be sorted out. The host recommended the bar while we waited and the bartender got us started on our bottomless drinks. After maybe about 5-10 minutes we were seated at our table and ready to go. Our server Nas was awesome and even turned the music up for us when we asked. He was attentive and our mimosas were never allowed to reach an empty glass. The runner Pedro was awesome too. Very funny and full of smiles. The crowd there seemed to love him too as random chants of his name would erupt every now and again. The atmosphere is very lively with lots of chatter and an occupational dance break from a table here and there lol. The mimosas were extremely delicious and strong. And I don’t even want to get started on the chicken and waffles (I had the blueberry flavor). They are simply amazing. Overall I had such a wonderful experience. Will definitely be returning.
Overall a food place to eat brunch. However there was a loud birthday party group that day and with the music blasting it was hard to communicate with the server. As such, they got my beer order wrong and also got my main order wrong. They did however rectify my beer order and gave me a free beer.
My husband and I chose this restaurant based on proximity to the West Village. We had no idea that the area would be so dead. We showed up for our 7pm reservation at 6:50 and the doors were locked. When someone came to the door they said that since brunch is served during the day that they wait to reopen until 7pm. We stood outside for the 10 minutes along with other passersby who decided to leave due to the locked door. It did not sit well with us. When we got inside at 7pm the vibe was rather dull. The server didn't go out of her way after we waited outside. I don't think we'd go back.
Had dinner at UBK Last Saturday evening. Made a reservation or 7pm for two people. Arrived around 6:45pm only to find the doors locked. Another couple arriving at the same time knocked and was told the doors open at 7pm.. Oh well two or three cocktails we would have enjoyed at the bar before our 7pm reservation is their loss.
We ordered the Arugula and Burrata salad to start. We were able to share it and found it was plenty for two. The salad was perfectly dressed and the Burrata was spot on. We then ordered the Bucatini Pasta (a good sized portion) and Oba's Fried Chicken. We enjoyed both main courses with a refreshing Sancerre and a well rounded OR or WA Pinot Noir. We passed on dessert. Service was pleasant and attentive!
There was a large group at another table, and the resulting noise was deafening . Service was friendly but the time between appetizers and main course was very slow. Food was fine but noise and slow service did not make me want to return. This was a business lunch and I was sorry that my clients did not have a better experience.
The chicken and waffles are amazing! Can’t go wrong with the bottomless brunch.
