Undici Rumson New Jersey Ratings and Reviews
Thank you for asking. The lighting was perfect, however it was very noisy, my husband kept saying (what did you say). The food was tasty but my portion was so small I couldn't believe it. I ordered the Merluzzo Lemone which was cod, lemon, capers, potatoes and string beans. The price for the cod dish was either 34 or 32 dollars, which was ridiculous considering how small it was, I am 5ft 6 inches 120 lbs. so what I'm trying to say is if it was ridiculously small for me I can't imagine a larger person being satisfied. It was like that old Wendy's advertisement ( WHERES THE BEEF!!) Where's the rest of my meal!! So needless to say we won't be returning to Undici in Rumson.
Undicis took such great care of my party (of 4 adults + 1 four y.o. + 1 seven m.o.)! Laura and Joe were fantastic: very caring, catered to all of our needs and never once made us feel like we were being rushed. They were so good with our kids too! Undicis is 80+ miles from our house and we always look for excuses to dine there. Just can't say enough about the food, the ambiance, and the staff. Having dined here about a dozen times before, this evening's meal and how they treated us like family is what we have come to know and love Undicis for. It's an absolute gem of a restaurant. Grazie!!
Undici never disappoints. This dinner was particularly special because my daughter, her husband and kids were here for the holidays. They now live in California. But their first dinner-date was here at the old Hook Line & Sinker. I really wanted my grandchildren to see where it all began for their parents. The wait-staff made it all the more special. The food was terrific! Great evening!
Once again, we had a fabulous meal here. It was my wifes birthday, so we went to her favorite restuarant. We sat at the fireplace and enjoyed a cocktail. At dinner , we shared ( 3 0f us ) the beet salad, grilled Octapus and the Veal meatball special. All phenominal ! I had the stuffed chicken my son and wife had pasta dishes. Had to taste them all. Needless to say, we love that place . We have never, ever been disappointed there, except when we had a long wait on a beautiful summer evening !
My wife and I tried the Sunday sauce. It was delicious, and the service and atmosphere was great as always. If this restaurant was a bit more moderately priced, we would be there EVERY weekend. It's a great meal all the time, just a bit pricey, especially if you have a few drinks. All in all, a great experience.
Had a nice table near the bar. Amazing service, from our waitress, to the sommelier, all were there to serve us. Great wine list, all Italian and some great values, although if you have the money for some special wines, they were on the list.
All four of us had terrific meals and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (closed down the place!).
Excellent meal again at undici. We had a beautiful end of Summer Rose. Delicious pumpkin ravioli with a nice piece of beef cheek. Excellent homemade sausage with swiss chard. Their sausage is very lean and meaty. The geloto is one of the best in the area. The whole team is special. Kevin the sommelier is tops in the area. This is important whan you have as good a list as Undici has. And for us, Joe, is a very special man and waiter.
We began going to Undici last summer. It has since become one of our favorites. We have attended wine dinners and just show up for dinner during the week. It's all been great.
Vic Rallo & Co. provide a warm welcoming atmosphere with specatular food and great wine.
The wine list is amazing! Many small Italian producers with amazing wines affordably priced.
Had dinner with friends......started at the bar and was served great quality alcohol. They to table for a great dinner. Was helped through the wine list expertly. Was asked a few questions about tastes and likes and was spot on with the recommendation. Attentive without being intrusive. Dessert was fresh and wonderful.....Great place. Thanks. Will be back
My friends are in restaurant business , and so we frequent Undici as one of our normal haunts. The food overall was pretty good this time as we wound expect, although it took forever and we ate at 4:30 so the restaurant was empty. Not sure why it was such a huge wait. The thing that stands out this time was the absolutely horrible service. The older gentleman who served us acted like he didn't want to be there at all. He was completely inattentive, told us when we sat down he had no idea what the specials were and didn't offer to find out, and when he came back to refill our water glasses he spilled it and didn't even offer to wipe it up. It was honestly appauling. Will have to strongly consider whether this remains on my list.
We arrived early and were seated right away..at the table we had requested. It was a beautiful night to be outside & listen to the pair of
Musicians whine we had heard when we were here back in June. We went with some specific dining aspects in mind: al fresco dining, great service, outstanding wine selection & artisnal puzza. Added the tuna tartar for appetizer and of course we were not disappointed! Servers and sommelier were friendly, attentive & made sure our evening was all we hoped it would be. No music after summer wraps so will try to get back agin very soon.
Was totally happy with the entire experience, our table was ready when we arrived, the atmosphere is very cool rustic Italian, the waiter was polite, knowledgeable but not over bearing. The food was terrific, all our meals, as well as appetizers were excellent. It was my husbands birthday and we wanted to share a dessert, the waiter recommended the biscotti w/dips, it was so perfect to share and also delicious. I would recommend this restaurant and will absolutely go again.
