There seemed to be one waiter/host for the entire restaurant. We waited for about 20 minutes before he asked for our drink order. Because we were trying to make it to a show, we rushed to put in our food order along with drinks. Our food came out in a timely manner, but the waiter never came back after dropping our food
Undici is always a wonderful dining experience. We dine here for many of our special occasions.
The service was a bit off this time, but that hadn't happened before.
Italian with a heavy hand. Bruschetta was like stale croutons. Ravioli were overcooked(tough). Returned the 1st entree. Bland. Chicken parm was better, but the pasta was overcooked and the sauce was salty. They took the bruschetta off the bill and no charge for entree.
Great food, great service!! Love this place. Our only complaint was the food was a little salty but overall excellent!
Sat.7/22/17 - This was our 16th Anniversary Dinner! We reserved on "Open Table", entered the restaurant on time, advised of our reservation and was told he didn't see our reservation. I requested a nice quiet table, we received a table next to a busy street window with blinding sun coming through. It started off with 2 Appetizers: Calamari which was perfectly cooked nice and tender and not rubbery or chewy which was lightly battered and flaky. Couldn't ask for it any better! We decided to go with another appetizer to try: Bruchetta - Served on rock hard toast, we asked the waiter if this is normally how they serve this, and we were told "yes, if we serve it on soft bread, it would become mushy". We never asked for soft bread, nor did we request a brick! The finely chopped tomatoes and baby basil was less than satisfactory since it left us begging for more basil which was rare to find. Overall rating: "2". (The over cooked toast killed it!) - Moving on, we both had the Veal Marsala and high expectations looking forward. - Ok! @ $26 per plate with zuchini & squash mainly and (3) small "pieces" of potatoe, this will leave you running for the door to get real veal marsala elsewhere! Perfectly cooked veal for both plates - nice and tender. Marsala sauce was nothing but a McCormick's Brown Gravy Sauce Packet - Terrible! (We are no beginners when it comes to Veal Marsala) Afterwards I ordered a cup of regular coffee and received a cup of heavily watered down coffee. My wife ordered Tiramisu @ $8.00 a Slice; Quantity was plenty, it looked delicious, when we both tasted it, it tasted flat with very little taste - bland, and the cookie wafer inside was just mushy. Our expectations were definately exceeded! Thank you for the night we won't forget! - Overall Rating "2".
2nd time we've visited and both times the dishes my wife & I had were great. It's very close to Swedish hospital, pretty upscale feel to the interior and food but more reasonable prices than similar places downtown or cherry creek. The owner was very cordial and wanted to make sure everyone was having a great experience at his restaurant. Would definitely recommend if your in the area & like Italian food.

I'd not been to Undici since they opened so it was great to be back and to see that a local restaurant has been able to endure when so many are closing. The service was attentive and informed without being gratuitous. It was great to have a slow pace, we weren't rushed and didn't even place our entree orders till after the appetizers--very relaxing. There were four of us and we each had the "flight of wine" which was an affordable and nice way to try a few different offerings. Overall, a great evening.
Made my first trip to this establishment very memorable. I will definitely be coming back.

this continues to be one of our go-to places. We love the great service and the way they make you feel at home. The food is consistently yummy they have a nice wine selection and it's just a real nice place. Do yourself a favor make a reservation

What a pleasant surprise. We are selling our house and needed to get out for a showing. We are trying to eat at places we've never been to and Undici isn't far from our home. My husband and I shared a terrific bottle of Chianti. The house salad was amazingly fresh, so much so that it reminded us of the salads when we lived in Europe. I had the gnocchi- and my husband tried some of it too. I cannot say enough about how good it was. My husband is still talking about it. My husband had chicken Parmesan which he said was good but he wished he'd had the gnocchi.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Service was excellent. A touch pricey, but not out of line. I would dine there again.
This was my wife's birthday dinner. It was very nice inside, very helpful staff .the food was amazing. I will be going back!

Service was just perfect. The bread and oil alone is worth going! We shared a spinach salad, and it was okay. Wish we would have had a different salad. I had the Chicken Monte Carlo, and it is really really good. Very tender, great flavors. Have had the shrimp with pasta (cannot recall name0 in the past and it is VERY good. My friends had the housemade fettucini with housemade sausage, and loved it. They also had the parmaesan risotto with chicken saltimbocca special, and it got a huge thumbs up. Very nice decor, sound level, all really good. Great local place!
Good service, good food, noize level a little to high for conversation
This was the second time my wife and I came to this wonderful little eatery. We had drinks before dinner at the bar, which my wife enjoyed that they had a "flight" of wine which allowed her to try a few different wines at once, while the beer selection was not large, it did include two Italian beers that we're excellent and paired well with the meal. We started with the calamari which had wonderful flavor, as well as a dipping sauce that had a nice spice to it. I almost ordered the Rigatoni Undici again, because the first time we went it was phenomenal, but my wife convinced to to lean toward seafood this time. She got the linguini with clams, which was delicious and had a perfect herbaciousness to the broth that just made you want to drink it, we had to ask for more bread. This time I went with the ciopinno, and it did not disappoint, the fish in it was perfectly tender, not over cooked like some ciopinno I've had but the shrimp were the real stand out, a thoroughly enjoyable dish.Also worthy of mention was our service, we have had the luck of having Demitri as our waiter both times we have been there, and his service is exceptional, he is attentive and considerate, helping pace the meal perfectly. Also the owners are always in the restaurant and really take pride in making everyone feel welcome and letting you know that you are an appreciated customer.
I have eaten here before with good results so went back. Perhaps it was an off night, one dish was incredibly spicy and the other had to be remade because the pasta was stuck together in clumps. Service was very good and waiter was attentive. Very much enjoy the ambiance.
We have been going to Undici's for several years. The food is wonderful, and the attention professional, silent, yet friendly. They "read" the table, and they are attentive to you, the customer. Any risotto with the fresh peas, is worth having. Always.
This was our first trip in to Undici. Had driven past many times and always wanted to try it. Ended up getting a gift card from a friend so I had no more excuses not to stop in. Everything was what I hoped it would be. Upscale casual atmosphere, good wine selection, and great Italian food that isn't outrageously priced. I would definitely go back again!
Calamari was small & bland. Ragu was good. Bolognese wasn't great. Meatballs were soggy--too much bread.
I was really looking forward to dining here, but everything was just a bit off. The decor and interior design is modern and whimsical with colorful artwork. The calamari was spot on: lightly breaded, tender meat. The beet salad was probably the highlight, with a whipped ricotta that was rich and delicious. I ordered the caprese but had to send it back, something I never do. It was partly my fault for ordering tomatoes in March, but they were mealy and just terrible. Our pasta was decent, the ravioli weren't quite cooked around the edges but I didn't feel comfortable saying anything (They made delicious leftovers the next day!) Our waiter was lovely, but left much to the imagination in terms of explanation of the menu.
Excellent service always makes for an outstanding dining experience. We certainly were treated very well at Undici's. The Italian food was amazing - very fresh and the pasta dishes were so yummy. Great wine as well! And we were even able to speak Italian with our waiter!
Service was disappointing
We were greeted by an employee who was having a drink at the bar, who told us it would be just a minute. Then the waiter sat us. It wasn't an awkwardly late reservation, and others came in long after us, but it seemed like waiters were left to fight for "scooped" tables as they entered-reservation or not.
Waiter took our drink, salad, and dinner order. Our drinks arrived with bread and everything seemed fine. Then the salad arrived, but it took too long to be removed. Even after that, it took another 45+ minutes to receive our dinner! Having placed the dinner order with the salad order, this should have been simple to manage for the server. We had a reservation, so if we needed to be seated in their other dining section (whose waiter was clearly more seasoned) they should have done so. While awaiting our meal we tried to order another round, and found ourselves having to practically beg for the waiter's attention. He took drink orders from the table next to us while the busboy/assistant notified him we wanted to order drinks, then simply wandered off again for another 10 minutes or so. I will admit he at least knew a bit about scotches for my dining companion to select from. My wine order did not encounter the same expertise.
Finally, the food, which was inconsistent. The cioppino had very little actual food (seafood) in it...mostly toast & sauce...compared to other restaurants in the area. The sauce was watery, but the seafood itself (what was there) was mostly properly cooked, although the fish could have been prepared to be less tough. My dining companion enjoyed his swordfish, though. It was clearly the special for the evening for a reason!
No dessert was offered, we were simply brought the bill. Other tables were still eating apps, so clearly they weren't waiting on us. I believe once the waiter realized that a woman was paying the bill, our experience was doomed (unacceptable behavior, to put it mildly).
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. At the same time, he gave us plenty of room to talk. The food was outstanding. My two daughters and I had a wonderful meal (this was a recommendation from my eldest daughter, who has been to Undici nearly a dozen times because she likes it so much).

The space was interesting, the food was delicious and the service was very good. It was hard to hear across the table but we could hear across the room.
Super impressed, honestly wasn't expecting to be. We left nothing on our plates-polenta? Creamy and delicious. Short rib and risotto? Best comfort food meal in a long time. Chicken and gnocchi-get outta here. Chicken piccata? Simple, divine. Server well versed in the menu? That, too. Loved this experience.
We just recently went here for our 10 year anniversary and my wife and I were not let down in the slightest. This place is family owned and you can tell by the in house made pasta! Two thumbs up. We are bring more next time. The butternut squash ravioli and eggplant parmesan is what I recommend!
Undici is one of our favorite restaurants! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is exceptional and reasonably priced. They had a rib tip special when we were there that was simply fabulous! The service is always great and the staff is always friendly. The menu is most creative - not everyday Italian. Undici is a neighborhood gem!!!
Consistently good. Restaurant decor is very nice. It use to feel so dark & outdated. The recent facelift is very refreshing. Usually an owner warmly greets us when we come in & the wait staff is very attentive
Dinner was DELICIOUS. I was fortunate enough to try the two different ravioli and I was blown away by both meals. Fantastic night.
The food was horrible. For the price I expected a lot more. I get far better Italian food at the twisted noodle and that is fast food.

Second time at Undici. The service the first time was great but this second visit (Valentine's day) was so slow. Reservation at 8, seated by 8:10, waiter didn't give by till 8:30, food came out quickly. Finished meal by about 8:50. Waited for boxes for extra food, got them about 9:10pm. They brought dessert we didn't order. No check until about 9:20/9:30. Was charged for the dessert we did not order.
Overall, great food but bad service on a busy night. However on our first visit both the food and service was great. Would recommend for weekday evenings and non-Holidays as they seem to do those great.

This is my favorite authentic Italian restaurant in the Denver area. I've never had a bad dish in all of the many times I've been here. I highly recommend it. The wait staff is also excellent!! My whole family loves it and we are Italian!!!!
