The food was excellent as usual. The baby spinach salad with salmon was just perfect. Salmon was cooked exactly the way I asked for it. My wife Katie had the shrimp and grits and loved it. Nikki our server was so pleasant, efficient, and helpful. She kept the coffee fresh and hot all the time.

Great food and service, honestly one of the best in Greensboro. And they’re right up the road from the Tanger Performing Arts Center, so it’s perfectly located in downtown. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend.
We had brunch there prior to seeing Wicked at Performing Arts. My sister and I, along with our two teenage granddaughters, enjoyed it immensely. It was our first time there and would definitely go back.
Ribeye was very bland. Duck was great. Shrimp and salmon cakes appetizer was not good.

We called days in advance and were told that outside seating was “first come, first served”. When we arrived, there were outside tables available, but we were told they had all been “assigned”, so were not available. The duck breast was quite good, but the flounder special was overcooked.
Wife and I had the flounder special and it was outstanding. Moist and the crust was delicious. The pesto relish was such a different combination. The bacon Risotto was out of this world. I could have eaten a bowl of just that. As always Josh and Sam were perfect hosts at the bar. Josh makes the best martinis ever!!
As always, they have created a wonderful seasonal menu with beautifully balanced flavors and the freshest ingredients. Equally well selected are the staff, who are superbly trained, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!

Very good place. Great food, knowledge of allergies, and very attentive. Felt well taken care of and impressed when leaving.
Tables were spaced very well, seats were comfortable, high ceilings and modern décor, appropriate for upscale restaurant. Nicki, our server, was very friendly & knowledgeable, making the dining experience fun for a before show dining experience. Menu was varied and something for any palette. Plates were beautifully presented and the food was delicious. Only wish we could have time for a dessert.

Our server, Sam, was very knowledgeable, attentive & bursting with personality. Wes, one of the owners is hands on and welcomes everyone that comes in. He will go above and beyond to accommodate any food, seating and event requests you have. Wes meets you once and you will be addressed by name from that point on. Business, casual night, formal evening or a "I need a drink" moment... The Undercurrent will not disappoint.
Our first anniversary and the food and staff were awesome. But, that's what one expects from Undercurrent. Nothing but the best!!!
My son and I enjoyed a celebratory dinner at Undercurrent over the Labor Day weekend. Our server was kind and the food was fresh, interesting and delicious. The sear on my scallops was perfect. The addition of okra, roasted sweet potatoes, and puréed sweet corn offered soulful southern flavor to the dish. Very very good.
If you are wanting excellent food & drink in an inviting & comfortable, classy atmosphere, this is it. Service was perfectly attentive. Signature cocktail was a great start to the evening followed by the lobster/shrimp spring rolls and fried green tomato appetizers. The duck and salmon was cooked exactly as ordered and the blend of flavors in both dishes was so nice...truly perfect - nothing overpowered anything else in the dish. We finished with peach crumb cake and a slice of cheesecake. I don't usually opt for dessert but the peach crumb cake was so good I might've order another!
We will be back to the Undercurrent. The entire experience, from start to finish, every single bite, was outstanding.
My wife’s Fried chicken was incredible. The pasta that was with it was so incredibly delicious. My pork chop literally melted in my mouth. The set-up had so many incredible flavors. Once again we met a new couple (Dawn and Hub) and had a great time with great conversation. Our man Josh and his side kick Ben were spot on as usual. Love this place!!
My service was a bit disappointing. My waitress was not very attentive and did not return to my table after I was served my appetizer. Eventually I asked another waiter if he could send my waitress over, but he said he could help and jumped in to assist, as I wanted to oder a salad. He provided the salad, and then asked if I was ready for my main course. The waitress did not return until I was almost finished my meal.
Had a bite to eat before a concert. The rose bubbly was delicious and the food was amazing. Always a go to when you’re downtown!
Always a wonderful experience here. I tried the seafood special which was delicious and beautifully plated. The wait staff is superb. We were going to the Tanger Center afterwards which is just a few minutes away, so well located if you plan to have dinner before heading to the Tanger.
Also makes for a wonderful evening to have a relaxing dinner. We sat outside and it was a beautiful night.

First time eating here. Great experience. Good ambiance. Fried oysters were great. Tilefish special was awesome as was my wife’s scallops. Had the Rye-not seasonal drink. Not my preference but tried it once.
Appetizers, food and drinks were excellent. The server was attentive but not pushy. We are using them for an upcoming rehearsal dinner so wanted to try first. We were not disappointed.
This place is one of my favorites in Greensboro. It's always great and consistent. The staff are phenomenal. Sam was wonderful. I just wish it weren't quite so expensive for appetizers and dessert.
