Under The Moon Cafe Ratings and Reviews
We dined here on a cold Tuesday night. I enjoyed several tapas including the octopus , cazuela de queso, dates, tostones, and the short rib tapa. Everything was superb. We had the filet special and pork chop as our entree. Our server sierah was phenomenal from start to finish. Not over bearing but just right. The tiramisu and peanut butter chocolate cheesecake were great as well. I recommend this place to any and all. Top class service and food. Thank you for a great meal Utm
Probably the fourth time we've been here in 15 months; and we'll likely come again. We enjoy the eclectic menu and the innovative, throw-back decor. This time we went for Sunday brunch. The soup of the day was fantastic. Our entrees ranged from acceptable to very good. Nestled in a great part of Bordentown, we love the old-town charm! Save room for dessert.
The bacon wrapped dates appetizer was amazing! My salmon dish was would have been better, had the description on the menu been more accurate and specified it was loaded with garlic. I could have so easily asked them to hold the garlic-so that was totally disappointing.
I would absolutely go back, and give it another try.
This is a great little BYOB restaurant! I had the stuffed shrimp appetizer, an amazing spinach salad, and basa filet w/ sautéed spinach and fingerling potatoes! Every bite delicious! They sometimes make a Creme Brûlée Cake that is excellent! I will return here again and again!
The food was delicious and we enjoyed how cozy the restaurant ambiance is too. The only issue was that the server, although very sweet, was slow. We were there longer than anticipated because it took so long to get water, our orders, and the check. Otherwise, it was a nice experience. I still recommend checking it out.
Servers were friendly and food was delicious! We ordered a bunch of small plates to share as well as two desserts to go and it was extremely practical. The food was different and the flavors were excellent! Also love that it’s a BYOB! The Decour is adorable and eclectic. Will definitely return!
This was a cute little place with an eclectic decor of various antiques and knick-knacks. The menu had a variety of interesting items as well. Unfortunately, everything was rather mediocre. Nothing bad, just nothing I ever needed to eat again. Very disappointing.
Atmosphere and food made our biannual together that much better! Food came quickly even on a Saturday night. The only downside was parking. Allow 15 extra minutes to find a parking spot in Bordentown. Otherwise we had a very nice evening and experience at Under the Moon with a party of 8.
This was my first visit to Under the Moon, and it won't be the last. Since it was the weekend before Halloween the place was decorated to the fullest and the staff were all in costume. The food was amazing and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. We brought wine, even though it wasn't easy to determine that the restaurant was BYOB. We look forward to going back many times.
This was an unfortunate choice. Our waitress was very attentive for the first five minutes, and the last five minutes. In between, the service was about as poor as could be. We asked our waitress, another waitress, and two bus boys for water before we got any. Our appetizers took over a half hour because, we were told, they ran out of soup and a “new batch” had to be made. Interesting because there were only 4 other tables occupied when we arrived. We asked the waitress for 5 more minutes to look over the menu. We saw her 20 minutes later. My husbands chicken was not just undercooked, it was literally raw. They took it back to the kitchen and didn’t come back until the rest of us were completely finished our meals. When they brought it back out, it was only about a third the amount left on the plate. We did not have to pay for the chicken dinner and were told that the kitchen was just overwhelmed.
