This was a cute little place with an eclectic decor of various antiques and knick-knacks. The menu had a variety of interesting items as well. Unfortunately, everything was rather mediocre. Nothing bad, just nothing I ever needed to eat again. Very disappointing.

Atmosphere and food made our biannual together that much better! Food came quickly even on a Saturday night. The only downside was parking. Allow 15 extra minutes to find a parking spot in Bordentown. Otherwise we had a very nice evening and experience at Under the Moon with a party of 8.

Positively delicious. This is NOT fast food, it's fresh, quality food. Main dishes run from $15 to $30 per person, but including beverage. BYOB. Great service.

We usually eat from the great Tapas menu but chose the special Halloween Table D'hote menu and none of our party of 4 were disappointed. The Pork Osso Bucco was outstanding.

This was my first visit to Under the Moon, and it won't be the last. Since it was the weekend before Halloween the place was decorated to the fullest and the staff were all in costume. The food was amazing and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. We brought wine, even though it wasn't easy to determine that the restaurant was BYOB. We look forward to going back many times.

Took mom out for her 80th birthday with family. We shared numerous tapas plates and loved most of them, liked the others. Another fun night out here in a quaint town.

This was an unfortunate choice. Our waitress was very attentive for the first five minutes, and the last five minutes. In between, the service was about as poor as could be. We asked our waitress, another waitress, and two bus boys for water before we got any. Our appetizers took over a half hour because, we were told, they ran out of soup and a “new batch” had to be made. Interesting because there were only 4 other tables occupied when we arrived. We asked the waitress for 5 more minutes to look over the menu. We saw her 20 minutes later. My husbands chicken was not just undercooked, it was literally raw. They took it back to the kitchen and didn’t come back until the rest of us were completely finished our meals. When they brought it back out, it was only about a third the amount left on the plate. We did not have to pay for the chicken dinner and were told that the kitchen was just overwhelmed.

This place is consistently quality in every area. Food is well cooked and tasty. Service is wonderful and welcome. Desserts are big and a must have. It is a neighborhood gem in the heart of Bordentown City. We return again and again for the tapas, ever changing seasonal specials, well cooked courses, atmosphere and friendly feel.

We had a great dinner and an excellent waitress. Food was delicious and arrived in a timely manner. We chose 4 different entrees and they were all very tasty and well-prepared. Would definitely go back and recommend Under the Moon to our friends and family. Thank you Open Table for helping us find a neat place to enjoy......our Lisa was very helpful....

Our fourth time eating there the ambiance is querky, art decko fun and the food is of high quality and the service is very good. The selection of appetizers and tapas is very good and the specials are interesting, but the menu the fourth time around is a little limiting. They serve a crostini with a delicious herb oil mix before the meal and even their iced deal is a flavor full brew. The selection of deserts is amazing!

I decided to book this restaurant for my hubby's birthday dinner due to the great reviews on here. We were not disappointed. We decided that we were going to try a number of the appetizers and tapas so that we could save room for dessert. Our waitress Tina was phenomenal. She noticed that a large party next to us was making it difficult to enjoy our meal to the full extent and offered for us to move without us saying a word. We sampled the artichoke rice balls, chorizo sliders, empanadas, short ribs and polenta fries. They were all delicious, with the empanadas and polenta fries being real stand outs. For desert we had the strawberry crepe cake and chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. My husband loved his crepe cake and if you are a peanut butter lover you need to try the cheesecake. The food combined with the eclectic decor were great and we will definitely be back!

Great ambiance and service. The appetizers were delicious, but the main course was not well executed. The braised short ribs fell waaay short of its intended mark.

The ambience is unique with mismatched tables and chairs, glassware and silverware all from the 50's. The service was excellent and the entrees have a wonderful Argentinean flair. This is one of our favorite local restaurants!

funky, understated. understand that NONE of the glassware, silverware, tables, chairs match each other, even on any given table- this is casual gathering space, with a great vibe. The involvement of the staff definitely adds to the charm.

The real story of course is the cuisine. The food is amazing in its variety and depth of flavor. We've been through the ShortRibs, Salmon, Ropa Vieja, Argentinian Meatloaf through our visits and have always been satisfied, and have many more items we need to try.
(can't forget to mention the Spinach and Pear salad).

Take a Friday evening walk through Bordentown, and stop in this little gem of a restaurant.

We found this place searching for a new place to meet friends; Bordentown is halfway for both of us, so while its menu seemed too fancy for my usual, we decided to give it a try. The decor is funky, as are the dishes and glasses. Mix of 40s to 80s decor, lots of nice well reconditioned kitchen tables from those decades and chairs. We sat at a repurposed Singer sewing machine table and our friends sat adjacent at a small metal and formica dinette table. They were short-handed on the Sunday night we were there, but the staff was friendly and polite, chatted a bit but not too much. Several of us had questions about the food and menu items, and they were answered capably and simply...

Two of us went with the $30 prix fixe dinner menu, the others a la carte. It's not too loud and the front and back doors of this narrow place were open which was breezy and delightful for the most part (till a guy outside was smoking a stogie slowly, which caught the breeze into the place, but he must've left after a while.) Anyway, the food timing was perfect; the plus menu items were the garlic bread served as we waited; the starter salads especially the grilled watermelon salad; main courses-- everybody liked their dishes-- 'bassa' fish and salmon for the entrees, skirt steak and a pesto sauced chicken with a pasta I didn't ID but that tasted really good. And dessert, a shared warm brownie with a vanilla ish/bread pudding tasting gelato, I think were great too.

They do a really nice job here hospitality wise, just the right friendly but yet not obtrusive touch, and good size portions, with simpler foods that all looked fresh.

And the block they're on in downtown Bordentown (a mile or so from 130) was a delight to walk around through after dinner. Would have been perfect had it been a bit better value wise. But still, I look forward to going there again.
