wonderful eclectic menu. everything was delicious! They had a musician playing which added a special touch
Seems like the service at Under The Moon has become less consistant in the past 6 months. We usually go on a Saturday night, and although their volume of customers has increased,Under The Moon doesn't have the same level of service that it used to.For example, with 4 of us at the table, one of us didn't have any silverware. We needed to ask 3 times for someone to bring silverware to one of us,over about 10-15 minutes. We handed over a bottle of wine to be opened and waited also about 10-15 minutes for the opened bottle to arrive back at our table, and that's too long. So,certain annoying issues like that. The staff was harried, and it may be that with more customers, they need more staff.Otherwise, the food itself, and their desserts were fabulous,as always.
Going to Under The Moon is always a treat for us. We live in town and are never let down by the quality of their food, the fun decor and the lovely people who provide service. Pay attention to who you bring with you -- my mother, who has hearing aids, found it difficult to follow conversation with the noisy Sunday lunch crowd and was overwhelmed several times. Overall an excellent experience and we will eat there again soon, maybe even tonight!
Waited approx 15 minutes for anyone to come to the table after we were seated. I am fine with delayed service e but no explanation or apology offered. Soup and coffee(brought our after dessert) both served lukewarm. Dinner was very good and dessert was delicious but the service took away from the overall experience.
Food wasn’t as good as usual.
Always a great meal!
Great visit to Under the Moon as always! We had late dinner and enjoyed a variety of tapas! Zach was a wonderful server as was all the staff assisting!
A wonderful find in Bordentown, NJ. Food was well seasoned, served hot. Nice portions. Can't wait to return!
Warm and welcoming environment, attentive service, delicious food beautifully presented!
We had friends in town from the West Coast. Good food, interesting selection (including everything fro Vegan to carnivores), excellent service. Sorry we don't live closer.
Loved it!!! Very special ambiance.
The crepe strawberry shortcake was to die for! Can’t wait to go back!
I love this place; one of my favorite restaurants. A friend of mine met me for brunch on a Sunday and the food was fabulous. Our waiter; however, was not very good. He didn't come to check to see if we needed anything and pretty much ignored us. This is not the usual for this place; we have always had great service, so I don't know what why the service was poor this time. Just one of those things. The ambience here is great, too. I love the interior design!
My husband and I met with friends for lunch in Bordentown, a town full of character and charm. The service at Under The Moon Cafe was excellent, attentive staff, but not at all intrusive. I ordered the gnocchi with gorgonzola cream sauce, and it was very good, with all fresh ingredients. I wish the lighting was brighter to accommodate customers with poor vision. Overall, a delightful lunch experience.
Quaint cozy cafe with great food and service. BYOB
We had a great time. Food was well executed, and portions were enough to bring home but so good we didn’t leave any leftovers! Service was attentive and not intrusive. Definitely will return!!
Love the eclectic atmosphere of this small quaint restaurant in Bordentown. Food was superb. Highly recommended the salmon entree. Had already eaten there a few times before. Excellent and very friendly staff. Wonderful experience!
Great food and service as always!
My husband and I split the Kale salad special. It just wasn’t good. ThenI had the monk fish with olives.
Monk fish was tough! Then we had cappuccino - it was cold.
We have been to your restaurant Once before. It was greAt. This time - not a good food night. Our server Zach was great though.
Great food. Great service. So happy we went, we will definitely be back!
I meet friends there every other month or so (and actually twice this week). Seems like the dishes are getting saltier but the soups are seasonal and delicious (we always pray the soup of the day will be the squash soup the day we go), dishes are quite tasty, and the desserts, difficult to choose from, and then I usually take home half.
We dined here on a cold Tuesday night. I enjoyed several tapas including the octopus , cazuela de queso, dates, tostones, and the short rib tapa. Everything was superb. We had the filet special and pork chop as our entree. Our server sierah was phenomenal from start to finish. Not over bearing but just right. The tiramisu and peanut butter chocolate cheesecake were great as well. I recommend this place to any and all. Top class service and food. Thank you for a great meal Utm
The five of us had a great time. Good menu. Good food. The sevrer was excellent. We asked for a more private table and got it. zit was excellent and I am recommending it highly.
In a word .....PERFECT. Loved it. Can’t wait to go back. Service. Food. BYOB. 10 10 10. I really didn’t want to tell everyone about this place because it’s so great I am afraid I won’t be able to get in. Hahaha. Get there as soon as you can.
Probably the fourth time we've been here in 15 months; and we'll likely come again. We enjoy the eclectic menu and the innovative, throw-back decor. This time we went for Sunday brunch. The soup of the day was fantastic. Our entrees ranged from acceptable to very good. Nestled in a great part of Bordentown, we love the old-town charm! Save room for dessert.
enjoyed the décor from the 50's. Good menu and great service
Always a great experience. Food is tremendous from the tapas to the dessert. Recommend this place to anyone.
Have been several times: generally bringing people for first experience. Selection this visit was excellent. Food came quickly - maybe too quickly, since not all dishes were piping hot. Kim was terrific waitress. Always an enjoyable event.
The bacon wrapped dates appetizer was amazing! My salmon dish was would have been better, had the description on the menu been more accurate and specified it was loaded with garlic. I could have so easily asked them to hold the garlic-so that was totally disappointing.
I would absolutely go back, and give it another try.
New server wasn't very attentive. We had to track her down to get our check. Otherwise, food and ambiance were great.
Gnocchi was amazing, girlfriend said it was the best she’d ever had.
Had a great meal with great service in this adorable restaurant. Fabulous vibe made for a great night.
This is a great little BYOB restaurant! I had the stuffed shrimp appetizer, an amazing spinach salad, and basa filet w/ sautéed spinach and fingerling potatoes! Every bite delicious! They sometimes make a Creme Brûlée Cake that is excellent! I will return here again and again!
Absolutely love this place, the food it pretty good, appetizers and tapas are amazing, perfect for a date night!!!!
Excellent food, very homey atmosphere, and attentive waiting. Noise level was moderate but ok for casual conversation. A vrey nice place!!
Always a great meal with an interesting menu choice
Eclectic, charming ambiance with mismatched tableware and decor. Food is delicious, plus it’s a BYOB. Who could ask for more. Make sure you leave room for dessert!
Always super fresh and delicious food with excellent, friendly service. I love the flexibility that the various small plates provide, while my husband enjoys the entrées. Everything is delicious
The food was delicious and we enjoyed how cozy the restaurant ambiance is too. The only issue was that the server, although very sweet, was slow. We were there longer than anticipated because it took so long to get water, our orders, and the check. Otherwise, it was a nice experience. I still recommend checking it out.
Always an enjoyable experience with delicious food in an eclectic setting.
