Nonna would approve...
Quality takes time. That’s why gravy is slow-simmered on the stove, where ingredients are carefully selected and prepared.
This is how Frank Sinatra preferred it. Chef Carlos De Veyra, chef of Uncle Tony’s and nearby Woods Restaurant, has created a menu of old classics that the Rat Pack would approve of.
Go back in time at this nostalgic 1960's Pizzeria and Pasta Bar accompanied by sounds of accordions and Italian singers. Select seating on bar stools at the pizza oven, in the kitchen, or in a cozy mob-style booth. Uncle Tony’s is open 7 days a week, Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner, Saturday and Sunday dinner only.
Charming and romantic little restaurant.
The old fashioned table clothes adds charm.
Food was good. We had a grilled calamari, wasnt the best but it was still tasty.
I had butternut squash pasta, was great...then we also had a pizza - was ok.. very very thin - didnt seem like its a pizza!!!
Overall its a good place
The floor space was a little tight, even for a busy downtown spot. This made things generally uncomfortable. Service was great. Ambiance was good (live music was a pro), overall, I’d go back but I’d be ready to squeeze in.
Loved everything about this place and the full Italian experience was accentuated by the live accordion player. (Friday night). Service fantastic. Definitely recommend.
Food could be way better, it was too sweet and not typical Italian taste. But the ambience and service were really good.
As always - great food and great service. It’s one of our favourite neighbourhood restaurants.
Fernando and Mario
Such a cute spot. Super friendly waitress. Will be back!
Uncle Tony’s is a lovely spot for couples looking for a romantic meal and the food was great. Would definitely go back...
Overall experience was great...only area found the wine prices out of range.
Fast hot great food
Quaint and quiet with exceptional service and tasty food. Reminds us of the Italian section of New York city with red checkered table clothes and candles stuck in a Chianti bottle usually with a great Italian vocalist.
Uncle Tony’s is a great spot for a large group. The food, service and ambiance are all excellent. Order up a bunch of appetizers, pizzas and pastas for the table to share, family style.
Lindsay was a great waitress who was there when we needed her, with a smile. The accordion music was also a nice touch.
We’ll be back with the famiglia!
I had the gnocchi it was not like any other gnocchi I have eaten before , the texture was odd too me . BUT that does mean it wasn’t very good, the caprese salad was so pretty it seemed a shame to eat it . We throughly enjoyed our pizzas and pastas , the service was excellent our waitress was a hoot judging our table to be causal and fun and was just perfect . Cocktails were delicious - definitely going back
I understand the time i visited was a busy one, but even then i thought the service was very poor.
Food and service is always great ,love the pizza just wish pasta dishes portions a little bigger.
Nice Italian food. Didn't like the TV screens broadcasting hockey. Reminded me of a sports bar. Takes awAy from enjoying a nice meal.
Great spot pre show. We took our teens and they enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere and pasta.
Great place! We took the family after distillery. Better than waiting in line! Traditional Italian ambiance. Pizza and pasta was outstanding.
Love every visit to Uncle Tony’s. My only gripe is that it would be nice if they had the TVs off unless there’s a really big game on. It definitely spoils the traditional Italian vibe.
This is a great place. Amazing atmosphere. Order the crab cakes best in Toronto.
The service was excellent, their food not so great. I had the spaghetti with meatballs and found the pasta a little to al dente and the meatballs although stuffed with cheese were dried out. The sauce had a nice flavour however.
A cozy Italian restaurant with charming atmosphere.
Just a great Italian eatery great food and service at a reasonable price!!
I stumbled across this restaurant on Open Table and I am so glad I did. The food was simply amazing. I highly recommend it!
First time at uncle Tony’s
Great food, great atmosphere, great night.
Definately going back there.
Great food, great ambiance, service was good, great date spot!
I have been here a number of times, with my husband and for a girls night out. Service is always great and food above average. Also, it is just a five minute walk from home, so a neighbourhood gem.
This time my friend and I shared an arugula salad, we each had the pasta special (chicken cacciatore on pappardelle and shared fried cheesecake, blueberry desert. Very happy with all!
As always, it was good. But . . . No doughnuts???? A signature dessert and it’s not available??? Bad form.
S/O loved her meal, which was a chicken milanese. Nicely seasoned with a panko like breading, chicken was moist. However, I ordered the branzino which was disappointing. Fish tasted overcooked and was mushy. Also was full of bones so be careful. Drinks were ridiculous, 4$ for a can of pop.
Great food but they ran out of both desserts we wanted!
Such a cute place. Good portions, good food, friendly service.
An excellent meal... pizza with honey and pear was amazing as well as the Tiramisu is not to be missed
A tad overpriced for simple lunch pasta but decent overall. Should have pasta combos and not just pizza.
The ambiance and the service was excellent. We loved the accordion player and the decor. Our waitress was terrific. Unfortunately the food was bland and boring. We had 3 different pasta dishes and they were all bland and forgettable. Sadly would not recommend this restaurant for good Italian pasta.
Uncle Tony's is quickly becoming one of favourite restaurants. The food and service are always great. We will be back soon.
Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Dinner was authentic and fresh. Would definitely go back and recommend it.
Good food at reasonable prices! Authentic Italian!
the ambience of this restaurant was truly beautiful. The accordion player added to the romantic vibe that the candle lit tables gave off. The server was very friendly and recommended to try the chilli oil which was perfect for the pizza. The spaghetti was delicious but the pasta to meatball ratio was off; not enough actual spaghetti. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be returning.
Disappointed the online menu wasn’t the menu offered. We went specifically for the Osso Buco but it wasn’t on the menu any more The veal scallopini was a poor alternative. Also had to share a booth with other couple even though we had reservations
Awesome experience as always! Best service and amazing food!!
