Some dishes are very good--like the a Greek salad and gyros. Servings are plentiful and prices are good for NYC. The sangria and moussaka are sub par, in my opinion. The food is not as tasty as I remember it being in the past.

Had dinner at Nick's on a saturday night with friends. We had just gotten back from a trip to Greece and wanted some greek food for nostalgia. The dips and pita were great for appetizer. I had the swordfish skewer for around $24, and it was very tasty. They had other traditional Greek items, . My friend had a good Pastitsio, and an ouzo. The food was great. The place is large, and was about 60% occupied during a 9:30 dinner. I would recommend it for sure, especially if you want to eat well and not spend that much money.

I was expecting great Greek food served Iwith Greek integrity. They were chintzy with the olives I asked for a few more for our salad for 4 and I was told I needed to buy a serving. They didn't use olive oil on the salad and it didn't have enough vinegar. There was no hospitable complimentary sweet either. A long way from the Greek taverna I know.

We actually thought we were going to another restaurant. Never mind. The food was authentic Greek like my Mom would make. Quantities overly generous, especially the booze part. (3 oz. of ouzo in a glass). All the food was good. Waiter forgot about us at the beginning but made up for it. Crowd around us was colorful if noisy. Good place and enjoyed it.

Enjoyable Greek cuisine that is in Hells Kitchen, close to the Theater District. They have a pleasant garden, so it's nice to enjoy that in the warm weather. I especially like that the garden is quiet and I can have conversations with friends.

Always love Uncle Nick's. Authentic, well-priced Greek food. Portions are very ample. I recommend both the hot and cold appetizers. Large selection of fish. I especially love the grilled octopus. Will be back. Thanks.

Consistently good since the 80s. Best fresh grilled fish in town. Homey not stylish, can get a little loud if crowded. But the food makes it all worthwhile. And the grilled lamb chops are delicious, too. Uncle Nick's is about the last of the original Hell's Kitchen restaurants. It deserves local support!!

Authentic Greek food with choices often not available in our home town. The Greek Country was huge and the feta on it was flavored beautifully.

Came to Uncle Nick's because we were seeing a late show, not in a rush, and they took an OpenTable reservation for 8 people. We were not disappointed, and we had a great, relaxing, delicious meal!

Love the server and I had a great drink. The Greek salad was very different, the tzatziki sauce was lumpy and I tried mousaka for the first time- nice, another member of the party had chicken kebab served with rice- it looked nice. We were able to start and finish in under 45 min to go to our show.

Very good rating overall. I had the Gyro plate and my wife had the Grilled Calamari and a Greek Salad. We ate outside in the back area. The Roasted Feta cheese and tomatoes appetizer was excellent. Service was very attentive and the ambiance was pleasant. We were there for a pre-theatre dinner on a Friday evening.

This place came highly recommended. I will not go back. Lack of ambiance aside (somewhat a hole in the wall off the street) I found the food and service lacking and not anywhere near standards I've experienced at say Molyvos for half the price. Service was slow although place was pretty much empty. The appetizer dip selection was ok but Huge portion for one person - would have suited 3 or 4. Flounder - whole fish - done well and best part. Accompanying vegetables were mush. Baklava was old, dry and frankly the worst I've ever had. 2 glasses of Greek wine were decent. $75 for one person with tip. Way, way over priced. $35-45 would have been reasonable assuming all the components of the meal were well done.

Not as good as I remember, probably due to waitress who was inattentive despite many pleas to actually engage our table. The food was good, but nothing special.

I made the mistake of ordering their specialty of fish & chips. It was obviously pre-prepared as the fish was in a mushy coating & the potatoes were cold & soggy. My friends stuffed peppers were also cold tho she liked the taste

A solid, if unspectacular, choice for pre-theater lunch or dinner in Hell's Kitchen. Service was friendly and good, food was quite good, half-carafe of house wine is a good value. I inadvertently left a scarf behind when we left for the theater, and didn't realize until after. When I doubled back to check, they'd packed it up and kept it behind the counter. Nice people. Tasty food. We'll be back.
