Uncle Julio's - Reston Town Center
Uncle Julio’s menu also includes Tex-Mex classics such as tacos, enchiladas & tamales all with a selection of sauces made daily. Insider tip: order the tableside guacamole. It’s prepared for you at your table; if you like it spicy kick it up a notch with fresh chopped jalapenos.
Uncle Julio’s has a vast drink selection. Try our fresh margarita of the day, made to order with fresh fruit. If you prefer a frozen drink then the Swirl is definitely the perfect choice. The Swirl is frozen sangria & frozen margarita layered together dating back to 1987.
For reservations, please allow up to 15 minutes for us to prepare your table.
I love everything about uncle Julio’s it was my first time taking my husband and he absolutely fell in love with how smooth the staff and restaurant was. The food is always amazing
Our waiter was sooooo nice!
I live uncle Julio’s. We eat here pretty often and always enjoy great food and fast, attentive service. My only compliant is the bios level. It is NOISY! Maybe that’s part of the appeal. Anyway. We Leary’s get one of the fajita dishes and they always are great. Also, the guacamole is superb. We tried the pork tamales this time and they were outstanding.
Great waiter and food was great.
I really like Uncle Julio's in Reston - however the noise level is off the charts. The food is good along with the margueritas and the service is also very good. Also - for some reason - the food at this Uncle Julio's is much better than the Uncle Julio's in Ballston.
We showed up 5 mins earlier than our 715 pm reservation. We checked in and they handed us a pager and said they would seat us shortly. We waited 20 mins, husband went to check on our table and then they sat us. They forgot about us. I’m really not sure what would have happened if he didn’t check they probably would have given our table away. It was a busy Saturday night.
Average food - tortillas and tamales had an odd consistency. Tableside guacamole was bland. Outstanding service.
Did not get a table for 45 minutes past reservation time.
Really good Tex/Mex. If that’s what you’re looking for, it’s the best in the DC metro area! Lots of families and very busy. My family loves going there!
Fun and yummy
The food is usually very good. We always get a reservation because it gets crowded. The chips and salsa are always excellent, the queso and tableside guacamole and delicious. I love the fajitas both steak and chicken. My husband loves this restaurant. Me too. Great place for all ages. Loud so kids making noise doesn’t matter. The whole family can enjoy!! Highly recommend
Have been going to this location since 1993 (before Reston was as built up). Consistent menu with quality ingredients and good value for money. Wait staff is always friendly and super efficient. Our drinks, chips and salsa never got below 1/2 and the portions were great. Was a lovely lunch and would go back again in a heartbeat.
We went on Christmas Eve, specifically for the chocolate piñata which we thoroughly enjoyed. We’d been once before long ago and found the food okay, but nothing special. Again food was somewhat underwhelming. We have other places we prefer for Mexican food, but the piñata was fun and tasty (got the $25 one with more fruit). Drinks were also good and no complaints regarding service.
Manager comped us a guacamole board and a free dessert for my wife’s birthday.
UJ’s has been slipping in food quality lately - I hope it’s momentary, cuz for years it’s been superb!
Outstanding service and quality. The chocolate piñata was especially fun.
Both food and service were excellent. Considering the quality, the prices were justified.
Food was good, service was not. We went on a Sat evening, they were very busy. We had one of the inside tables. It was hard to flag servers down.
Would also recommend adding more lighting in the restaurant. Depending on where you sit, we could barely read the menu.
Sizzling fajitas didn’t sizzle and were lukewarm.
Service was great, food was wonderful, especially the table side Guacamole. Place was hopping on the Friday night before Christmas, yet the wait staff and hosts still made our party feel special.
Great food, but the service is normally lacking. This location takes customers for granted based upon the location and the fact that they have great food. Prepare yourself for the best beef fajitas around, but don’t get expect your waiter to check on you very often.
The server was horrible. There are no booths. The tables are crammed into this small corner restaurant. Uncle Julio's in Columbia, MD is way better.
Great food & service in a festive atmosphere-highly recommend the tableside guacamole & the original fajitas!
So disappointed after almost 20 years of eating here. The portions were so small (beef fajitas) and the price was outrageous. There are better options including Tavern 64 where we should have stayed instead of leaving there to go to Rio Grande.
Their drinks are great and their food never disappoints. Servers have always been quick, attentive, and friendly
I like the place - service is great - food is awesome the drawback for this location is the noise level - it is ridiculous!
Service was very friendly and attentive! The drinks were on point and the food was delicious! We were from Richmond so we don’t live there but when we come for a DC visit we will be going back to Uncle Julio’s!
Great food, too loud. Great food, too loud. Great food, too loud. Great food, too loud.
While our food was good, the service on a Saturday night was slow and so noisy!!!
We love this place and the food is amazing! They are also very accommodating to people with service dogs!!
The quality of the ingredients used for my meal are what really stood out to me. The fresh made tortillas where excellent. All of the cheeses used in our cheese dip had great flavor as well. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy Mexican.
Pleasant for casual dinner with friends; great service.
The food was great. Definitely would go back again.
I haven't been to the Reston location in many many years. The food was not very good. Even the staple queso was bland and tasted more like velveeta. It was overall a disappointing visit. I'll be going to the FFX corner location.
Lots of flies, not sure if there is anything you can do about that though, they were near tables close to front and side entrance
We came on a Saturday evening. They were busy but had us seated within 5 minutes of our reservation. Our waiter was excellent. Predicted our needs even though he had multiple large tables. Food was delicious.
Uncle Julio’s is always tasty! We enjoyed our fajitas, enchiladas and margarita!!!
Great food and service! Elizabeth our server was outstanding. WIll definitely go back soon to this neighborhood gem.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Out of 6 meals, 5 meals were wrong or incomplete when originally served, the worst offense being a vegetarian enchilada order with a meat sauce. After taking over 15 minutes to correct the issue when we got the bill we had been charge not once but twice for the messed up enchilada order. To top it all off the entire meal was sloooow, we spent an hour and 45 minutes in the restaurant just to eat dinner, no desert.
